Abstract

The classroom action research (CAR) has been done to overcome the low activity of the Open University student learning outcomes on the registration phase II 2009.1 Pokjar Bojonegoro on Basic Statistics course. This research has been done by applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning type. CAR performed consisted of pre-cycles for initial data capture, cycle 1 for the repair stage 1 and cycle 2 for phase 2 improvements. Data obtained through observation sheet and test evaluation results of basic statistical learning materials as well as a questionnaire response to ongoing learning. Data processing techniques with descriptive statistics of average and percentage. The results showed that the application of learning cooperatif Jigsaw Basic Statistics in learning activities can increase the activity of students, from 66.7% of students are active to 93.3%. Increased learning outcomes of the Open University student through the implementation of cooperative learning Jigsaw in Basic Statistics learning activities increased 93.3, namely from 3.3% before being implemented improvement to 96.6% after cycle II.

Abstract

Terampil membaca bukan hanya berarti dapat membaca baris-baris kalimat yang tertulis tetapi juga memahami apa yang tersirat dari materi yang tertulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa melalui peningkatan keterampilan membaca kritis dalam pembelajaran membaca dengan menggunakan pertanyaan penuntun. Rancangan peneltian yang digunakan adalah rancangan penelitian tindakan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan mengikuti alur: merencanakan tindakan, melaksanakan tindakan dalam pembelajaran, melakukan pengamatan terhadap pelaksanaan tindakan, dan merefleksi pelaksanaan tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan tindakan keterampilan membaca kritis siswa meningkat. Peningkatan keterampilan dalam proses membaca meliputi: keterampilan mengajukan pertanyaan sebelum membaca, keterampilan membaca kritis dengan mengajukan pertanyaan tentang materi yang dibaca, menjawab pertanyaan penuntun, mengemukakan pendapat untuk merespon bacaan selama proses membaca. Peningkatan hasil membaca dapat dilihat dari hasil tes yang dicapai siswa pada semua kelompok, dari siklus I sampai siklus III.

Abstract

The study was aimed to develop character-education-based literacy activities through the children active involvement ofliteracy practice in kindergarten. In particular, the aim is (1) the analysis of the needs and constraints to obtain baseline data; (2) designing and developing a guidebook for character-based literacy activities with the active involvement of children in the literacy practice in kindergarten. The study was carried out by using a development research approach. The research subjects consisted of 22 kindergarten teachers and childrens from three kindergarten institutions. The research location is three kindergartens in Jombang, namely: TK Pembina Gudo, TK Negeri Pembina Jombang, and TK Al Wardah Peterongan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, scrutiny of documents, materials selection, and material mapping. Data were analyzed with descriptive techniques. Test the validity of product development validation performed by two groups of product development validator, the validator group practitioners/teachers (V1) and validator expert (V2). The results showed that the literacy hear-speak on a kindergartner who stand out include the ability to: retell stories read, perform songs, and participate in the conversation. As the literacy skills to read and write show the emergence of capabilities: holding the book from the right side, turning the page on the right side; show interest in writing; and draw/scribble and can tell by the picture. The result of the development is the Activity Books for Literacy Development Character-Education-Based, as a handbook for teachers.An assessment of the validity of product developmentcarried out on four aspects, namely the aspects of substance, presentation, linguistic, and graphic design. Validity test results showed that the quality of the product development of products in general have met the quality of "good" and "excellent".Recommendations for kindergarten teachers to conduct literacy activities by including elements of character education in all of the planning component of literacy learning, includes the objective component, material and activities procedure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kegiatan keaksaraan berbasis karakter melalui pelibatan aktif praktik keaksaraan anak TK. Secara khusus tujuannya adalah (1) analisis kebutuhan dan kendala untuk memperoleh data dasar; (2) mendesain dan mengembangkan buku panduan kegiatan keaksaraan berbasis karakter dengan pelibatan aktifanak dalam praktik keaksaraan di TK. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan.Subyek penelitian terdiri atas 22 orang guru TK dan anak-anak TK yang berasal dari tiga lembaga TK. Lokasi penelitian adalah tiga TK di Kabupaten Jomban, yakni TK Pembina Kecamatan Gudo, TK Negeri Pembina Kecamatan Jombang, dan TK Al Wardah Kecamatan Peterongan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, pencermatan dokumen, seleksi bahan, dan pemetaan materi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif. Uji validitas produk pengembangan dilakukan validasi produk pengembangan oleh dua kelompok validator, yakni kelompok validator praktisi/guru (V1) dan validator ahli (V2).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi dengar-bicara pada anak TK yang menonjol meliputi kemampuan: menceritakan kembali cerita yang dibacakan, melakukan nyanyian, dan ikut serta dalam percakapan. Adapun kemampuan literasi baca-tulis menunjukkan kemunculan kemampuan: memegang buku dari sisi kanan, membalik halaman dari sisi kanan; menunjukkan ketertarikan terhadap tulisan; dan membuat gambar/coretan dan dapat bercerita dengan gambar tersebut. Hasil pengembangan adalah Buku Kegiatan untuk Pengembangan Keaksaraan Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter, sebagai buku panduan untuk guru. Penilaian terhadap validitas produk pengembangan dilakukan terhadap empat aspek, yakni aspek substansi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan kegrafikan. Hasil uji validitas produk menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk pengembangan secara umum telah memenuhi kualitas “baik” dan “sangat baik”. Rekomendasi bagi guru TK adalah melaksanakan kegiatan keaksaraan dengan cara memasukkan unsur-unsur pendidikan karakter pada semua komponen perencanaan pembelajaran keaksaraan, meliputi komponen tujuan, materi, dan prosedur kegiatan.

