Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between stride length, stride width, and walking speed on the risk of falls in older people at the Tresna Werdha Tulus Kasih Dan Budi Pertiwi Social Home, Bandung City. The method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional research design. The study showed a relationship between step length and the risk of falling, p-value = 0.002 (p ≤ 0.05). There is a relationship between step width and fall risk, p-value = 0.002 (p ≤ 0.05). There is a relationship between walking speed and the risk of falling, p-value = 0.002 (p ≤ 0.05). In conclusion, stride length, width, and walking speed are physical factors that influence the body's balance and coordination. Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of self-care based foot gymnastics intervention on foot sensitivity, The method used is Quasi Experimental Design with Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design design that provides pretest before undergoing intervention. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Paired Samples Test, the resulting P value is 0.000 < 0.05, where there is an effect of Foot Exercises Based on Self care on Diabetes Foot Sensitivity in the intervention group before and after the foot exercise intervention based on self care, Conclusion that there is an effect of Self care Based Foot Exercises on Foot Sensitivity. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Foot Sensitivity, Foot Gymnastics, Self Care.
