Abstract

Simulator HPLC telah dikembangkan sebagai  aplikasi pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam memahami sistem dan cara kerja instrumentasi HPLC secara sistematis. Aplikasi ini dapat digunakan di seluruh Windows dengan persyaratan windows yang digunakan sudah terinstalasi Java versi 6 atau di atasnya. Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana efektivitas penggunaan Simulator HPLC dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir analitis mahasiswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini digunakan instrumen tes dan non tes berupa angket kepuasan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan simulator HPLC secara akademis membantu mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa mempelajari HPLC. Sejalan dengan itu, belajar dengan simulator HPLC dapat mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir analitik pada aspek matching dan classifying, namun belum melatih 3 aspek lainnya, yaitu analysis error, generalizing, dan specifying. Direkomendasikan penggunaaan pendekatan pembelajaran seperti STEM yang mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar dengan tahapan inquiry, Engineering Design process, dan Product development untuk mengatasi kurang berkembangnya keterampilan berpikir analitik pada aspek analysis error, specifying, dan generalizing.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, peradaban, dan jumlah penduduk, maka konsumen jamu tradisional mulai berkurang. Masyarakat cenderung untuk memilih obat-obatan kimia yang lebih praktis dari jamu tradisional dan khasiatnya yang berlangsung cepat. Penemuan-penemuan obat baru menghasilkan lebih dari 500 macam obat setiap tahunnya. Namun saat ini, kesadaran masyarakat akan back to nature semakin meningkat, dilihat dari penggunaan obat tradisional/obat herbal, baik di negara yang sedang berkembang maupun negara maju cenderung terus meningkat. Obat herbal Indonesia, yang dikenal sebagai jamu, sejak berabad-abad telah digunakan secara luas oleh bangsa Indonesia untuk memelihara kesehatan dan mengobati penyakit. Pengembangan dan penggunaan obat herbal Indonesia ke depannya, harus didasarkan bukti-bukti ilmiah yang kuat, terutama melalui penelitian dan pengembangan, serta terstandarisasi, sehingga dapat diintegrasikan dalam sistem pelayanan kesehatan nasional.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia interaktif dengan memanfaatkan simulator HPLC untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir analitis mahasiswa yang akan mendukung aktivitas praktikum dry lab menjadi lebih bermakna. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan desain model 4-D, yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup instrumen tes dan non tes berupa angket kepuasan mahasiswa dan observasi hasil pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan MMI berbantuan simulator HPLC secara akademis membantu mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa mempelajari materi HPLC. Sejalan dengan itu, belajar dengan simulator HPLC dapat mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir analitik pada aspek matching dan classifying, analysis error, generalizing, dan specifying.

Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive multimedia by utilizing HPLC simulators to train students' analytical thinking skills, which will support dry lab practicum activities to be more meaningful. The research method is development research with a 4-D model design, defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. However, this research stage is limited to the development stage. The instruments used in this study include test and non-test instruments in student satisfaction questionnaires and observation of learning outcomes. The results showed that MMI assisted by an HPLC simulator helped students increase students' motivation and interest in studying HPLC material. In line with that, learning with the HPLC simulator can develop analytical thinking skills in the matching and classifying aspects, but has not trained in 3 other aspects, namely error analysis, generalizing, and specifying. It is recommended to use a learning approach such as STEM, which accommodates learning needs with the stages of inquiry, Engineering Design Process, and Product development to overcome the lack of development of analytical thinking skills in the aspects of analysis error, specifying, and generalizing.

