Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are: (1) To know the student’s learning outcomes in physics subject taught by cooperative learning model type of jigsaw based on mind mapping. (2) To know the student’s learning outcomes  in physics subject taught by  conventional learning based on mind mapping. (3) To know the effect of cooperative learning model type of jigsaw based on mind mapping on student’s learning outcomes in the temperature and heat subject matter.  The type of research was quasi experiment with the population all of student in class X even semester in SMA N 3 Medan which consits of 14 classes. Sample of this research was obtained by technique of cluster random sampling. The sample is X MIA 12 as the experiment class and X MIA 14 as the control class. Experiment class taught by cooperative learning model type of jigsw based on mind mapping and control class taught by direct instruction  model. The research instrument has 20 questions in multiple choice forms with 5 options, the instrument tested validated. In this research obtained the mean of pre-test in experiment class is 41.41 and in control class is 41.25. After that do the treatment in experiment class taught by cooperative learning model type of jigsaw based on mind mapping  and in control class taught by direct instruction model, and then done the post-test. The mean of post-test in experiment class is 80.16  and in control class was 68.90. In hypothesis testing obtained tcount > ttable that was 5.18 >1.669 at significant level α = 0.05 and n = 32. So, can be concluded that the student’s learning outcomes in experiment class differ with  control class. Can be concluded that there is effect of cooperative learning model type on student’s learning outcomes in the temperature and heat subject matter in class x even semester  SMA N 3 Medan academic year 2013/2014. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together berbantuan peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Habinsaran T.P. 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Habinsaran terdiri dari 6 kelas berjumlah 232 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu Kelas X-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang dan kelas X-1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan ada 2, yaitu  tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi aktifitas belajar siswa. Tes hasil belajar dibuat dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan 5 option  sebanyak 20 soal. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata postes dengan kelas eksperimen 74,06 dan kelas kontrol 63,13. Rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa adalah 72,60 termasuk kategori aktif. Hasil uji t postes untuk α=0,05 dan dk=70, diperoleh thitung = 4,55 dan ttabel = 1,669, sehingga thitung> ttabel, ini berarti nilai rata-rata postes pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together berbantuan Peta Konsep terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok listrik dinamis kelas X Semester II SMA N 1 Habinsaran T.P. 2012/2013.   Kata kunci : kooperatif learning tipe NHT, peta konsep, hasil belajar, aktivitas ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together assisted concept mapping on learning outcomes of students' cognitive and activity in the subject matter Dynamic Electricity in the second half in class X SMA Negeri 1 Habinsaran TP 2012/2013. The study was quasi-experimental with the entire population of tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Habinsaran consists of 6 classes and 232 people. Samples were taken 2 classes are determined by random cluster sampling technique, the Class X-2 as an experimental class with 32 students and the number of classes X-1 as a control class with the number of students 40. There are 2 instruments used, namely achievement test and observation sheets siswa. Tes learning activities learning outcomes is made in the form of multiple choice with option 5 of 20 questions. Hypothesis test used was t-test. The results obtained average posttest with experimental class 74.06 and a grade control with 63.13. Overall average is 72.60 students' learning activities including active category. T-test post-test results for α = 0.05 and df = 70, obtained t = 4.55 and t table = 1.669, so that tcalculation > ttable, the mean value of the average post-test in the experimental class higher than the control class, so it can be concluded that there is influence of cooperative learning model aided Numbered Heads Together concept map on learning outcomes of students in the subject matter of Dynamic Electricity in the second half in class X  SMA N 1 Habinsaran TP 2012/2013. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep dengan menggunakan peta pikiran sebagai upaya mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian  adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Tanjungtiram yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen 86,7 (kategori amat baik) dan kelas kontrol 72,1 (kategori baik). Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperolehthitung > ttabel yaitu 9,562> 1,997 denganα = 0,05. Hal ini berarti Ha diterima artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan akibat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran pencapaian konsepdengan menggunakan peta pikiran sebagai upaya mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa.   Kata Kunci : quasi eksperimen, pencapaian konsep, miskonsepsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning type TGT using concept  maps towards students’ learning outcomes on fluid  dynamics topic grade XI SMA Negeri 5 Binjai A.Y. 2012/2013. The type of research is quasi experimental research. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Binjai Academic Year 2012/2013, consist of four classes. Two classes is selected randomly as sample. One class as experiment class treatment using cooperative learning type TGT using concept maps and another class as control class using direct instruction. Data is tested is normal distribution and homogeny. To do hypothesis test used with t one tailed. Testing of  hypothesis for posttest showed that tcount > ttable. Based on the observation about students’ affective, psychomotor, and activity that done by observers showed that experimental class higher than control class. This case means there are differences of students’ learning outcomes caused by effects of cooperative learning type TGT using concept maps on fluid dynamics topic grade XI SMA Negeri 5 Binjai A.Y. 2012/2013.
