Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesopanan tutur kata pada interaksi kelas bahasa inggris bagi pelajar asing dan implikasinya terhadap proses belajar mengajar pada kelas bahasa inggris bagi pelajar asing di smp negeri 2 tabanan pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Permasalahan yang pertama, mengungkap jenis strategy kesopanan yang digunakan oleh siswa dan guru kelas delapan pada kelas bahasa Inggris bagi pelajar asing di SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan. Permasalahan yang ke dua fungsi atau intruksi apa yang terimplikasi dalam setrategi kesopanan tersebut oleh oleh siswa dan guru kelas delapan pada kelas bahasa Inggris bagi pelajar asing di SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan. Permasalahan yang terakhir adalah implikasi yang ditimbulkan terhadap implikasinya terhadap proses belajar mengajar pada kelas bahasa inggris bagi pelajar asing di smp negeri 2 tabanan. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Adapun data pada penelitian ini didapat dari percakapan pada proses belajar dan mengajar di dalam kelas dengan menggunakan rekaman video dan wawancara. Data yang di dapat dalam bentuk percakapan. Percakapan tersebut diidentifikasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui strategi kesopanan yang digunakan oleh guru dan siswa. Kemudian, analisisnya dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis fungsi yang terkandung dalam strategi kesopanan yang digunakan oleh mereka, dan terakhir, dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis dan mendiskusikan implikasi dari kesopanan dalam tutur kata dalam interaksi kelas pengajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kesopanan mengadung lima strategi, yaitu; secara langsung dan blakblakan tanpa kemasan kesantunan, secara langsung dengan kemasan kesantunan positif, secara langsung dengan kemasan kesantunan negatif, secara tidak langsung, dan secara diam. Fungsi dari kesopanan bisa dibagi menjadi tiga, yaitu; ekpresif, intruksi/perintah, dan bersifat member pentunjuk atau penjelasan. Kesopanan juga menimbulkan implikasi terhadap hubungan antara guru dan siswa, motivasi dalam belajar, dan sukses dalam belajar. Kata Kunci : Kesopanan Tutur Kata, Strategi Kesopanan, Tindak Tutur, and Interaksi Kelas bagi Pelajar Asing This study aimed at investigating the politeness in EFL classroom interactions and its implications toward EFL teaching-learning in Smp Negeri 2 Tabanan in Academic Year 2013/2014. The first problem was to reveal the kinds of politeness strategies which were used in the classroom interaction by the grade-eight EFL teacher and students of SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan. The second problem was the kinds of instructional function implied in the politeness strategies used by the grade-eight EFL teacher and students of SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan in EFL classroom interaction, and the last problem was the implication of politeness strategies towards English teaching-learning process in SMP Negeri 2 Tabanan. The research was designed by using qualitative research. The data were taken from the conversations of the teaching and learning process in the classroom through video recorded and interview. The obtained data were in the form of conversation. The conversation was identified and analyzed descriptively in order to know the politeness strategy used by teacher and students. The analysis was continued by identifying and analyzing the functions which were included in the politeness strategies used by them, and the last, it was continued by analyzing and discussing the implication of the politeness are occurred at the EFL classroom interaction. The result of the study show politeness was conveyed through five strategies, namely; bald-on record, positive politeness, negative politeness, off record, and saying nothing. The functions of the politeness can be divided into three, namely, expressive, directive, and representative function. The politeness were found to bring implications toward teacher-students relationship, motivation for learning, and success in lerning. keyword : politeness, politeness strategies, speech acts, and EFL classroom interaction.

Abstract

Balinese Local Heroes should be role models for all children around Bali. The spirit of the heroes is full of positive characters. Those characters are essential in building a good personality in every single kid. This study aims to analyze Balinese local heroes' effect into puppets show on Youtube as ELT media for building students' character. The research was designed as a qualitative study. The data taken from the observed interaction at the puppets showed on YouTube that students watched. The obtained data were students' and parent's data interviews and questionnaires. The study results showed that Balinese Local Heroes' spirit transformed into puppet shows on YouTube affected students accurately because the media was engaging. Some character values were affected, willingness to sacrifice, bravery, defense of truth and justice, noble, responsible, and patriotic. The social function of all of the values was essential. The values transformed into a positive attitude in social life. The student became a good helper to the people who need help. They clean the environment without any intention and have a responsibility to do their duty as a student.

