Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to describe the social skills in class VII SMP 29 Pekanbaru through the implementation of Whole Brain Teaching strategy. The expected benefits of this research for the basis of further determine the success of students using many different learning approaches. This study was conducted in SMP 29 Pekanbaru in November 2015. The subjects were students VII6 totaling 42 students. The form of this research are used pre-experimental design form the One Shot Case Study. Data collection tools in this study was the social skills observation sheet. The results were obtained based on the indicators of social skills, they are; to encourage participation; taking turns and sharing of tasks; active listening, students have the social skills that are still categorized each meeting with the average percentage of each indicator to increase as high. It is possible with a whole brain teaching strategies can practice social skills class VII SMP 29 Pekanbaru on substances that change the subject and closed it.Key Words: Social Skills Student, Whole Brain Teaching, Descriptive Analysis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat eksperimen yang efektif untuk praktikum elektronika dasar pada topik transistor bipolar. Tempat penelitian ini di Laboratorium Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP Universitas Riau. Subjek ujicoba sebanyak 14 orang mahasiswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan cara menghitung indeks dari setiap indikator kelayakan alateksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh gambaran bahwa validator mengapresiasi alat eksperimen dengan baik, yang ditandai dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 3,33, yang berarti validitas isi dari alat eksperimen ini dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Indeks rata-rata praktikalitas sebesar 3,36 artinya praktalitas alat dan penuntun eksperimen dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, alat dan penuntun eksperimen Elektronika Dasar yang dikembangkanuntukpercobaan aplikasi transistor dalam penelitian ini memiliki validitas dan praktikalitas yang sangat tinggi, sehinggaalat dan penuntun eksperimen aplikasi transistor sebagai penguat arus dan penguat tegangan AC,dinyatakan efektif digunakan dalam percobaan aplikasi transistor bipolar. Kata Kunci : alat eksperimen, transistor bipolar, penguat, validitas dan praktikalitas

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to describe the problem solving skill of student in class X-2 MA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Campus 2 with the implementation of Strategy Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in lesson impulse and momentum. The research used pre-experimental with one-shot case study design. The subjects were students of class X-2 totalling 29 students, consisting of 10 male students and 19 female students. The instrument of data collection in this study is the problem solving ability test consists of 4 essay questions. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis to see an overview of the problem solving skill of student by using the criteria of the level of problem solving skills . The research showed the problem solving skill of student in class X-2 MA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru with the implementation of Strategy Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in lesson impulse and momentum are at a low level. For every step of Problem Solving Skill of student showed that students at the step of understand the problem are at a very high level. For the step of devising a plan and carry out a plan are at a high level and then at looking back at the completed solution are at a very low level. Therefore in teaching physics, by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving could train problem solving skill of student but not effective.Key word : Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving, Problem Solving Skill

