Abstract

This study aims to determine the leading sector of economic and find the competitiveness among economic structures ofMimika Regency. Descriptive methodologyis used to describes something. Data collection using documentation and library method. To know the superior sectors and competitiveness of the leading sectors, the analysis instruments using LQ analysis to find out the leading sectors in the economic stucture of mimika and shift share district to determine the competitiveness of superior sectors. The result of this study indicate that there are 13 leading sectors in the Mimika region, namely agriculture, forestry and fisheries, electricity and gas procurement sector, water supply, waste management waste and recycling, construction, large and retail trade, car and motorcycle repairs, transportation and warehousing, provision of accomodation and feeding, information and communication of financial services and insurance, real estate, corporate services government administration, defense and social security, and other services. And there are four sectors in mimika that have competitiveness, namely agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector, electricity and gas procurement sector, water supply of waste recycling waste management, goverment administration sector, defense and social security.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significance of the partial Human Development Index (HDI) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on poverty levels in Mimika Regency, and to analyze the significance of the effect of HDI and GRDP simultaneously on poverty levels in Mimika Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from BPS Mimika Regency through documentation techniques. To analyze data, multiple linear regression analysis was used. The results showed that: (a) HDI had a negative and significant effect on the level of poverty in Mimika Regency; (b) GRDP has a negative and not significant effect on the level of poverty in Mimika Regency; (c) HDI and GRDP simultaneously have a significant effect on the level of poverty in Mimika Regency.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) analyze the growth classification of economic sectors in the Mimika Regency; (2) analyze the basic sector of the economy in the Mimika Regency; (3) analyzing the share and shifts in the economy sector Mimika Regency.This study uses secondary data obtained from BPS-StatisticsPapua Province, BPS-Statistics Mimika, and Department of Planning and Regional Development Mimika. Data were analyzed using analysis Klassen Typology, Location Quotient, and Shift-Share analysis.The results of this research show that: (1) Sector classified as andeveloped sector in the Mimika Regency is Electricity and Gas sector, sector of Accomodation, Food and Beverages. (2) Sectors is a basic sector in Mimika is the sector of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, sector of Electricity and Gas, sector Water, Waste Management, cesspit and recycling, Construction sector, the sector of Wholesale and Retail trade, Cars and Motorcycles Reparations, sectors Transportation and Warehousing, sector of Accommodation, Food and Beverages, sector Information and Communications, Fnance and insurance sector, Real Estate, Public administration, defense, and compulsory social security, and sector Other Services. (3) The sectors that have competitive advantages (D) in Mimika are sectors of Manufacturing industry, Electricity and Gas sector, sector of Accommodation, food and beverages. (4) By combining the results of the analysis Klassen Typology, Location Quotient, and Shift Share, then the sectors which are the leading sectors in the Mimika Regency is the Electricity and Gas sector, sector of Accommodation, food and beverages

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the significance of the effect of household consumption expenditure and government spending partially on the Mimika Regency Human Development Index, and to test and analyze the significance of the effect of household consumption expenditure and government expenditure simultaneously on the Mimika Regency Human Development Index. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from BPS Mimika Regency and the Regional Finance and Asset Division of Mimika Regency through documentation techniques. To analyze the data, a semi log multiple regression analysis was used. The results showed that: (a) Household Consumption Expenditure, which is proxied from expenditure for food and non-food consumption, has a significant effect on the Mimika Regency Human Development Index; (b) Government spending, which is proxied from spending on education and health, does not have a significant effect on the Mimika Regency Human Development Index; and (c) Household Consumption Expenditures and Government Expenditures simultaneously have a significant effect on the Mimika Regency Human Development Index.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the rate of economic growth and the human development index on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency. The research method used in this research is associative research method. The data collection technique used is the documentation technique. To determine the effect of the level of economic growth and the human development index on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis was used. The results of this study indicate that the level of economic growth has no significant effect on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency, while the human development index has a significant effect on the unemployment rate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of regional financial independence of Mimika Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are documentation, and literature study. The data analysis technique used in this research is the analysis of the ratio of regional independence, effectiveness and financial capability. The results of this study indicate that: The average value of the financial independence ratio is categorized as less independent, the level of effectiveness is quite effective and financial ability is classified as very good in Mimika Regency in the 2013-2017 fiscal year.
