Abstract

The objective of the study is to examine the effect of debt equity ratio, return on equity, and current ratio on stock returns. The independent variable is stock returns while the dependent variables are debt equity ratio, return on equity and current ratio. The research used a quantitative research approach, while the type of the study was descriptive statistics, and the nature of the study was an explanatory study. The research populations were 39 companies in the consumer goods industry sector while the 18 samples were drawn by using a purposive sampling technique consisting of consumer goods industries that met the criteria. The research data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis with the classical assumption test. Simultaneously, the research revealed that the debt equity ratio, return on equity and current ratio did not affect stock returns in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2014-2018. The calculation points out that F-count <F-table or 0.412 <2.92 with a significant level of 0.745> 0.05. Partially, the debt equity ratio, return on equity, and current ratio did not have any significant effect on stock returns in the Consumer Goods Industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2014-2018

Abstract

Stock price is one indicator that shows investor interest in owning a company's stock. An investor always expects a stable stock price and has a pattern of movement that tends to rise from time to time, but in fact the stock price tends to fluctuate. Fluctuating stock prices become a risk for investors. Therefore, an investor must understand the issues that must be considered in determining investment decisions. The research variables are Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Liquidity (CR), and Profitability (NPM) and Share Prices. The research populations were Trade, Service and Investment Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The research samples were drawn by using a purposive sampling technique. The research samples were 17 company financial statements that met the criteria as a sample of the company. The datacollection was performed by documentation techniques and the research data were analyzed by using multiple linear analysis. Hypothesis testing shows that the Individual Payout Ratio (DPR) and Liquidity (CR) do not have a significant effect on stock prices. Profitability (NPM) has a significant effect on Stock Prices. The value of Adjusted R Square was 0.275 indicating that variations in the DPR, CR, and NPM can explain variations in the variable Stock Price up to 27.5% while the remaining 72.7% can be explained by other factors outside the variables that have not been examined.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether inflation, the amount of money in circulation, the dollar exchange rate and interest rates are factors that affect the Composite Stock Price Index. This research uses deductive, quantitative, and descriptive approaches. The population to be used for 5 years. The determination of the sample is saturated so that the data is 60 data, where 5 years x 12 months. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that partially inflation and the dollar exchange rate had no impact on the JCI while the money supply had a significant positive impact on the JCI, interest rates had a significant negative impact on the JCI. Simultaneously, inflation, money supply, dollar exchange rate and interest rates have a significant impact on the JCI. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, the value of a Adjusted R Square is 0.709, which means that 70.9% of the variance of the JCI variable can be explained by the inflation variable, the amount of money in circulation, the dollar exchange rate and the remaining interest rate is influenced by other variables of 29.1%. for example world oil prices and GDP.
