Abstract

The aim of this research was to cognize capability of cellulolytic bacteria isolated from peat soil in degradation cornhusk waste. The research was conducted from March to April 2014. The celluloytic bacteria used in this research were Acetobacter (Ab), Acidomonas (Ad), and Cellvibrio (Cv). This research utilized Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consist of 5 treatments, which were treatment A (control), B {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Cv and 2.6ml Ad) added}, C {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Ad and 2.6ml Ab) added}, D {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (2.6ml Cv and 2.6ml Ab) added}, and E {2g of cornhusk with 10% bacterial liquid culture (1.8ml Cv, 1.8ml Ab, and 1.8ml Ad) added}. The combination of Cellvibrio, Acidomonas, and Acetobacter bacteria on each treatment were capable of decomposing the cornhusk waste with decrease in the substrateweight about 19,3-21,63%, with 2.452-2,965% protein contents, 1.254-1.864% fat contents, and 3.176-4.543% carbohydrate contents. The combination of Cellvibrio and Acetobacter bacteria were faster than the other combinations in decomposing the corn husk waste measured by substrate decomposition rate valuewhich was 3.090% in 7 days.

Abstract

The spot disease on leaves is a common disease that attacks the oil palm seedlings that is caused by several types of fungi. One of the alternatives to control this plant disease can be done with a biological control using biological agents such as the antagonistic fungus, i.e. Trichoderma sp. The research was conducted from January 2015 to April 2015 inLaboratory of Microbiology,Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University. The research aimed to find out the ability of Trichoderma sp. to control the fungi isolated from the leaves with spot disease symptoms on the oil palm seedlings. The isolation of the fungi of the leaves with spot disease symptoms was done through the direct isolation technique (direct planting) then the isolation of Trichoderma sp. T4 was conducted using the dilution method. The research obtained three types of fungi i.e.Curvularia sp. T1, Rhizoctonia sp. T2, and Fusarium sp. T3. The conclusion drawn from this research was that the Trichoderma sp. T4fungus was capable of slowing down the growth of the fungi isolated from the leaves with spot disease symptoms on the oil palm seedlings i.e.Curvularia sp. T1, Rhizoctonia sp. T2, and Fusarium sp. T3 by 34.01%, 30.42% and 41.69%, respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan struktur anatomi batang ulin varietas tando dan tembaga yang terdapat di Kalimantan Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persamaan anatomi batang ulin varietas tando dan tembaga adalah mempunyai sel minyak pada batang, susunan pembuluh bertipe kolateral, penyebaran pori adalah pancar dengan tipe soliter, berganda radial dan penyebaran parenkim apotrakea (sebar) dan paratrakea (aliform dan konfluen).  Perbedaan secara anatomi antara batang varietas tando dan tembaga adalah varietas tando memiliki pori berganda radial 2-5 sel dan tipe berkelompok, penyebaran parenkim apotrakea bertipe pita; varietas tembaga memiliki pori berganda radial 2-3 sel; jari-jari empulur varietas tando bertipe heteroseluler, varietas tembaga bertipe homoseluler. Rerata panjang serat, diameter lumen dan ketebalan dinding serat varietas tando berturut-turut adalah 1647,40 µm, 11,90 µm dan 11,70 µm, sedangkan rerata panjang serat, diameter lumen dan ketebalan dinding serat varietas tembaga berturut-turut adalah  1598,20 µm, 15,20 µm dan 11,20 µm.

Abstract

Ketepeng cina (Cassia alata Linn.) was known as vegetal fungicides because it contains toxic materials to fungi. This study aimed to determined the concentration of ketepeng cina (Cassia alata Linn.) leaves extract that effective in inhibiting the growth of Cercospora personatum and to know the fungicide activity of ketepeng cina (Cassia alata Linn.) leaves extract on the growth of Cercospora personatum. This research was conducted through stage that were manufactured PDA media, isolation of Cercospora sp. and extracting ketepeng cina leaves. Fungicidal activity test was done using poisoning food method with 6 concentration level: 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5%. Experiment using Completely Randomized Design with 6 treatments and 3 replications, effect of variance between treatment were analyzed and followed by Duncan's test. The results showed that the concentration of 3% effective in inhibiting the growth of Cercospora personatum. Fungicidal activity of leaves extract ketepeng cina against fungi Cercospora personatum categorized as strong in concentrations ≥ 3% and nature fungistatic.

