Abstract

Transformation geometry is one of the subjects in the curriculum structure of the Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University Mathematics Education Study Program taught in semester 4. One of the goals of learning transformation geometry is for students to comprehend transformation geometry in depth and be able to formulate concepts in a problem. Of course, to achieve this goal many problems are faced. This article seeks to conduct an objective descriptive analysis of the problems in building students' understanding of the geometry of transformation concepts based on the teaching experience of transformation geometry courses. Next we will try to find a strategy to overcome all problems in building understanding of the concept of transformation geometry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model with a realistic mathematics education (PMR) approach to students' affective aspects of mathematics. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. This study consisted of independent variable namely jigsaw cooperative learning model with realistic approach and one dependent variable namely the affective aspects of students' mathematics. The population in this study was the eighth grade students of State Junior High Schools in North Lampung Regency. Sampling was carried out by stratified cluster random sampling technique and obtained 9 classes from 3 state junior high schools in North Lampung Regency, consisting of 3 experimental classes I, 3 experimental classes II, and 3 control classes. The instrument for collecting data is a questionnaire on the affective aspects of mathematics, Testing the hypothesis in this study using a t-test. The results showed that there was an influence of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model with the PMR approach to the affective aspects of students'mathematics.

Abstract

Subject Algebra Ring or Algebra Abstract has abstract characteristics and requires a variety of supporting knowledge to learn it. Abstract characteristic in the material of algebra ring requires a lecturer to innovate creatively, pack material to be easily understood by the students and design the learning that can improve the students' capabilities. Learning innovation should be done continuously by reflecting the effectiveness of the learning that has been done. Lesson Study facilitates the quality of learning to be improved through the cycle 1) Plan (Plan), 2) do (perform), and see (reflect), which is done collaboratively and with the collegial principle. Lesson Study gives a positive impact so that the dynamic mathematics learning can be implemented.

Abstract

The main purpose of studying mathematics is to find ways to solve problems or mathematics problems. What is meant by problems or mathematics problems is a thing that final result, or how to solve it is not known. In solving mathematical problems there are several strategies that can be used that are: direct proof, indirect proof, verification with contradiction, proof with examples of denying, reverse working strategy, pattern discovery, and the use of bird house principles.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to produce a product in the form of opportunity teaching materials with a contextual approach oriented to mathematical reasoning and disposition abilities with an Android-based basis. Teaching material was developed using the development research (R&D) methodology. Teaching materials are validated, then tested on third semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi Academic Year 2019/2010. Based on the results of the validation, an assessment is obtained from the side; 1) graphic design obtained a score of 153 in the very good category, 2) presentation of the material obtained a score of 129 was in the very good category, 3) the feasibility of the content obtained a score of 90 was in the very category, 4) Reasoning obtained a score of 37 which is in the good category because are in the interval of 30 ≤ S ≤ 38. Furthermore, based on the results of tests on students, an assessment of; 1) aspects of the display is obtained a score of 659 is in the good category, 2) aspects of the presentation of the material obtained by a score of 655 is in good, 3) aspects of the benefits obtained by a score of 1039 are in the good category. Thus it can be concluded that the teaching materials made have met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness

Abstract

This study aims to analitis the problems of transformation geometry learning at the semester of the 2019/2020 academic year which are carried out online, then attempt to determine solutions and follow-up online learning based on the results of the evaluation. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research technique used was a survey technique. The research was carried out on students in semester 4 of the 2019-2020 academic year study program of mathematics education, FKIP Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University in the Transformation Geometry subject with 30 respondents as the object of research. The instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 9 questions. The conclusions of this study are 1) it is better if lecturers in online learning use an application that is agreed upon at the beginning of the lecture and is easily accessible to students, 2) it is better if you prepare learning media / materials in the form of digital learning videos that can be accessed via YouTube, WhatsApp, or Instagram. etc., 3) uploading the syllabus, RPS, and material in the learning application, 4) providing lecture information must still be through the learning application and also shared via the WhatsApp Group, 5) providing a grace period for submitting assignments, 6) Continuing to carry out formative and diagnostic assessments for get feedback and return the results of UTS and UAS to Students.

Abstract

The success of online learning is determined by several aspects, namely aspects of facilities and infrastructure as well as aspects of the ability of lecturers and students in organizing online learning. This article aims to examine the role of digital literacy in online learning. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that digital literacy skills have an important role in online learning. Students with good digital literacy skills will strive to find and select important information and understand, communicate, and convey ideas in the digital space. In addition, digital literacy skills will open opportunities for students to think, communicate, and work which ultimately leads to student learning success.

Abstract

The development of interactive learning media using Aurora 3D Presentation 2012 for understanding the concept of building material for class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kotabumi is motivated by the lack of use of computers as learning media for Aurora 3D Presentation 2012 especially mathematics. The use of learning media that is not optimal is one of the causes of students not understanding a good concept understanding, especially in the material of building space. This development was carried out with the aim of knowing the development process and the feasibility of learning media on interactive learning media using Aurora 3D Presentation 2012 for understanding the concept of building space. This development was carried out with the aim of knowing how to develop learning media based on Aurora 3D Presentation 2012. The development adopted by Sugiyono, research was limited to 7 stages of development, namely 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation. , 5) design revision, 6) trial 7) Product revision due to limited time and cost. The type of data in this study used quantitative data and qualitative data. The results of this study are: (1) The products produced in this study include the product manufacturing stage, then validation and product revision are carried out; (2) The results of the validation test assessment by material experts are 90% with the "very feasible" criteria; (3) The results of the validation test assessment by media experts were 97% with the "very feasible" criteria; (4) The results of the validation test assessment by linguists were 98% with the criteria of "very feasible"; (5) The results of the validation test assessment by education practitioners are 100% with the criteria of "very feasible" (6) The results of the test and assessment of student responses are 86% with the criteria of "very feasible". Based on the assessments obtained from experts, education practitioners and student responses, it can be concluded that the learning media product based on Aurora 3D Presentation 2012 to improve understanding of the concept of flat triangles and quadrilaterals for class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kotabumi is very feasible to be used as learning media.
