Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the ability of students in completing National Examination on Phyiscs Subject for Senior High School. The research was conducted at the Department of Physics Mathematic and Science Faculty at UNM. Research subject is Physics Education Program student at six semester, even semester of academic year 2011/2012. Analyzes were performed using descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing while using Kruskal-Wallis formula. Conclusions from the study are: (1) an average score is 63.07; (2) The average score of physical education students' of Schools in the Makassar is 62.00, in the Capital District/Town is 62.50, and outside the Capital District/Municipality is 63.63, and (3) There is a difference significantly among the three the students of school in the city of Makassar, the capital district, outside the capital city.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih mendalam tentang hubungan antara hasil belajar fisika dasar II dan beberapa faktor psikologis (konsep diri, motivasi berprestasi, dan minat belajar) baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah survey yang sifatnya korelasional dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa S-1 Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNM Makassar yang sedang/telah memprogramkan matakuliah fisika dasar II tahun akademik 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 148 orang. Sampel diperoleh melalui multi Stage random sampling dengan cara incidental dan diperoleh ukuran sampel 85 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan nontes. Instrumen nontes menggunakan lembar kuesioner yang telah divalidasi secara teoretik oleh tiga pakar metodologi melalui teori Aiken V. Variabel penelitian terdiri atas tiga variabel bebas yaitu konsep diri (X1), motivasi berprestasi (X2), dan minat belajar (X3) serta satu variabel terikat yaitu hasil belajar fisika dasar II (Y). Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisi deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar fisika dasar II, konsep diri, motivasi berprestasi, dan minat belajar mahasiswa S-1 Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNM Makassar, keempat-empatnya berada pada kategori sedang. Selanjutnya hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara konsep diri dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II, (2) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II, (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara minat belajar dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II, dan (4) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara konsep diri, motivasi berprestasi, dan minat belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II, (5) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara konsep diri dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II jika motivasi berprestasi dan minat belajar dikendalikan, (6) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II jika konsep diri dan minat belajar dikendalikan, dan (7) terdapat hubungan positif yang siqnifikan antara minat belajar dengan hasil belajar fisika dasar II jika konsep diri dan motivasi berprestasi dikendalikan pada mahasiswa S-1 Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA UNM Makassar. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Fisika Dasar II, Konsep Diri, Motivasi Berprestasi, dan Minat Belajar.

Abstract

Abstract - The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in physics learning outcomes between students taught using the discovery model and problem solving models, both overall, high learning motivation, and low motivation to learn. In addition, to analyze the effect of interactions between learning models with learning motivation on student physics learning outcomes. To achieve these objectives, an experimental study using treatment by level design, 2 x 2 factorial. The population of this study were all students of grade XI MIA SMAN 9 Makassar. The research sample subjects were taken through cluster random sampling technique. Grade XI MIA 1 and MIA 3 students as an experimental class taught using the discovery model. While students of grade XI MIA 2 and XI MIA 4 as controls are taught using problem solving models. Data collection about physics learning outcomes and learning motivation using test and non-test instrument techniques. Data were then analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that overall, there were differences in physics learning outcomes between students who were taught using the discovery model and problem solving models. Furthermore, there is no effect of interaction between learning models with learning motivation on learning outcomes in physics. There is a difference in physics learning outcomes between students taught using the discovery learning model and problem solving models, both students who have high motivation to learn and those who have low learning motivation.Keywords: discovery model, problem solving, learning motivation, treatment by level design, two-way ANOVA, physics learning outcomes.
