Abstract

This study applies quantitative research with experimental of nonequivalent control group design. It is aimed to investigate the willingness’ of language study through  collaborative drill of intercultural communication approach in english language study at Universitas Islam Jakarta. The researcher used the collaboratie drill of intercultural communication approach which applied pre-test, treatment and post-test to see the effectiveness of its approach in language learning particularly in English study. The study found that there is significant effect in students’ language learning at Islamic University of Jakarta 73,4% or 0,734. Moreover, in coofficient determination was found that Y variation is  caused by X from the table can be read  in square value (R2) of 0.539. The value of the S(0.555 squared) = 0.539 or 53.9,%. It  means that the variation occurring in English learning process is 53.9% due to the  collaborative drill of intercultural communication  approach and the remaining was 46.1% (100% - 30.8%)it  is used by other variables were not discussed in this study. In  other words the magnitude of effectiveness of  collaborative drill of intercultural communication approach in English learning was 53,9%. In addition, R-test with ro result was 0.734, then the result is bigger than rt significant level 5% that was 0,161 and 1% that was 0,207. Thus it can be seen that ro> rt either at a significant level of 5% or 1%. It can be cconcluded that Ha was accepted and HO was rejected, the meaning it is suspected that there is  significance influence in language study through drill collaborative of intercultural communication approach  for undergraduate student

Abstract

The Distance Learning Process is a solution to the Covid-19 pandemic situation which is considered more effective and efficient, but there are various kinds of problems, not only educators and students, but also parents. The problems faced are the difficulty of supervising students who lack honesty and discipline in doing and collecting assignments, supervising students who do not focus on learning, difficult to adapt which make character development less effective.  The specific purpose of the research is to produce a Project Based Learning  model that can improve students' ability to solve problems,  and it is hoped that students will be more active, independent and responsible. The method used is Action Research to produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of the product through various stages and validation with the following steps: 1) planning, 2) acting, 3) monitoring, and 4) reflecting. The results of the study found that scores were still very lacking in the first and second cycles in fostering a critical attitude to students, but in the third cycle significant improvements were found. This is evidenced in the reflection of most students. Future research requires a model for applying critical thinking in higher education

Abstract

The true character is attached to the student. The learning process taken makes students know what is good and what is not good, but it turns out that this is not enough to minimize bullying behavior that occurs in other students, this often happens even in a conscious state. Often from the act of bullying behavior where the victim takes negative action for the treatment he receives, bullying behavior becomes one of the verbal crimes that have a high risk to the victim. Through social control, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce or even eliminate this behavior among students. By increasing social control, it is hoped that students can show an educated attitude by not engaging in bullying behavior among themselves. This study uses quantitative methods to calculate the correlation needed by research data. The purpose of this research is to understand bullying behavior on the character of students through self-control and social control. The method used is qualitative research. The research was conducted at MA DIY, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data were obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with key informants: school principals, vice principals, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using the steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of parental guidance on students' learning motivation in the context of self-directed education after the COVID-19 pandemic. It investigates whether parental involvement remains consistent and influential as students transition between online and offline learning modes. The study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical correlational method. Data is collected through questionnaires distributed to students. The statistical analysis is performed using SPSS software to determine the correlation between parental guidance and students' learning motivation. The research findings indicate a strong correlation (r = 0.90) between parental guidance and students' learning motivation. This demonstrates that parental involvement significantly influences students' motivation to engage actively in self-directed learning. The study highlights the importance of parents' continuous support in maintaining high levels of learning motivation in students, especially during the shift between online and offline learning modes. The suggestion for other research is about exploring parental involvement strategies in enhancing students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of introducing autonomous learning-based assessments on student independence in the learning process. The SmartPLS approach was used to measure the link between these variables, with a focus on aspects such as exam administration, simple lesson design, and policy flexibility. The analytical results demonstrate that implementing autonomous learning-based evaluations has a favorable influence on student independence. Implementing more extensive tests, easy lesson plans, and policy flexibility in the Merdeka Berdeka curriculum all contribute to student freedom. The implication is that students are more active in directing their own learning, making decisions, and planning improvements. This generates a learning atmosphere that encourages self-reflection, ongoing learning, and the development of self-evaluation abilities, all of which are vital for student growth.