Abstract

The article draws on research that aims to develop a model of the development of pre-reading-writing ability of a character-based education in kindergarten. The study was used the Research and Development method involving teachers and children at three kindergartens in Jombang. The procedure consists of two phases study, the preliminary studies and model development. Data collected by observation, interviews, documentation, questioner techniques, validation testing experts, and the results are analyzed with qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that teachers require manual and development model's to pre-reading-writing ability of a character-based, as well as scenario development activity. The model of development gives the possibility for children to develop the ability to recognize text and pre-reading-writing through story. Development model cantains character values on planning, include: objectives, materials, and activities, as well as the implementation, include: introduction, core, and closing activities. Artikel ini disusun berdasarkan penelitian yang bertujuan mengembangkan model pengembangan kemampuan pra-membaca-menulis berbasis pendidikan karakter di TK. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan melibatkan guru-guru dan anak-anak di tiga TK Kabupaten Jombang. Prosedur penelitian terdiri atas dua tahap, yakni studi pendahuluan dan pengembangan model. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, kuesioner dan uji validasi pakar, serta hasilnya dianalisis dengan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru membutuhkan panduan dan model pengembangan kemampuan pra-membaca-menulis berbasis karakter, serta skenario kegiatan pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang dihasilkan memungkinkan anak mengenal tulisan dan mengembangkan kemampuan pra-membaca-menulis melalui cerita. Model pengembangan memuat nilai karakter pada komponen perencanaan, meliputi: tujuan, materi, dan kegiatan, serta pada pelaksanaan meliputi: pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup.

Abstract

The purpose of this study explains the effectiveness of the student activity sheet model to enhance scientific creativity and student learning outcomes and student responses to the learning process. The research design used pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The study's subject was the student activity sheet (SAS) model and the implementation of primary teacher Education undergraduate students who programed a science introductory concept course during the 2019.1 registration at Open University. Data collected using test methods and questionnaires with product cognitive test instruments, cognitive process tests, scientific creativity tests and student questionnaire responses. Data analyzed by t-test and the proportions calculated. Normality test and homogeneity test are done before the t-test is applied. Increased creativity and student learning outcomes are calculated using normalized N-Gain. The results showed: 1) Improvement of students' scientific creativity after joining learning in the medium category. 2) Improving student learning outcomes after participating in learning in the good category. 3) Student responses to the learning process in the positive category. Based on the above, it can be concluded that the application of student activity sheet model used in learning activities to improve scientific creativity competency and student learning outcomes is effective.

Abstract

Wabah global telah melanda dunia, begitu pula yg terjadi di Indonesia, sehingga program stay at home dilaksanakan sbg upaya menekan perluasan covid-19. Pada Universitas Terbuka, bulan Maret adalah awal semester tutorial masa registrasi 2020.1, baik tutorial online (tuton) maupun tutorial tatap muka (TTM). UT Semarang, sedang memasuki tutorial perdana pada mahasiswa yang mengambil modus pembelajaran TTM. Untuk menaati program pemerintah, modus pembelajaran dialihkan menjadi kelas virtual, agar mahasiswa tetap mendapatkan haknya memperoleh ilmu tetapi tetap aman dengan di rumah saja. Kelas TTM diganti menggunakan modus tuweb (tutorial webinar). Modus baru didapatkan mahasiswa sehingga mendorong penelitian ini dilakukan. Bagaimana kesiapan mahasiswa dengan pembaharuan modus belajar? Bagaimana penguasaan teknologi yang diperlukan mahasiswa dalam menyongsong pembelajarannya? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan kuesioner. Populasi diambil dari 100 mahasiswa UT Semarang, pokjar Kabupaten Batang dari berbagai semester. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan 82% mahasiswa mendukung dan semakin semangat dalam menyiapkan teknologi untuk modus baru pembelajaran menggunakan tuweb. Saran dan masukan mahasiswa juga menjadikan evaluasi dalam pelayanan lebih prima pada UT maupun dunia pendidikan pada keadaan global yang sedang terkena wabah ini.

