Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat eksperimen yang efektif untuk praktikum elektronika dasar pada topik transistor bipolar. Tempat penelitian ini di Laboratorium Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP Universitas Riau. Subjek ujicoba sebanyak 14 orang mahasiswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan cara menghitung indeks dari setiap indikator kelayakan alateksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh gambaran bahwa validator mengapresiasi alat eksperimen dengan baik, yang ditandai dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 3,33, yang berarti validitas isi dari alat eksperimen ini dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Indeks rata-rata praktikalitas sebesar 3,36 artinya praktalitas alat dan penuntun eksperimen dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, alat dan penuntun eksperimen Elektronika Dasar yang dikembangkanuntukpercobaan aplikasi transistor dalam penelitian ini memiliki validitas dan praktikalitas yang sangat tinggi, sehinggaalat dan penuntun eksperimen aplikasi transistor sebagai penguat arus dan penguat tegangan AC,dinyatakan efektif digunakan dalam percobaan aplikasi transistor bipolar. Abstract

 COVID-19 attacked Wuhan city in December 2019 where the number of cases increased rapidly, but the clinical information of infected patients was limited. One of the negative effects related is the education sector. COVID-19 also changed the learning model drastically, all learning activities were carried out online. This causes students difficulties in learning. The purpose of the research was to analyze the difficulty factors of physics education students in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Research subjects were 80 students from Physics education at FKIP Riau University. The results of research online learning difficulties come from two factors, namely external and internal factors. External factors include non-current internet networks and very many student assignments. Internal factors related to students' learning difficulties, students generally have difficulty communicating and discussing both fellow students and with lecturers, misconceptions occur, difficulties in summarizing the material, and eye discomfort due to cellphone and laptop radiation.

Abstract

 Experimental activities are closely related to measurement activities that require measuring instruments. Skills using measuring instruments affect learning outcomes of the experimental activities carried out. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the implementation of the training on the use of electrical measuring instruments on the performance evaluation of physics education students in the basic physics experiments 2 course. This type of research is survey research. The research population was all students of the Physics Education Study Program Universiti of Riau semester 2, who took the Basic Physics Experiment 2 course in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The number of classes was 6 classes and each year a random sample class was taken, so the research sample amounted 3 classes. For 2017 students taking part in the Basic Physics Experiment 2 course, were only given instructions on the use of measuring instruments when conducting experiments, where as in 2018 and 2019, students taking basic physics experiments 2 were provided with special training before conducting experiments. The data collection instrument used was from the results of a three-year student performance assessment sheet on the topic of multiloop and alternating current experiments. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that students who were equipped with training in the use of electric measuring instrument before the lecture begins of Basic Physics Experiment 2, gave better performance assessment results compared to students who were not equipped with training in using electric measuring instrument. Therefore, training in the use of measuring instruments before conducting an experiment is very important given the basic physics experiment 2 on the topic of multiloops and alternating current.

Abstract

This research aim was to test the validity of the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation for middle schools. This research uses research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. The analysis in the analysis phase includes material analysis and regional potential analysis. The material analysis results show that several materials can be integrated with natural disaster materials, namely particle dynamics, heat and displacement, and static and dynamic fluids. At the design stage, two stages were carried out: the physics module's design and the validation instrument's preparation. At the development phase, validation of the physics module is carried out. Improvement or revision of the module product based on the validation sheet and suggestions from the experts involved. The research data is quantitative data based on the data from the validity of the physics module. The study used a validation assessment sheet instrument. The validity data analysis technique uses a Likert scale. The results of the validation of the physics module for aspects of content, construct, linguistics, and graphics obtained an average value of 89.8% which is categorized as valid. Therefore, the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation that has been designed is declared suitable for use in physics learning according to the material and level of middle school education and can be tested for practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

The implementation of remote basic physics experiments during a pandemic has its own challenges. This experiment had problems in terms of planning, implementation, and reporting. The purpose of this study are to describe the implementation of synchronous distance learning of fundamental physics experiments using simple tools and to find out students' perceptions regarding the obstacles in the synchronous distance learning implementation of experiments. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed using Google Form. The respondents in this study were 69 students who took the fundamental physics experiment course in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Analysis of research data was carried out using descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicated that the application of Google Meetassisted experiments using simple tools and materials that were easily obtained by students could reduce the problem of completing tools and materials by students and the use of Google Meet allowed the mentoring process during the experiment by the lecturer. The most common obstacles encountered by students were obstacles in the implementation phase where sometimes the internet network did not support it while students needed to listen to the direction of the supporting lecturer, especially if the instructions in the manual were not well understood.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to develop a sea water purifier and test the validity of a sea water purifier so that it can be used as a medium for high school physics learning on global warming material. The development model carried out is the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data obtained in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is used to obtain the value of preliminary analysis and validation of tools used in learning. Quantitative data is used to obtain empirical test values by comparing the results of measuring tools made with standard measuring instruments. Based on the results of the empirical test, it was found that the fresh water produced by the developed seawater purifier has good quality because it meets water standards that are suitable for consumption. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the average fresh water produced was 50.33 mL from 1 liter of seawater which was dried for 6 hours per day, and the decrease in salt content of seawater after using this seawater purifier that utilized solar power was 100%. . Based on the results of expert validation which refers to the functionality of the tool, learning elements, ease of use, aesthetics and construction of the tool, the average value of the validity index is 3.78 with a very high category. So it can be concluded that the developed seawater purifier is valid and can be used as a medium for learning Physics on global warming material.Keywords: sea water purifier, learning media, global warming.ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan alat pemurni air laut dan menguji validitas alat pemurni air laut agar dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Fisika SMA pada materi pemanasan global. Model pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah model ADDIE. Model ADDIE terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan nilai analisis pendahuluan dan validasi alat yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Data kuantitatif digunakan untuk memperoleh nilai uji empiris dengan membandingkan hasil ukur alat yang dibuat dengan alat ukur yang sudah standard. Berdasarkan hasil uji empiris diperoleh bahwa bahwa air tawar yang dihasilkan oleh alat pemurni air laut yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang baik karena memenuhi standar air yang layak dikonsumsi. Berdasarkan  penelitian yang dilakukan, diperoleh rata-rata air tawar yang dihasilkan 50,33 mL dari 1 liter air laut yang dijemur selama 6 jam per harinya, dan   penurunan kadar garam air laut  setelah menggunakan alat pemurni air laut yang memanfaatkan tenaga surya ini sebesar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi pakar  yang mengacu pada keberfungsian alat, unsur pembelajaran, kemudahan penggunaan, estetika dan konstruksi alat diperoleh nilai rata-rata indeks validitas  3,78 dengan kategori sangat tinggi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat pemurni air laut yang dikembangkan bernilai valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Fisika pada materi pemanasan global.Kata kunci: alat pemurni air laut, media pembelajaran, pemanasan global.

