Abstract

This study generally aims to explain the measurement of strategy orientation in more depth. The qualitative approach was used in this study, by applying library research methods. The data used in the form of secondary data, the scientific article to the source of the data used was elektonik data originating from Google Scholar, Emerald Insights, Sciencedirect, and SAGE. The results for measuring orientation strategy appropriate for SMEs, that are customers, competitors, low cost orientation, entrepreneurship and innovation. But generally orientation strategy can be classified into three main elements, first market orientation, which consists of knowledge, competencies and skills of employees to build good relationships with consumers, second technology orientation which includes understanding employees and managers in the use of new technologies, and the last, Orientation to reduce the cost includes the tendency to reduce costs in the form of cost leadership strategies so that it can increase market share. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO), Market Orientation (MO), and Financial Orientation (FO) on the Performance of Karawo SMEs. The research design used was quantitative analysis by using multiple regression analysis tools. It was found that entrepreneurial orientation did not affect the performance of Karawo SMEs, market orientation did not affect the performance of Karawo SMEs. However, the finding regarding financial orientation was different. It found that market orientation influenced the performance of Karawo SMEs in Gorontalo City. Therefore, based on research findings obtained, to improve the performance of SMEs, further research can develop the existing models by adding two variables, namely customer value and strategy orientation, in improving SME performance. Also, SME performance should be classified into two parts, namely financial performance, and non-financial performance.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to analyze the effect of leverage on firm value, the effect of leverage on investment, the effect of investment on firm value and effect of leverage on firm value through investment. The research was conducted in the food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), consisted of 15 companies from 2007 through 2011. The analysis used was PLS (Partial Least Square). The study result showed that leverage variable influenced on the firm value, leverage didn’t influence on the investment and investment variable influenced on the firm value but leverage didn’t influence on the firm value through investment.Keywords: leverage, investment and firm value

Abstract

Abstrak: Karakteristik Perusahaan, Luas Pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility, dan Nilai Perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan terhadap pengungkapan CSR dan nilai perusahan pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi multipel. Penelitian ini menggunakan 129 sampel perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa karakteristik perusahaan yang terdiri dari ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh negatif terhadap pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial. Namun di sisi lain konsentrasi kepemilikan berpengaruh positif terhadap pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial, sedangkan pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan.  Abstract: The Characteristics of the Company, Disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility, and Corporate Value. This study aims to examine the effect of corporate characteristics to CSR disclosure and company’s profile of manufacturing companies listed in BEI. Multiple regression was used as method for this research with 129 sample of manufacturing companies listed in BEI. The results prove that company’s characteristic which is company’s size has negative effect to CSR reporting. Apart from company’s size, ownership concentration has positive impact to CSR reporting, while CSR Repoting has positive effect to company’s value.

Abstract

Community service carried out through the Science and Technology Program for the community aims to empower the potential of the Bulan and Tuna Tomini groups in Tanjung Kramat which are located in coastal areas with the livelihood of the people who are tuna fishermen. The main problems of the two partners are related to the processing, production, and marketing of products. The target of this program is the establishment of a business unit that develops food products from tuna fish. In particular, the program aims to train two partners, namely the Bulan and Tuna Tomini to produce tuna fish abon. Training will be given starting from production techniques, packaging, marketing, to business management techniques. The method that will be applied to achieve the goals/targets is a combination of several approaches, namely through counseling, training, mentoring, as well as providing production equipment assistance. The results achieved in this activity are the Bulan and Tuna Tomini groups who have understood and possessed entrepreneurial skills, more structured business management, addition of flavored tuna fish, which are spicy and sweet spicy flavors and marketing expansion through packaging innovation, and PIRT license

Abstract

This study aims to reveal whether the telecommunication sector company is bankrupt by using the Altman Z-Score, Zmijewski and Springate models and to measure which model provides a good level of accuracy in predicting bankruptcy. Using quantitative methods with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research data was taken from the financial statements of 5 companies in the telecommunications sector for the period 2013-2017. The results showed that the telecommunications sector companies have the potential to go bankrupt based on the measurement results of the Altman Z-Score, Zmijewski and Springate models. The best model used in predicting bankruptcy is the Zmijewski compared to the Altman Z-Score and Springate.

Abstract

Increasing the prosperity of the owners or shareholders through increasing the firm value is the main goal of the corporation. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to grow the company and use an optimal capital structure in accordance with the trade-off theory that predicts a positive relationship to the value of the company. This study aims to determine the effect of company growth and capital structure on increasing company value. The research method uses a quantitative approach, using the purposive sampling technique in the food and beverage sub-sector, and multiple regression is used for data analysis. The finding of the study indicates that firm growth has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Capital structure has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value. Together, firm growth and capital structure have no significant effect on firm value in the food and beverage sub-sector. The growth of a firm requires large investment costs and optimizing the funding of the company’s capital structure.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, leverage terhadap profitabilitas dan nilai perusahaan; ukuran perusahaan, leverage terhadap nilai perusahaan melalui profitabilitas pada Perusahaan Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2015-2019. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 38 perusahaan dengan analisis data menggunakan path analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ukuran perusahaan dan leverage berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas dan nilai perusahaan; profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan; ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening; namun leverage tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening. Abstract

The Entrepreneurial orientation (EO), is a company activity that are related to proactive decision-making practices that pay attention to innovative strategies, risk-taking and exploiting market opportunities. This study aims to explain the development of the EO with a qualitative approach with the literature study method. Results obtained, EO was first introduced by miller in 1983, stating the importance of innovation, risk taking, productiveness in the EO concept, later developed by Morris and Paul (1987), and Merz and Sauber (1995). In 1996 Lumpkin and Dess perfected the EO concept of Miller (1983) by adding autonomy and competitive aggressiveness in measuring EO. But in its development to date, EO measurements based on several earlier studies EO measurements combine between the studies of Miller (1983) and Lumpkin and Dess (1996).

Abstract

Entrepreneurial orientation EO is a practice that provides basic results and entrepreneurial action. Therefore, this study aims to explain the development of entrepreneurship orientation (EO) and its measurement based on previous research using a qualitative approach with literature research methods (library research). Finding that EO is an entrepreneurial model focused on management strategies and also used to measure EO is Proactive, Innovative, risk-taking, Competitiveness, Autonomy, Competitive Energy.
