Abstract

This article copes with basic human rights from Qur’anic perspective. This study shows that basic human rights in Qur’an is termed huquq insaniyah. The principles of basic human rights can be explored by three terms, al-istiqrār, the right to live on earth until death; al-istimtā‘, the right to explore resources; and al-karāmah. The last term refers to individual dignity yet with social implication, since individual dignity will be realized only in its relationship with others who recognize the dignity. So, this notion results in the right of equality. This term also necessitates the right of freedom where nobody is entitled to humiliate others.

Abstract

An agricultural development approach that is centralized, top down, and applied linear communication (transfer of technology) puts farmers as a tool to achieve national’s goals (rice self-sufficiency) and makes them dependant to the outsiders. This study aims to analyze the level of participatory communication implementation in the implementation of Small Farmers Empowerment Program. The data are collected using some methods: observation, interview and focus group discussion. The data are analyzed using descriptive statistic. The study result shows that the implementation of participatory communication is in a low category. The recommendations of this study are to enhance the ability of small farmers through increasing the intensity of dialogue between the small farmers and the stakeholders (insiders and outsiders). Abstract

AbstrakPetani lahan kering belum berperan mendukung ketahanan pangan. Sebagian besar petani adalah petani kecil dengan kapasitas yang rendah untuk menghasilkan pangan. Penelitian bertujuan merumuskan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas petani kecil untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan beberapa instrumen: kuesioner, wawancara dan fokus group diskusi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan Structural Equation Model (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik dan kapasitas petani kecil berada pada kategori rendah, berpengaruh terhadap tingkat ketahanan pangan yang rendah. Rekomendasi kebijakan  meningkatkan kapasitas petani kecil untuk menciptakan ketahanan pangan melalui: menyelenggarakan pelatihan dan penyuluhan secara partisipatif, meningkatkan kualitas peran pendamping da peneliti dalam proses pemberdayaan, meningkatkan akses petani terhadap input, fasilitas modal, dan pasar, memberikan insentif agar petani mau berusaha sampingan serta meningkatkan koordinasi antara institusi pemerintah dan stakeholder. AbstractLand dry farmers have not enrole in supporting food security. Most of the farmer are the peasants with low capacity to produce food. The purpose of the research is to formulate policy recommendation to increase capacity of the peasants for support food security. The data were collected using following techniques: questionnaire, interview and focus group discussion. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modelling (SEM). The research results showed that the peasant characteristics and the peasants capacity are within low category, influencing the level of food security. The Government are expected actively to increase the peasants capacity by optimizing efforts: providing extension and training in participatory ways; increasing role of facilitator and researcher in empowerment process, increasing the peasants’ access to production input, credit facilities and wider markets, give incentive to the peasants so that they can do double working, as well as increasing coordination between government institutions and stakeholder.

Abstract

Research about alkaloid compound of johar plant leaf (Cassia siamea Lmk.) which potential as insecticide at mosquito. The methods are used is laboratory experiment from johar plant leaf extract. Alkaloid has product from separated extract of johar plant leaf. Maximum wave has product by UV-Vis spectrophotometer is 306 nm. TLC product of johar plant leaf extracts are 2 components (Rf 0.89 and 0.91). TLC product of johar plant leaf alkaloid is 1 component (Rf 0.91). The product of HPLC showed 4 components for johar plant leaf and 2 components for alkaloid. The insecticide force of 25 mosquitos did by third for extract and alkaloid. The products are johar leaf extract have insecticide force for each treatment are 14, 10 and 14 mosquitos although alkaloids are 13, 8 and 2 mosquitos.

Abstract

Red chillies (Capsicum annuum L) are considerable horticultural crops widely grown in Indonesia, which has a high value and demand in market. Besides it contains higher vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and beta-carotene than other fruits such as papaya, mango, pineapple and watermelon, red chillies has a very low storability as it is susceptible to decay and the over-production of chili resulting in postharvest decay. To prevent the decay, red chillies are preserved using preservatives. Preservative used in this study is sodium benzoate since it is claimed as an effective against fungi. This study aimed to determine the effect of the concentration of sodium benzoate against storage time of red chillies (Capsicum annuum L) and also to determine the effect of the concentration of sodium benzoate levels towards vitamin C in preserved red chili. The method used in this experiment was a laboratory experiment using a visible spectrophotometry. The results showed that the use of sodium benzoate as a preservative can extend the storability of red chillies and sodium benzoate concentration also affect levels of vitamin C contained in red chillies. The level obtains at the highest concentration of 1.5% which is 54 mg/100 g with 8 days of storability.