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of cognitive learning outcomes of Physics IPA through the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type. This research is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of the study were the students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The data collection instrument was a test of cognitive learning outcomes given to the sample as pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the average ability of students with the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type is higher conventional learning. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type can improve students’ learning outcomes of Physics IPA in Force in SMP Negeri 7 Tambang Kampar.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Probing Prompting Type, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to know the result study of students’ physics cognitive by applying Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI) learning model. This research was conducted in SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. It was a pre-eksperimental research with intact group comparison design. The subject of this research was student of X MIA 5 as experimental class and student of X MIA 3 as control class. The data collection conducted by using a test from the result study of students’ cognitive after applying Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI) learning model in the experimental class and conventional learning in control class. The technique of analysis technique was used to know the description of the students’ learning outcomes including the students’ absorption and the effectiveness of the learning. The result of this research showed the average of students’ absorption by applying the Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI) learning model was 82.48% and the average of students’ absorption by applying conventional learning was 74.10%. it concluded that applying Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI) could improve the result of students’ cognitive on impulse and momentum material at the X Grade of SMAN 3 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI), Result Study Of Students’ Cognitive,Impulse and momentum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of student solving abilities through the use of project-based learning.This study has used quasi experiments with the design of nonequivalent control group design.Instruments of the study using a student-solving ability test consisting of pretest and posttest, were analyzed using a quantitative approach. Inferential analysis using independent-sample t-test has shown that there is a significant difference in students ability to solve between the treatment class and the control class. It can thus be concluded that the use of project-based learning can improve student solving abilities on static fluid topics.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the student’s difficulties in solving the problems based on the stages of solving problems skills at XI science 4 class of Senior High School 9 at Pekanbaru. This research was caused by the study results of TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) that showing Indonesia's students are at a very low ranking in the ability of the theory, analysis and problem solving. The respondents in this research were 35 students of XI science 4 class of Senior High School 9 at Pekanbaru. The techniques used to collect data consisted of diagnostic test. The instrument in this research are the diagnostic tests and sheets appraisement students based on stages of problem solving skills. Stages of problem solving skills are (1) understanding the problem, (2) devising the plan, (3) Carryng out the plan and (4) looking back. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis by calculate the percentage of students who are having difficulties in solving problems of physics based on ideal boundary pass and sheets appraisement students. Based on the diagnostic test got understanding the problem (32,6 %) included in a category almost half have difficulty, devising the plan (30,03%) included in a category almost half have difficulty, carryng out the plan (26,87%) included in a category almost half have difficulty and looking back (84,28%) included in a category in general have difficulty.Key Words: Problem Solving Skills, Diagnostic Test, Physic Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed determine the increase of student’s self-regulated in physics learning through applying the TANDUR strategies on subject elasticity and hooke’s law. The method used in this research was quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. This study was taken place in SMAN 1 Gaung Indragiri Hilir with the sample of research consisted of 61 XI IPA grade students in the school year of 2016/2017 who devided become two classes, exsperiment and control class. The instrument data collection in this study is questionnaire of self-regulated which consists of 24 statements. Analysis of the data in this study is descriptive analysis to categorize the average score of student’s self-regulated and analysis of the increase (gain) based on the result of pretest and postest. Based on data analysis, the result of this study obtained an average score of student’s self-regulatedin the experiment class and control class are in high category. For pretest’s score in experiment class, the average Score of 2,36 and control class is 2.37. For score of postest in experiment class, the average Score of 2,95 and control class is 2,60. As for the increase (gain) the average score of student’s self-regulated in the experiment class in medium category with a value of 0,36 and control class in low category with a value of 0,14. This result show the use of TANDUR strategies in physics learning on the elasticity and hooke’s law subject can increase student’s self-regulated.Key Words: Self-Regulated, TANDUR Strategies, Elasticity And Hooke’s Law.

The low learning outcomes of science students of grade VIII SMP NEGERI 5 Kuantan Mudik is caused by students less active and feel not interested in learning, students feel bored in teaching and learning process, and lack of motivation obtained by students in learning. So that will have an impact on student learning outcomes. Type MURDER cooperative learning has a dominant perspective in contemporary education that focuses on how students acquire, store and process what they learn and how they occu. The subjects of this research are students of class VIII with the number of students 19 people. This research is a pre-experiment One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used is a questionnaire of learning motivation ARCS, where students are given a questionnaire of early learning motivation (pretest) in advance to see the level of initial motivation of students, after that given treatment or treatment by applying the learning model MURDER. Then the researcher gave a questionnaire of final learning motivation (posttest). Next, the data were analyzed descriptively to see the improvement of learning motivation. This research aims to improve the learning motivation of Physics Science. Pretest student's motivation score of 3.49 and student's final learning motivation score (posttest) got result of 3,98. Experienced an increase of 0.49 points. So it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type MURDER can improve students' learning motivation on the material force in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kuantan Mudik.Keywords: Model of Cooperative Learning Type MURDER, Student LearningMotivation Materi Force.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe and differentiate the cognitive learning result student between the implementation of cooperative learning type MURDER group with conventional learning group in the Newton’s law and its application. This type of research is a quasi-experimental, with a intact group comparison design. Population in this research is all of X classes with 90 students. Meanwhile the samples are 28 students in X1 as control class and 30 students in X2 as experiment class. The instrument of data in this research is a score cognitive performance test which consists of 15 multiple choice items. Analysis of the data in this study was a descriptive analysis that was used to determine the performance of the physics cognitive learning through the criteria of absorption and effectiveness of learning. The inferential analysis was used to differentiate a cognitive learning considerably using independent samples t-test. The analysis data shows: the average absorption of the experiment class  is 75.10% of the higher in category, and declared effective learning efficiently. Meanwhile the average absorption of the control class  68.54%. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementation of cooperative learning type MURDER can be used as an alternative in the learning process in the classroom X SMA Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru.
