Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the effect of institutional ownership and capital structure on the company’s value. The population used in this study are all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 until 2014. The main data used in this research is the financial data in 2010 until 2014. Completed and selected financial data this research are 32 companies so that the samples in this research using five periods are 160. For examining data, this research uses panel data regression model. After running chow test and Hausman test, the most suitable method for the regression is fixed effects method. This research shows that institutional ownership has positive influence significantly on the company’s value, capital structure has no influence significantly on the company’s value Keywords: institutional ownership, capital structure, the company’s value

Abstract

A descriptive study using 30 female local Lombok ducks age ready to lay was carried out to know the local Lombok egg duck production and its quality raised intensively in Centre Lombok for making a salted egg. The observation was done in three months. Variable observed were eggs production (monthly production, egg weight, egg index), shell quality (texture, thickness, color), and internal egg quality (yolk index, yolk color, yolk and albumen weight ratio, egg spot). Data were analyzed by using simple statistic to get the mean and the deviation standard. The observation results were: monthly egg production in the first three months were 58,15 ± 10,98%; 60,25 ± 10,60%; 50,00 ± 15,73%; average egg weight and its index were 61,42 ± 2,73 gram and 0,74 ± 0,10. The shell surface was smooth and the thickness was 0,40 ± 0,09 mm. The shell color was greenish dark blue. The yolk index was 0,47, the yolk color varied between 10 and 14, the yolk albumen ratio was 1.04, and there was not an egg spot. The quality of the local Lombok egg ducks was good for making a salted egg.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui morfometrik berdasarkan tipe jengger ayam kampung di Kota Mataram. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Ampenan, Selaparang, dan Cakranegara Kota Mataram. Materi yang digunakan ayam kampung dewasa sebanyak 270 ekor yang terdiri dari 135 ekor ayam jantan dan 135 ekor ayam betina. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara Random Sampling. Variabel yang diamati yaitu tipe jengger, jenis kelamin, tinggi jengger, panjang shank, panjang tibia, panjang femur, panjang tulang dada, jarak antara tulang pubis dan jarak antara tulang pubis dan dada, bobot badan. Data ditabulasikan berdasarkan tipe jengger dan jenis kelamin, Tipe jengger dihitung frekuensinya. data morfometrik dianalisis dengan analisis variansi dilanjutkan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ayam kampung jantan dan betina jengger tunggal, rose, walnut dan pea tidak berbeda nyata ( p > 0,05) pada panjang shank, panjang taji, panjang tulang dada, jarak tulang pubis dan jarak tulang pubis dengan dada pada ayam jantan dan betina.

Abstract

A potential production study of Sasak duck and the non-indigenous ducks (Campbell, mojosari, MA, and alabio ducks) was carried out in Centre Lombok Regency. Research materials were 50 female DODs for each breed. The variables observed were growth rate and feed conversion. The growth rate was measured every week from started from DOD until 10 weeks old. The data obtained were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA Complete Randomized Design. Results of research: body weight gain (BWG) for all breed increased until age between 5-6 weeks after that declined. Sasak and Campbell BWG were the least. The shank length average of all breed increased 253,86% within ten weeks. The shank length gain (SLG) for all breeds decreased steadily from the first week. The relative SLG of Sasak and MA ducks were between labia duck and Campbell ducks. The relative SLG of labor duck was highest and while that of mojosari ducks was the lowest. The average of the shank diameter gain within 10 weeks for all breeds increased 217.43%. There was no shank diameter difference (P 0.05 >) between Sasak ducks and the nation Lombok indigenous ducks. The average of middle finger length (MFL) of all breeds from one to 10 weeks increased 181,90%. The relative MFL gain of Sasak and Campbell ducks were less (P < 0.05) than that of the other three breeds. The feed conversion of Sasak, Campbell ducks, mojosari, MA, and alabio were 3.60; 3.90; 4.04; 4.06, and 3.66 consecutively.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the diversity of qualitative and morphometric traits of Kampung chickens based on the comb-types in Lombok Island. Four hundred and seventeen Kampung chickens that are maintained traditionally were used in this study. The method used was a survey. The determination of location was done by purposive sampling, and samples taken were selected by random sampling. Qualitative data included comb-type, fur color, skin color, and foot color. Morphometric data included comb height, shank length, tibia length, femur length, the distance between pubic bones, the distance between the pubic bone and breastbone and body weight. Data were analyzed using simple statistical analysis. The results show that there were 4 (four) types of comb namely walnut comb (36.45 percent), single (30.45 percent), pea (24.46 percent) and rose (8.64 percent). Fur colors found were black, golden, striated and white. White fur color was only found in pea combs. The earlobe colors were red and white. Shank colors were black, white and yellow. The skin colors were yellow and white. The highest morphometrics of Kampung chicken was found in chickens with the type of rose comb which showed comb height of 12.16 + 2.78mm, shank length of 74.26 + 11.62mm, tibia length of 88.47 + 11.87mm, femur length of 82.11 + 12.45mm, distance of two pubic bones of 35.95 + 7.32mm), distance between the pubic bone and breastbone of 54.74 + 9.86mm and body weight of 1658.19 + 339.63gram.