Abstract

Siswa SMP mengalami kesulitan belajar dalam mata pelajaran IPA karena minat, motivasi, kebiasaan belajar, intelegensi dan kosentrasi yang rendah. Selain itu, mata pelajaran IPA juga dinilai abstrak salah satunya pada materi listrik. Tujuan dari penelitian yang dijelaskan pada artikel ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang valid berupa game “An Intel’s Science Missions” berbasis Borland Delphi 7 pada materi listrik statis untuk siswa kelas IX SMP. Pengembangan media pembelajaran ini dilakukan sebagai solusi dari kesulitan belajar IPA akibat pelajaran IPA yang abstrak serta kurangnya minat dan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu tahap analisis (Analyse), tahap perancangan (Design), tahap pengembangan (Development), tahap implementasi (Implementation), dan tahap evaluasi (Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data berbentuk lembar validasi yang diberikan kepada tiga validator. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan cara menghitung skor penilaian validasi dengan menggunakan indeks validitas formula Aiken’s V. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran game “An Intel’s Science Missions” berbasis Borland Delphi 7 pada materi listrik statis untuk siswa kelas IX SMP yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dari aspek yang divalidasi meliputi aspek kelayakan desain, aspek kelayakan pedagogi, aspek kelayakan konten, dan aspek kelayakan teknikal dengan indeks validitas Aiken’s V sebesar 0.88.

Abstract

Rupat Island located at a coastal area of Riau Province, generally coastal areas are identical with the availability of clean water. The low availability of clean water has a negative impact on all sectors. The water used by students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Rupat comes from a ring well which tastes salty and brackish. Problems in the health sector are the availability of clean water that is suitable for consumption, education is insufficient equipment for Physics Experiments, in the economic field, family spending increases due to the availability of bottled water, and the field of community empowerment has not maximized the use of natural resources. The solution for this aspect is technological innovation that is able to meet the need for clean water in the long term by utilizing existing potential, one of which is the manufacture of a sea water purifier, a giant measuring 4x4 meter. The tool's fundamental working principle is to evaporate the air first and then collect the condensed water to separate the mineral salts and contaminants from the seawater. The author has made a seawater purifier measuring 48x38 cm as a medium for high school physics learning in 2021 with a TKT 5.

Abstract

Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengajarkan konsep baru yang sebagian besar belum dikenal siswa. Siswa menjadi jarang dilatih menghubungkan pengetahuan dalam membangun sebuah konsep. Kendala guru dan kegagalan siswa tersebut menyebabkan pemahaman konsep siswa menjadi rendah. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dapat diterapkan pembelajaran yang inovatif yakni penerapan simulasi phet dengan  model problem solving. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Kateman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan simulasi PhET dengan model problem solving terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimen Nonequivalent control group design dengan  model Posttest only control group design. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes pemahaman konsep yang terdiri dari 33 soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil dan simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya serap siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pemahaman konsep siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan simulasi PhET dengan model problem solving dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the conceptual understanding of seventh grade junior high school students. Experimental research with a quasi-experimental design "Nonequivalent control group design" and the research model "Posttest only control group design" is the methodology that will be used. The data collection tool was in the form of a test on the results of understanding the class VII concept of the Solar System material which consisted of 21 multiple choice questions. Descriptive analysis will be carried out with students' conceptual knowledge, and inferential analysis will be carried out with the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 22. After the analysis is carried out, it is known that the average understanding of the concept of the experimental group is 61.10 which is included in the high category, while the mean -the average control group's understanding of the concept of 53.33 is in the sufficient category. The difference in average understanding of concepts between the experimental group and the control group using the wordwall-assisted TGT cooperative learning model is statistically significant. Conclusion from the research: Compared to conventional learning, using the TGT cooperative learning methodology is effective in increasing students' conceptual understanding of the Solar System material.Keywords: Teams Games Tournament, Concept Understanding, Wordwall, Solar System