Abstract

Pada hakikatnya tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab dan dampak kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa selama proses pembelajaran daring. Adapun metode penelitian yang dipilih berupa deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan sumber data penelitian merupakan tiga siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Islamiyah Pontianak yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Metode yang dipilih berupa studi kasus intrinsik dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang terdiri dari tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat dua faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi kurangnya motivasi siswa, rasa bosan, dan kurangnya persiapan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran daring. Faktor eksternal berupa terbatasnya kuota internet yang dimiliki. Dampak dari kesulitan belajar antara lain tidak dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan, terlambat mengumpulkan tugas bahkan tidak tugas. Dengan demikian, motivasi siswa menjadi aspek terpenting bagi keberhasilan proses pembelajaran daring. Kurangnya motivasi menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar yang berdampak negatif bagi siswa.__________________________________________________________________ In essence, the purpose of this research is to find out the causes and impacts of difficulties experience by students durng the online learning process. The research methode was was chosen is desriptive with a qualitative approach. Informan of research data sources were are three students of class X Madrasah Aliyah Islamiyah Pontianak which were determined through purposive sampling technique. The method used is an intrinsic case study, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model consisting of stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there are two factors that cause learning difficulties, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include lack of student motivation, boredom, and lack of student preparation in participating in online learning. External factors in the form of limited internet quota owned. The impact of learning difficulties include not being able to achieve the expected learning objectives, being late in submitting assignments and not even completing assignments. Thus, student motivation becomes the most important aspect for the success of the online learning process. Lack of motivation causes students to experience difficulties in learning which has a negative impact on students.

Abstract

Sengkubang Village is a mangrove area located in Mempawah Hilir District, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan. Sengkubang Village already has a Coastal Community Group that cares about the preservation of mangroves. However, community empowerment still needs to cover women's communities. Most women in Sengkubang Village work as housewives or help their husbands with the gardens. The implementation of community service focuses on empowering the women of Sengkubang Village by providing skills based on natural wealth and plantation products around their residences. Through this skills training, it is hoped that women will be able to fill their spare time by producing banana flour and brownies made from banana flour which are of the sale value. The method of implementing PKM is through short skills training, and participants can bring home their work. The evaluation of PKM activities was carried out using the questionnaire method at the end of the training. The training results showed the enthusiasm of the women's group from the Pelesir community in making banana flour and brownies made from banana flour. 100% of participants strongly agreed that the theme and training could develop their potential to increase their income and daily activities. Subsequent developments will include product marketing assistance through social media and e-commerce.

Abstract

Masyarakat di Desa Sungai Kakap umumnya merupakan ibu rumah tangga dan petani. Tanaman hasil pertanian dan budidaya tidak lepas dari berbagai penyakit tanaman. Pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit tanaman dapat diatasi dengan metabolit sekunder dari mikroba. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada ibu rumah tangga di Desa Sungai Kakap tentang pembuatan metabolit sekunder dan penerapannya bagi tanaman. Metode yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini meliputi penyampaian teori dengan metode ceramah dan edukasi serta penerapannya. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan para peserta dapat mempraktekkan langsung cara membuat cairan metabolit sekunder jamur Trichoderma dan bakteri Bacillus sp. secara konvensional dan cara penerapannya ke tanaman, sehingga dapat membantu ibu petani di Desa Sungai Kakap dalam meningkatkan kualitas tanaman mereka. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh dari pelatihan ini bagi ibu-ibu di Desa Sungai Kakap dapat menjadi alternatif ramah lingkungan dalam mengendalikan dan mencegah penyakit tanaman serta membantu meningkatkan kualitas tanaman yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Jamur tiram merupakan produk pertanian yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan, sebab peluang pasarnya sangat menjanjikan. Pengetahuan tentang budidaya jamur tiram perlu dipelajari, terutama bagi siswa sekolah kejuruan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa SMK Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya dalam budidaya jamur tiram. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan (penyampaian teori dan praktik) dan evaluasi (pengisian kuesioner). Berdasarkan evaluasi dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai budidaya jamur tiram bagi peserta pelatihan menjadi meningkat. Peserta belum mengetahui tentang budidaya jamur tiram (66,67%), telah mengetahui namun belum pernah praktik (20%) dan telah mengetahui dan praktik (13,33%) sebelum mengikuti pelatihan, sementara peserta menjadi mengetahui (40%) dan sangat mengetahui (60%) setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Tanggapan peserta mengenai pelatihan budidaya jamur yaitu bermanfaat 26,67%), sangat bermanfaat (73,33%), dan menginspirasi (100%). Peserta berharap dapat mempraktikan budidaya jamur tiram di sekolah setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini.

Abstract

Orchids are planting whose existence in nature is decreasing. Cultivation to preserve orchids needs to be done. However, orchid cultivation requires special knowledge and skills in order for the plants to thrive. This training was conducted to increase knowledge and skills about orchid cultivation for students of SMK Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya. The method of implementing this activity includes preparation (Activity plan), implementation (Delivery of material and practice of orchid cultivation) and evaluation (Filling out questionnaires). This activity was carried out at Talita Garden Rasau Jaya III Rasau Jaya Kubu Raya which was attended by 16 participants. The material and practice of orchid cultivation were delivered directly by the resource person. Based on the evaluation through the questionnaire sheet, this training was able to increase the knowledge and skills of participants about orchid cultivation from 81.25% not knowing to 40.00% knowing and 60.00% very knowing. This training was very useful (68.75%) and inspiring (100%). Based on the knowledge and skills of orchid cultivation that have been obtained, participants hope to practice at school and at home.