Abstract

Rotan termasuk salah satu tumbuhan hutan yang sangat penting karena dapat menghasilkan devisa negara, merupakan sumber mata pencaharian penduduk dan pengusahaannya menyerap tenaga kerja banyak. Salah satu penghasil rotan di Sulawesi Tengah adalah Desa Taripa Kecamatan Sindue Kabupaten Donggala. Masyarakat Desa Taripa  memanfaatkan rotan sebagai mata pencaharian sampingan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem pemungutan rotan alam di Desa Taripa Kecamatan Sindue Kabupaten Donggala. Metode pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan cara pengamatan lapangan/observasi, wawancara, studi literatur dan analisis data secara deskriptif  kualitatif, analisis data yang digunakan adalah  1) Data Reduction (Reduksi data), 2) Data Display (Penyajian data) 3) Collection Drawing atau verification (simpualn atau verifikasi) Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan selama (3) tiga bulan, dari bulan April sampai dengan bulan Juni 2018. Adapun tempat Penelitian dilaksanakan diwilayah KPHP Dolago Tanggunung Desa Taripa Kecamatan Sindue Kabupaten Donggala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, Proses pemungutan rotan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Taripa Kecamatan Sindue Kabupaten Donggala yaitu perencanaan pemungutan (waktu pemungutan, persiapan peralatan, persiapan perbekalan), proses pemungutan (pembersihan lokasi pemungutan, membersihkan bagian pangkal batang rotan, menebang atau memotong pangkal batang rotan, menarik batang rotan, pembersihan pelepah duri rotan, pelurusan, pengikatan, pengangkutan, perendaman di TPn, dan pemasaran).

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coconut pulp and carrot flour formulations on the organoleptic properties and proximate values of cookies. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with coconut pulp flour formulation, carrot flour and wheat flour ie. M0 (100% of flour wheat flour), M1 (40% ofcoconut pulp flour: 20% of carrot flour: 40% of wheat flour), M2 (35% of coconut pulp flour: 25% of carrot flour: 40% of wheat flour), M3 (30% of coconut pulp flour: 30% of carrot flour: 40% of wheat flour) and M4 (25% of coconut pulp flour: 35% of carrot flour: 40% of wheat flour). The results showed that the selected product based on organoleptic was the M3 formula. The nutritional value of the M3 cookies product consisting of water, protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber contents were 3.50%, 5.52 %, 9,147%, 19,72%, 71,170% and 21,40%. Coconut pulp and carrot flour cookies had nutritional value according to standards and based on organoleptic assessment can be accepted (preferred) by panelists. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh formulasi tepung ampas kelapa dan tepung wortel terhadap sifat organoleptik dan nilai proksimat cookies. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan formulasi tepung ampas kelapa, tepung wortel dan tepung terigu yaitu M0 (100% tepung terigu), M1 (tepung ampas kelapa 40% : tepung wortel 20% : tepung terigu 40%), M2 (tepung ampas kelapa 35% : tepung wortel 25% : tepung terigu 40%), M3 (tepung ampas kelapa 30% : tepung wortel 30% : tepung terigu 40%) dan M4 (tepung ampas kelapa 25% : tepung wortel 35% : tepung terigu 40. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk terpilih berdasarkan organoleptik adalah formula M3. Nilai gizi dari produk cookies M3 yang terdiri dari kadar air kadar abu protein kadar lemak kadar karbohidrat dan kadar serat berturut-turut sebesar 3,50%, 5,52%, 9,147%, 19,72%, 71,170% dan 21,40%. Cookies tepung ampas kelapa dan wortel memiliki nilai gizi sesuai standar dan berdasarkan penilaian organoleptik dapat diterima (disukai) oleh panelis. Abstract

Kehamilan merupakan suatu proses dari kehidupan seorang wanita, dengan adanya proses kehamilan yang terjadi pada diri seorang wanita akan menyebabkan beberapa perubahan. Ada tiga faktor yang mempengaruhi kehamilan yaitu faktor fisik, faktor psikologis dan faktor sosial, budaya dan ekonomi. Kondisi kehamilan yang berisiko juga dapat mengakibatkan terganggunya kondisi psikologis. Hal yang cukup berbahaya ialah ibu hamil berisiko rentan mengalami depresi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor sosiodemografi dengan potensi kejadian depresi maternal pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Pampang Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study dan dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Pampang Kota Makassar pada tanggal 13 Desember 2018 sampai 17 Januari 2019. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pampang sejumlah 596 Ibu hamil selama periode 2018. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah kluster random dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 221 ibu. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa hubungan antara usia ibu (p=0,699), pendidikan ibu (p=0,569), pekerjaan ibu (p=1,000), dan pendapatan keluarga (p=1,000) dengan potensi kejadian depresi maternal pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Pampang Kota Makassar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak ada hubungan antara usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan pendapatan keluarga dengan potensi kejadian depresi maternal pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Pampang Kota Makassar.
