Abstract

Teacher training is a group of several activities conducted intentionally by a group of people or someone using many kinds of learning type to enhance capability, knowledge, experience and action to create meaningful learning. The aim of this study is to describe teacher training in tuition center. The method applied in this study is explanatory mixed method by Creswell. Data collection technique used are questionnaire, interview, observation and applied parametric inferential data for numerical data. The research result showed that even though tutors in tuition center are not from educational program, they still have high interest to teach. The existed training system is proven to be effective to teach pedagogical knowledge for tutors with non educational program. Training program for tutors are not systematic yet, therefore there is a huge oportunity and challenge for curriculum developer to create a curriculum for tutors in tuition center that can be use by all tuition center in Indonesia. This study proved that there is an urgent need of curriculum for teacher training program in tuition center and also become a reference to develop the curriculum. This study can be used as a reference for curriculum developer to create curriculum for tutors in tuition center.

Abstract

In 21st century education demands the creation of quality human resources. The government's efforts in dealing with 21st century results are using the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. One of the goals of the 2013 curriculum is to improve student learning. Increasing learning outcomes can be done using learning resources in the form of modules. Currently there are many studies on the   effect of integrated science modules on student learning outcomes. Several studies have different    results, so the research results need to be presented with a meta-analysis method. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the size of the effect of the integrated science module on learning outcomes. The analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. This research uses 25 journals consisting of international and national journals. From the journal, several indicators were obtained, namely grade level, material, learning, integrated models, and applied learning. Based on the results of research resulting from the effect of the use of an integrated science module which is effectively used in learning which can be seen from student learning outcomes in integrated science learning.

Abstract

This paper documents the design and evaluation of an adaptive training curriculum document for tutors in tuition center. The aim of this study is (1) to develop adaptive curriculum model for tutors in tuition center to enhance pedagogical competency, (2) to organize adaptive curriculum model for tutors in tuition center to enhance pedagogical competency, (3) to evaluate curriculum model for tutors in tuition center to enhance pedagogical competency. This research used research and development method by Sugiyono and curriculum development model by Hilda Taba. Data collection method of this research were questionnaire, structured interview and direct observation. Validation technics used in this research are validation by experts. According to the result; (1) based on need analysis, curriculum model needed for tutors consist of seven main subjects, (2) the organization used is adaptive separated curriculum, (3) according to the validation, adaptive curriculum model for tutors in tuition center to enhance pedagogical competency is proper to apply. This research and development result showed that there are seven sub competencies should be in tutors training program curriculum to enhance pedagogical competency. This research provides contribution of curriculum in form of synthesis study of adaptive curriculum document in Indonesian subjects of tutors training program.