Abstract

Coastal water is vulnerable to anthropogenic substances such as human activities by product in coastal land and  upper land area. Semarang coastal area is one of areas which has progressive development in northern coastal of Java Island.  The aim of this study was to evaluate ocean health status based on heavy metal contain and benthic foraminiferal characteristics as the bioindicator.  Sampling and laboratory activities were carried out in August 2010. Sampling stations were located on the estuaries of Western Canal Flood, Tanjung Mas Port and  Eastern Canal Flood.  The result showed that Tanjung Mas pool port had the highest Pb, Zn,and Total Organic Compounds (TOC) concentrations. The average of abnormal test of benthic foraminiferal (Ammonia beccarii) were also higher in Tanjung Mas port than in eastern and western canal flood. Keywords: assessment, coastal water, Semarang.

Abstract

Gresik coastal waters is one of the areas that have a potential risk for environmental damage due to anthropogenic activities. Water and sediment samples were collected to determin  metals concentration and to identify sediment quality in February 2012. Twelve samples were collected for analysis of mercury (Hg) and four other metals (Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn). Mercury was analyzed using USEPA method 7471B with Flameless-AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) varian type SpectarAA VGA 20-76 and the other metals were analyzed using USEPA 30050B with Flame-AAS. Results showed that ranges and average concentrations of Hg were 0.04-0.33 (0.13) mg/kg, Cd 0.08-3.05 (0.64) mg/kg, Cu 23.7-234.0 (85.5) mg/kg, Pb 1.74-12.7 (4.29) mg/kg, and Zn 77.0-405.0 (133.0) mg/kg. Metals with high concentrations were detected in some places and by SQG-Q, surface sediment showed a moderate impact level of biological adverse effects in aquatic sediments. Abstract

Chronic sediment toxicity tests could be used to evaluate the effects of sediment on critical stages in the life of an organism like invertebrate larvae and microalgae. Microalgae play an important role in aquatic ecosystem due to their role as producer in food chain producing organic matter and oxygen through photosynthesis process. This paper aimed to assess sediment quality of Semarang water using chronic sediment toxicity test. Research was conducted by testing 13 sediment samples from Semarang coastal region in August, 2010. Results showed that sediments exposed for 96 hours were still able to stimulate the growth of C. gracilis eventhough the copper concentration was above standard value provided by the CCME. The conclusion from this research was that sediment in Semarang still in good condition and can support growth of C. gracilis as primary producer. Chronic sediment toxicity test using C. gracilis could be combined with heavy metal measurement for sediment quality asessment. Abstract

The research of purification process of crude glycerol using phosphoric acid and white cement as adsorbent has been carried out. The aim of this research was to study the effect of phosphoric acid concentration and weight of white cement used as adsorbent in the purification process to the purity of glycerol. The research was done by the addition phosphoric acid in crude glycerol followed by adsorption with white cement. Glycerol quality parameters were determined by assesment of glycerol density, viscosity, and by comparing its GC-MS spectra to GC-MS spectra of standard glycerol. The result showed that purification process of glycerol using 5 % phosphoric acid and 5 grams of white cement gave the highest level of glycerol which was 84.20%. The density of purified glycerol obtained in this research was 1.2595 ± 3.1622 x 10-5 g/mL, the viscosity was 1.4372 ± 3.8333 x 10-3 Pa.s, and the GC_MS spectra purified glycerol showed similar fragmentation pattern and retention time with the glycerol standard.

Abstract

Lapangan X terbagi menjadi 3 area yaitu North X, Middle X dan South X. Untuk mengoptimalkan perolehan minyak, kegiatan injeksi air dilakukan setahun setelah mencapai puncak produksi, pada tahun 1989. Salah satu cara evaluasi kinerja injeksi air adalah dengan grafik RF vs PVI yang dapat membantu analisis kinerja injeksi air tiap area pada suatu lapangan secara individual serta dibandingkan dengan kinerja injeksi air pada rata-rata lapangan. Area North X memiliki kinerja injeksi di bawah rata-rata lapangan, area Middle X dan South X berada di atas rata-rata lapangan. Untuk analisis heterogenitas reservoir, dilakukan perhitungan Variasi Permeabilitas Dysktra-Parson, Vdp. Area North X mempunyai heterogenitas tertinggi yaitu 0,998, area Middle X dan South X berturut-turut sebesar  0,75 dan 0,85. Pada perhitungan volumetric sweep efficiency, Evw dilakukan untuk mengetahui presentase reservoir yang telah tersapu oleh fluida injeksi dan dapat mencerminkan potensi perolehan minyak tambahan secara kuantitatif pada bagian reservoir yang belum tersapu. Hasil evaluasimenunjukkan bahwa area North X memiliki Evw paling rendah yaitu 66,14%. Evw area Middle X dan South X beruturut-turut sebesar 76,85% dan 88,58%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa heterogenitas reservoir berpengaruh terhadap volumetric sweep efficiency dan akhirnya berpengaruh terhadap kinerja injeksi air pada lapangan X. Area North X dapat dioptimasi lebih lanjut.
