Abstract

Immunization is an effort to create or actively increase a person's immunity to a disease so that if one day they are exposed to the disease they will not get sick or only experience a mild illness. The specific objectives of this program are to provide information about the importance of immunization for children, to achieve complete basic immunization coverage for infants according to village/kelurahan targets and to achieve advanced immunization targets for children under two years of age (baduta) and elementary school-age children. The method of implementing activities uses the planning stage and the implementation stage. PKM activities in the form of Health Education about Basic Immunization of Infants began with assessment and data collection of the number of families who have babies/toddlers, starting on May 8 2023. Meanwhile the counseling was carried out at Posyandu in the working area of the Minasatene Health Center in Bonto Kio Village, Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. The results obtained after the implementation of this activity are: 1) increasing parents' knowledge about the importance of basic immunization in infants; and 2) increasing parents' understanding of the side effects that arise after being immunized and how to deal with these side effects.

Abstract

The incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia reached 20,928 and cervical cancer is in second place after breast cancer. Pap smear is a microscopic examination of cells obtained from a cervical smear to detect early changes or abnormalities in the cervix before the cells become cancer and can be carried out by health workers other than gynecologists. The purpose of a pap smear is: a). Try to find cells that are not normal and can develop into cervical cancer. b). A tool to detect pre-cervical cancer symptoms for someone who has not yet suffered from cancer. c). Know the abnormalities that occur in cervical cancer cells. d). To determine the level of malignancy of the cancer cells, the examination is carried out by looking at the cervix which has been treated with 3-5% acetic acid inspectively. The methods used with the descriptive approach include: Conducting counseling about early detection of cervical cancer, Carrying out questions and answers about cervical cancer and the IVA test, Carrying out initial screening, namely no menstruation during the IVA test, no intercourse for 2 days, Carrying out an anamnesis on each - each respondent. Carrying out IVA tests in communities that have met the requirements for IVA tests. The number of respondents who met the requirements for the IVA test was 86 respondents. This IVA test was carried out for 3 days in three different locations, then the results of 46 people were obtained with positive IVA results. Conclusion: It is hoped that the IVA test carried out on the target group that has been held will be able to raise the target group's awareness of the importance of reproductive health.

Abstract

Iron is a mineral needed to form hemoglobin or red blood cells. Iron also plays a role in the formation of myoglobin (a protein that carries oxygen to muscles), collagen (a protein found in bones, cartilage and connective tissue), and enzymes. Iron can also be used for the body's defense system. The aim of this community service is to provide health education on the provision of iron (Fe) tablets for the formation of red blood cells (Hb) in the coastal community of Sumpang Binangae Subdistrict as many as 41 children. The Hb examination method used is analyzing children's capillary blood samples using the GCHb tool, then continuing with the distribution of vitamins. Meanwhile, the method of providing information regarding the importance of maintaining personal hygiene to parents of children is through oral presentations and joint discussions. The results of the Hb level examination obtained are compared with the standard reference for normal Hb values ​​and then analyzed whether the results are in accordance with normal values ​​or not. Meanwhile, from the results of the counseling, it was found that there was an increase in parents' understanding of the importance of children's health in increasing knowledge about the importance of children's health and providing children with vitamins was an effort to improve children's health for the sake of an intelligent generation.

Abstract

Preparation for maternal health must begin when a woman is planning a pregnancy, during pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum and breastfeeding period, the period of using family planning contraception until old age, while the baby's health must be considered from the time the fetus is in the womb, during the birth process, when it is just born. , babies, toddlers, pre-school children, school years to teenagers. The aim of this community service activity is to increase participants' knowledge and motivation in efforts to accelerate the reduction of maternal mortality rates requiring cross-sector support, especially in empowering husbands, wives, families and the community in planning childbirth and being prepared to face obstetric and neonatal complications. Method of community service activities through education and training for husbands who are ready to standby. in the working area of ​​the Manisa Community Health Center, Manisa Village. The results of community service activities through education and training for husband and wife couples who have been implemented have had a positive impact on the knowledge of mothers of reproductive age in the working area of ​​the Manisa Community Health Center, Manisa Village.