Abstract

The implementation of learning activities during the pandemic is carried out online, including learning activities at the Distance Learning Program Unit of the Open University of Semarang using Web-based Tutorials (Tuweb) using Microsoft Team. Online learning requires students to study independently. The purpose of this study was to integrate the impact of user experience, academic self-concept and adversity quetion on independent learning in students. This type of research is quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a psychological scale. The psychological scale used in this study is (1) the learning independence scale. (2) academic self-concept scale (3) adversity quotient scale and (4) user experience scale. The measurement results show a TLI of 0.955. This output shows the accuracy, consistency of the accuracy of the composite reliability measuring instrument which shows the accuracy, consistency of the accuracy of a measuring instrument in making measurements. Student independence is influenced by academic self-concept and user experience, but the adversity quotient does not have a significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the formation of independent learning through Independent Learning Activity Training in improving the ability of Scientific Writing at the PGSD-UT S1 Pokjar Pamekasan 2017-2018.2; (2) obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the formation of independent learning through designing tutorials in improving the ability of Scientific Writing at S1 PGSD-UT Pokjar Pamekasan 2017-2018.2. Based on these objectives, this research was carried out using a descriptive-qualitative research approach. The process of data analysis begins with examining all data, reducing data, arranging it in units, and analyzing it with percentages. The data analysis of the research was carried out by quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage calculations. This step is the first step towards the whole process of qualitative descriptive analysis. Quantitative descriptive data analysis in the form of a percentage will be the basis for determining the effectiveness of qualitative descriptive analysis of the variables studied. Analysis activities include: data reduction, data presentation, inference and verification. Data reduction activities include classification of data, coding of data according to the type of data. Data is presented in the form of a description. Followed by meaning and conclusion. Through the steps of the research, the research findings are as follows. First, research findings on the formation of independent learning through Independent Learning Activity Training in improving the ability of Scientific Writing at the PGSD-UT S1 Pokjar Pamekasan 2017-2018.2 achieve good quality scores and very effective mastery acquisition. Second, the research findings about the effectiveness of the formation of independent learning through designing tutorials in improving the ability of Scientific Writing at S1 PGSD-UT Pokjar Pamekasan 2017-2018.2 achieve good scores and effective acquisition of mastery. Third, students' scientific work achieves sufficient quality scores and effective mastery.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a valid and effective Recreational Educational Game for increasing early childhood language literacy. Literacy is a good culture to develop, literacy is reading, listening, writing, and speaking, the basic things that must be done. Unesco said that Indonesia ranks second from the bottom in terms of world literacy, meaning that people's interest in reading and writing is very low. Among the factors that influence literacy are habituation and the media. The type of research used is research and development from Bord and Gall. The research subjects were 2 Early Childhood Education Programs units in Jember. The instruments used were model validation sheets, educational game questionnaire sheets, and literacy tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. So as to create an Educational Recreation Game activity to increase literacy in early childhood without leaving the principle of playing for children. The Educational Games carried out refer to the curriculum that has been used by Early Childhood Education Programs teachers. The results of the study show that the Educational Recreation Game that was developed is valid as an appropriate learning medium for increasing early childhood literacy. Effective for increasing children's language literacy.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan model maria montessori untuk meningkatkan aspek kognitifpada anak usia dini di kecamatan mejobo kabupaten kudus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK Pertiwi di kecamatan Mejobo Kabupaten Kudus. Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data digunakan pedoman observasi anak didik, dan tes unjuk kerja anak.Analisis data secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) aspek kognitif anak dalam bentuk hasil karya yaitu pada siklus I anak yang berkembang sangat baik 7 anak (46,67 %), sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 9 anak (60%), sehingga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 13,33%, (2) Aspek kognitif anak dalam bentuk penugasan pada siklus I anak yang berkembang sangat baik 5 anak atau 33,33 %, sedangkan pada siklus II menjadi 8 anak atau 53,33%, sehingga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 20% dan (3) aspek kognitif anak dalam bentuk unjuk kerja pada siklus I anak yang berkembang sangat baik 5 anak atau 33,33%, sedangkan pada siklus II menjadi 9 anak atau 60%, sehingga terdapat peningkatan sebesar 26,67%.
