Abstract

Good print media are those prioritizing the writing quality. Although theyemphasize more on effectiveness, efficiency, and cost, they should take intoaccount of the writing quality, without violating the Indonesian language rules.Some violations found in journalistic writing include: (1) spelling and punctuationviolations, (2) grammatical violations, consisting of errors in syllable separation,morphological violations, and syntactic errors, (3) semantic violations, and (4)discourse violations. Other problems concern loanwords, namely foreign wordsthat are already popular in the community. The replacement of foreign wordsabsorbed into the Indonesian language with unavailable Indonesian equivalentsresults in difficulty.Keywords: journalistic language, mass media, language maintenance

Abstract

This study was aimed at identifying the the effect of learning strategies and initial knowledge on the ability in developing writing skills assessment instruments for students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FBS, UNJ. The method used in this research was experimental research with 46 samples. Sample 3 PB1 was treated with metacognition strategy and sample 3 PB2 was treated, with strategy advance organizer. The research instrument was a test of the ability to develop writing skills assessment instruments and a test of initial knowledge. After testing the hypothesis with the ANOVA test, in the 2 X 2 calculation table, Fcount (Inter-A) 6.008> Ftable 4.200 at the level of α = 0.05, indicating that H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there are differences in ability to develop writing skills assessment instruments between students who are treated with metacognition strategies and strategies advance organizer. Furthermore, testing the hypothesis about the effect of the interaction of learning strategies and initial knowledge on the ability to develop writing skills assessment instruments and testing prior knowledge, data shows arithmetic (AxB interaction) = 5.485> ftable = 4,200 on the level of α = 0.05, H1 accepted and Ho rejected. That is, there is an interaction effect between learning strategies (metacognition strategies and strategies advance organizer) and initial knowledge (high and low) on the ability to develop writing assessment skills instruments. The learning outcomes of the ability to develop students' writing assessment skills instruments are influenced by learning strategies and initial knowledge.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai gabungan kombinasi proposisi (rekursif) dalam kumpulan cerita pendek Rectoverso karangan Dee. Metode yang digunakan dsalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi.Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pola-pola gabungan kombinasi proposisi atau rekursif dalam wacana kumpulan cerita pendek Rectoverso karangan Dee. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, maka diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut.Kumpulan cerita pendek Rectoverso karya Dee menggunakan dua pola gabungan kombinasi proposisi (rekursif) yaitu pola 1 atau gabungan antara kombinasi proposisi koordinasi dan relativisasi dan pola 2 atau gabungan kombinasi proposisi koordinasi dan komplementasi. Sedangkan pola 3 atau gabungan kombinasi proposisi relativisasi dan komplementasi sama sekali tidak muncul. Pola gabungan kombinasi proposisi (rekursif) yang paling banyak muncul adalah pola 1 atau gabungan antara kombinasi proposisi proposisi koordinasi dan kombinasi proposisi relativisasi yaitu sebanyak 87,5%. Sementara itu, pola 2 atau gabungan kombinasi proposisi koordinasi dan komplementasi digunakan sebanyak 12,5%. Dominasi kemunculan pola 1 gabungan kombinasi proposisi (rekursif) disebabkan karena penulis banyak menggunakan bentuk kombinasi proposisi koordinasi untuk menghubungkan proposisi-proposisinya dengan menggunakan konjungsi koordinatif karena cara tersebut merupakan bentuk pengombinasian yang paling mudah. Selain itu, penulis juga banyak menggunakan kombinasi proposisi relativisasi untuk membatasi proposisi agar maksud yang ingin disampaikan tidak melebar dan lebih fokus dengan cara membatasi bagiannya. Kombinasi proposisi koordinasi dan relativisasi yang telah digunakan kemudian dipadukan kembali dengan cara rekursif sehingga terbentuklah pola 1 gabungan kombinasi proposisi. Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the information about the availability of debate text learning material in school. This research was held in January to June 2020. The main focus in this study was the development of debate text learning material with simulation method for tenth grader of senior high school. The ADDIE model was used as an approach in this research and development (R&D) design. By using debate text learning material with simulation method makes students be able to achieve learning objectives well. Small trial implementation was done on nine X grader of SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta by using the Zoom Meeting and Google Classroom. The result of statistical analysis calculation showed the highest prates score is 70 and the lowest score is 35, while the highest postes score is 95 and the lowest score is 80. Based on the assessment and discussion result by material expert validator and practitioner validator, it was concluded that the debate text material learning material with simulation method for tenth grader of senior high school were proper to be used in the learning process and stimulate students’ skills effectively. Keywords: learning material, debate text, simulation method Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang ketersediaan materi atau bahan ajar teks debat di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari hingga bulan Juni 2020. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pengembangan materi ajar teks debat dengan metode simulasi untuk siswa kelas X SMA/SMK. Penggunaan materi ajar teks debat dengan metode simulasi ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan baik. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan R&D (Research & Development) dengan model ADDIE. Pelaksanaan uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada sembilan orang siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta melalui aplikasi Zoom Meeting dan Google Classroom. Hasil perhitungan analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai prates tertinggi adalah 70 dan nilai terendah adalah 35, sedangkan nilai postes tertinggi adalah 95 dan nilai terendahnya adalah 80. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dan diskusi dengan validator ahli materi dan validator praktisi, disimpulkan bahwa produk Pengembangan Materi Ajar Teks Debat dengan Metode Simulasi Siswa Kelas X SMA/SMK layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan efektif untuk mengasah keterampilan siswa. Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and learning outcomes of the application of the two-stay- two-guest method based on HOTS literacy in the learning of imaginative story writing skills for seventh grade students of SMPN 43 Jakarta. This research was conducted in class VII SMPN 43 Jakarta with a sample of 61 people. The research method used is descriptive analysis adapted to the problem to be revealed. Based on the results of data analysis regarding the application of the 2T 2T method based on HOTS literacy in learning the ability to write imaginative story texts for class VII SMPN 43 Jakarta, it was declared successful. This can be seen from the comparison of student learning outcomes before and after being treated. The average value of the ability to write imagination text at the pretest was 55.94 and 79.76 at the posttest. From these data, it can be seen that the ability to write imaginary texts on the pretest is still lacking because it does not reach the KKM, while the ability to write imaginary texts on the posttest is categorized as good because it has reached the KKM. The success of learning the ability to write imaginative texts is strongly influenced by the 2T 2T method based on HOTS literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a performance-based assessment model for descriptive text writing skills at the junior high school level. The success of the learning process for descriptive text writing skills in junior high school can be seen in the learning outcomes achieved by students. These learning outcomes are obtained through assessments conducted by teachers at school. However, in reality, teachers face difficulties in developing assessment tools for descriptive text writing skills. These difficulties are addressed by developing a performance-based assessment model for descriptive text writing skills. The research method used in developing the ADDIE model for skills assessment is Research and Development. The ADDIE model consists of five steps: (1) analysis; (2) design for performance-based descriptive text writing; (3) development; (4) implementation; and (5) evaluation. The results of this research include the characteristics of the assessment model for Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level.