Abstract

The Long Tomb is located in Drajat Village, Kesambi District. The Drajat village area has several potential for pilgrimage tourism, namely in the form of graves and makom which contributed to the spread of Islam in Cirebon around the 15th century, especially in the spread of Islam in the Drajat village. In this article, we focus on the potential for long tombs to be used as potential for religious tourism. The purpose of this study is to describe religious tourism and the meaning of pilgrimage at the Long Tomb. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, by conducting in-depth interviews with the caretaker as the source of the long tomb. The Long Tomb is the resting place of a figure of Sultan Lelana who is known by the public as Prince Jaka Lelana. Jaka Lelana is the second son of Sunan Gunung Jati. The Long Tomb is sacred because Jaka Lelana is a descendant of the Guardian and is the son of Sunan Gunung Jati. Currently, the potential for long tomb pilgrimages is still very minimal and poorly maintained, so a strategy is needed to disseminate the potential to become one of the pilgrimage tourist destinations in Cirebon City.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic left many casualties. The virus attacks the human immune system, which has an impact on physical health, such as: (a) pneumonia, (b) respiratory failure, and (c) death. Hands are one of the parts of the human body that are susceptible to viruses and are the easiest medium for spreading them. Therefore, as a preventive measure to prevent the spread of the virus, hands must always be clean and sterile, which is done by using a hand sanitizer, so that the cleaning process is more effective and efficient. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide awareness to the community to prevent the spread of the virus through the habit of hand sterilization. The target of the service is the residents of the village of Kepuh with the stages of activity, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparations were carried out by conducting a preliminary survey to see conditions in the field and obtaining permits for routine mosque activities. Implementation is carried out by cleaning, spraying, and washing mukena. Evaluation of activities is carried out for each stage by collecting and concluding data from each stage of activity. The results of the activity are the washing of mukena, and the cleanliness of the mosque, as well as disinfecting the entire inside and outside of the mosque. The organizers of the activity are lecturers and students and are assisted by the mosque's cleaning staff.

Abstract

Wabah Virus COVID-19 hingga saat ini masih belum bisa teratasi dengan baik, termasuk Indonesia, sampai saat kasus Positif Covid-19 terus mengalami peningkatan cukup signifikan perharinya. Salah satu upaya mencegah penularan Covid-19 adalah selalu memakai hand sanitizer. Desa Karangwangi Depok, Kabupaten Cirebon kaya akan tanaman daun sirih yang belum dioptimalkan pemanfaatannya, sehingga tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar ekstrak daun sirih (Piper betle Linn) pada warga Desa Karangwangi. Komponen utama ekstrak daun sirih adalah senyawa fenol yang mempunyai sifat antimikroba dan antijamur kuat dan efektif menghambat pertumbuhan beberapa jenis bakteri. Namun karena daun sirih mudah teroksidasi yang ditandai dengan perubahan warna air ekstraknya sehingga dapat diatasi dengan menambahkan jeruk nipis sebagai anti oksidan. Dari hasil kuesioner yang disebarkan bahwa warga Desa Karangwangi merasakan penggunaan dan sosialisasi handsanitizer dari ekstrak daun sirih sangat bermanfaat. Hasil kuetionernya memuaskan terlihat prosentase nilai diatas 60 %.

Abstract

Communication skills are one of the mandatory skills that students must master for the development of the 21st century. The use of innovative learning models can also help students to understand the concept of material. The purpose of this study was to improve the communication skills of class X SMK students on the material of the atomic structure and the periodic table of elements by using the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. The research subjects used were students of class X Pharmacy in the academic year 2022/2023. Research data used on communication skills through observation sheets and study documentation and for learning outcomes used through description tests for pretest and posttest. The data analysis used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design research type. The results showed that there was an increase in communication skills through observation sheets with an average value of 80.96 in the high category and documentation studies with an average value of 73.21 including the high category. The use of the Discovery Learning model showed that the students' communication skills had increased with an average score of 76.44 on the observation sheet in the high category and the study of documentation with an average value of 70.12 was included in the high category. The conclusion was that the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model was more effective than the application of the Discovery Learning model, so the researchers recommend to use this learning model to help improve students' communication skills

Abstract

Analytical thinking is one of the thinking skills that must be possessed by prospective teacher students, especially in studying HPLC material. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused limited practicum activities, so the MMI HPLC is expected to be a solution for students in learning the concept as a whole and continue to develop analytical thinking skils. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using HPLC Interactive Multimedia, either directly or indirectly, on the analytical thinking skills of prospective teacher students described through path analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach based on variance or Partial Least Square (PLS). This study uses a quantitative approach through a questionnaire which is measured on a Likert scale. Based on the seven latent variables of student perception, the aspect of material meaningfulness when using MMI HPLC (X3) has a very strong influence in increasing student interest, motivation, curiosity, and activeness. Interest, motivation, curiosity, and activeness of students have an effect on building students' analytical thinking skills. On the meaningfulness material variable, it consists of 2 indicators, namely the media used to clarify students' understanding of the learning material and the media used appropriately and in accordance with the learning method. PLS SEM analysis is effectively used to analyze pathways or determine the effect of using HPLC interactive multimedia on students' analytical thinking skills through the provision of student questionnaires