Abstract

Abstract  This study aimed to investigate the phenomenon about implementation of digital media suporting the development of English Language in early childhood students at Tunas Mekar Kindergarten Tegaljadi Village. This study find out perceptions of teachers, children, and parents regarding the how was the implementation process of digital media suporting English developmet in early childhood students in Tunas Mekar Tegaljadi Village, and to determine the perception of teacher and parents how efective digital media supporting English development in early childhood students at Tunas Mekar Tegaljadi Village. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method with observation sheets and interview guides to teachers, children, and parents. As for the results, first, In general, it runs smoothly through three processes, namely the preparation process, activities, and evaluation. At each stage this has been carried out optimally by teachers and students who are accompanied by their parents. Second, learning English through digital media has also been able to improve the development of early childhood English in TK Tunas Mekar II. They have been able to pronounce simple vocabulary in English. Able to say greetings and be able to follow orders through verbs in English. Besides that, the children did this activity with great enthusiasm and fun.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena Pengenalan Literasi Digital melalui Cerita Narasi Berbahasa Inggris pada Aplikasi YouTube sebagai Penanaman karakter anak di Taman Kanak-kanak Tunas Mekar II Desa Tegaljadi. Pertama, untuk mengetahui proses atau tahapan kegiatan pembelajaran pengenalan melalui cerita narasi berbahasa Inggris pada aplikasi YouTube sebagai penanaman karakter anak, kedua untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang dapat ditumbuhkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran melalui cerita narasi berbahasa Inggris pada aplikasi YouTube sebagai penanaman karakter anak di TK Tunas Mekar II ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara kepada guru dan orang tua. Adapun hasilnya, pertama proses atau tahapan kegiatan disusun tahapan dimulai dari pemberian link YouTube kepada anak dan orang tua, menonton cerita narasi secara bersama sama, mengenal beberapa kata Bahasa Inggris yang ada pada cerita, mengenal warna, bentuk objek, menghitung objek yang terdapat pada cerita narasi dengan Bahasa Inggris, bernyanyi dengan English Rhyme, berfikir kritis terhadap sebuah permasalahan, dan mendapatkan pemeblajaran nilai moral yang terkandung pada cerita narasi tersebut. Kedua, terdapat 18 karakter tang dapat ditumbuhkan dalam kegiatan pendidikan ekowisata ini seperti religious, jujur, toleran, disiplin, bekerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan bertanggung jawab ditambah kemampuan nalar anak yang cerdas menerima dan menyebarkan informasi yang baik, nyata, dan memupuk perdamaian. Abstract

COVID-19 provides a bad life for human life. All activities become inhibited and limited. Similarly in the field of education. Students must learn and do their activities at home. But this can be a good development for the development of the character of education in Family Environment. Thus the purpose of this research is to study whether research studies while at home are accompanied by parents who are able to develop character education, that is the first. Second, to find out what character values ​​can be developed during learning at home. Third, to find out the cause of developing with these character values. This study used qualitative research method. With case studies on kindergarten and elementary school students in Kecamatan Marga. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires to students, parents and teachers through the Whatsapp group of teachers and parents of students. Also strengthened by interview data on students, parents and teachers. The results showed differences in the development of character education and the relationship between children and parents that were quite good during learning from this house. Character values ​​that can be developed from activities carried out by students at home are (1) Religious, (2) Disciplinary, (3) Creative, (4) Independent, (5) Responsibility, and (6) Curiosity. The development of these character values ​​is the result of the synergy of teachers and parents in guiding students with gratitude, engaging, carrying out positive activities together in this COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the phenomenon about Teachers’ Interpersonal Communication Strategies in remote teaching during Pandemic COVID-19 at Tunas Mekar Kindergarten Tegaljadi Village and to determine the some resistances found in implementing interpersonal communication strategies by teachers during this Pandemic in Tunas Mekar Tegaljadi Village. It used a qualitative descriptive method using observation sheets and interview guides to teachers and parents. As for the results, first, there was three interpersonal communication strategies used by teacher in remote teaching during Pandimic COVID-19 at TK Tunas Mekar; 1) Communication as Action or One-Way Communication, 2) Communication as Interaction or Two-Way Communication, and 3) Multi-Way Communication or Transaction Communication. Second, there was some problem as a resintance found in implementing those communication strategies the most basic was slow response or feedback from students and parents, children quickly get bored or lose focus, and technical problems regarding internet networks.

Abstract

Teacher communication is one of the determinants of the effectiveness on bold learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. In bold learning, the teacher designs learning through two types according to the application/learning platform used. Thus, this study analyzes the teacher's synchronous and asynchronous strategies in the learning applications used. The subjects of this study were teachers of SD Negeri 1 and 7 Kediri, Tabanan which consisted of 4 (four) 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teachers on social studies material which was carried out randomly. Teachers of SD Negeri 1 & 7 Kediri Tabanan. The instruments used are observation sheets and interview lists. The results obtained are the establishment of synchronous and asynchronous communication according to the learning context and student conditions through the selection of appropriate learning platform applications. Communication strategies are built to streamline online learning so that online learning can motivate teachers and students.
