Abstract

Spirulina platensis is a microalgae that contains nutrients such us iron and phycocianin higher than other microalgae. Research on suplementation of S. platensis in Osteochilus vittatus cultured in biofloc system has never been done. The aim of this study was to determine the blood hematological and biochemical parameters of O. vittatus fed with S. platensis supplementation and maintained in biofloc system. The study was conducted experimentally with Completely Randomized Design, four treatments and five replications. O. vittatus were fed with S. platensis level 0, 2, 4, and 6 g.kg-1 for 56 days. Blood hematological and biochemical parameters were measured on days 0 and 56. Values of those parameters were then analyzed using ANOVA with a confidence level of 95%. The result showed that the highest red blood cells, white blood cells, and hemoglobin counts were 1.57x106­­­­ cell.mm-3, 2.37x105 cell.mm-3, and 6.77 g.dl-1 respectivley, while the highest hematocrit value was 17.5 %. The highest total protein, albumin, and globulin in blood were 7.96 g.dL-1, 4.31 g.dL-1, and 3.79 g.dL-1 respectively, and the best for ratio A/G was 1.14. S. platensis suplementation level of 4g.kg-1 feed was the most optimum level (P<0.05). Cultivation of fish with S. platensis supplementation in feed can increase fish health indicated by the hematological and biochemical parameters of the blood and the fish maintenance in biofloc systems can improve water quality. The benefit of this research is to make a good condition for cultivation and efficiently used not only water but also feed.

Abstract

Ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan perikanan yang seiring dengan meningkatnya permintaan di pasaran, ssehingga produktivitasnya harus dipacu terus menerus dengan berbagai teknolgi akuakultur sistem intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak bawang putih melalui pakan dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan nila yang dipelihara dalam sistem bioflok. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai bulan Juni 2021 di Laboratorium Basah Kolam Bioflok. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan 1 kontrol serta 3 kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati berupa parameter pertumbuhan meliputi pertambahan berat dan panjang, laju pertumbuhan spesifik (spesific growth rate/SGR), konversi pakan (food convertion ratio/FCR), dan efisiensi pakan serta jumlah flok yang terbentuk dalam ember kultur. Parameter pendukung berupa kualitas air yang meliputi suhu dan pH. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) pada taraf kepercayaan 95%, dilanjutkn dengan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Data kualitas air dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penambahan serbuk bawang putih (Allium sativum) dalam pakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan nila (O. niloticus) hanya berpengaruh nyata pada pertambahan panjang dan SGR, sedangakan pertambahan berat dan FCR serta efisiensi pakan tidak berbeda nyata. Dosis optimum yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan nila yaitu pada P3 22,5 g/kg pakan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, pemberian serbuk bawang putih melalui pakan berpotensi meningkatkanpertumbuhan ikan nila yang dipelihara dalam sistem bioflok.

Abstract

Infeksi bakteri patogen dalam akuakultur merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menghambat dalam perkembangan akuakultur. Bakteri patogen seperti Aeromonas hydrophila adalah jenis bakteri yang sering menyerang ikan dalam budidaya, termasuk pada budidaya ikan mas. Upaya-upaya penanggulangan bakteri patogen dalam budidaya terus dilakukan guna mendukung keberhasilan dalam budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat respon pertumbuhan dan daya tahan tubuh benih ikan Mas Rajadanu (Cyprinus carpio) yang diberi probiotik terhadap infeksi dari Aeromonas hydrophila. Penelitian ini menggunakanan 4 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan, masing-masing perlakuan menggunakan dosis pemberian probiotik Efektif Mikroorganisme 4 (EM4) yang berbeda, dan satu perlakuan merupakan kontrol. Parameter pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup, daya tahan dan kualitas air benih ikan diamati dan diambil datanya. Analisis data terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan dilakukan menggunakan uji F dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Pengamatan gejala klinis pada benih ikan mas sebagai ikan uji yang terinfeksi bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila dilakukan dengan mengamati kerusakan fisik, uji refleks dan respon ikan terhadap pakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pemberian probiotik Efektif Mikroorganisme 4 (EM4) tidak mempengaruhi secara signifikan baik itu terhadap pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup maupun terhadap daya tahan tubuh benih ikan Mas Rajadanu (Cyprinus carpio).

Abstract

This research was purposed to reveal and discover fish community in Pelus River, Banyumas Residency. It includes: (1) water quality which include physical and chemical parameters and plankton species variation, (2) Fish diversity, (3) Fish age structure was based weight and total length. Research done by survey methods, with purposive random sampling methode. The research was conducted in Pelus River Region of Banyumas Residency, which were location one (upstream of Pelus River), location two (middlestream of Pelus River), and location three (downstream of Pelus River). This Research applied survey method, with purposive random sampling technique. Research was done in eight months which replicated every month, since December 2016 untill May 2017. Result indicated that nesearch fishes caught were as many as 544 fishes divided to 18 Species, eight Family and five Ordo. Water quality factor including aquatic physical and chemical parameters, which were temperature, flowrate, clarity, dissolved oxygen and pH and bilogical parameter (plankton)  variation in Pelus River Banyumas Residency were in good condition and suitable for fish life. Cyprinidae Family found as most variated species and most founded spesies in individual number at Pelus River Banyumas Residency. There were low species diversity, but there weren’t found any dominancies. Fish species diversity in Pelus river low. Age structure shows the condition of fish in Pelus River of Banyumas regency is in a vulnerable condition, so it needs attention in order to conserve fish species. Keywords: Fish diversity, age structure, Pelus river, Banyumas
