Abstract

In determining the final project supervisor in making a decision by the department at the Balikpapan State Polytechnic, there are several factors that become criteria. This assessment is based on 3 criteria which will be divided into several sub-criteria, namely the first, namely Education, the sub-criteria are the subjects taught and areas of expertise, the second is lecturer research, the sub-criteria are research topics and theses, and the third is supporting the sub-criteria are training or workshops that have been attended. For the sake of efficiency and effectiveness of the department, the right decision making is very necessary. This study is used to build a decision-making system that has the ability to analyze in determining the final project supervisor using the profile matching method, where each criterion in this case the assessment factors and alternative supervisors is compared with one another so as to provide an output value priority intensity that produces a system that provides an assessment of each supervisor. This decision-making system can assist the department in determining the final project supervisor based on the criteria and weighted values. The application of this system is very useful to facilitate decision making related to the determination of the final project supervisor, so that the most appropriate final project supervisor will be obtained to guide students according to the competence of the lecturer and the theme of the student's final project.

Abstract

Percepatan pengembangan kendaraan listrik di Indonesia telah tertuang di dalam peraturan presiden (Perpres) nomor 55 tahun 2019. Percepatan pengembangan kendaraan listrik ini dilatarbelakangi oleh cadangan bahan bakar minyak yang terus menurun dan bahaya pencemaran lingkungan. Selain itu, pengembangan konsep kendaraan Low-Cost Green Car (LCGC) menjadi fokus penelitian di beberapa negara untuk memerangi pencemaran lingkungan. Pengembangan teknologi komponen penyusun battery, battery monitoring system (BMS) menopang sekitar 60% keberhasilan pengembangan kendaraan listrik. BMS dirancang untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan mengenai monitoring tegangan, arus dan temperature battery. Sensor tegangan pada BMS didesain menggunakan prinsip pembagi tegangan dengan mempertimbangkan tegangan kerja analog to digital converter (ADC) microcontroller. Penggunaan sensor arus ACS758 mempertimbangkan kebutuhan arus maksimal dari motor listrik yang digunakan. Sedangkan sensor temperature menggunakan PT100. Komunikasi serial digunakan untuk mengirimkan data dari microcontroller ke LabVIEW dengan protokol pengiriman data berupa data pembacaan tegangan, arus dan temperatur sebesar dua digit. Protokol pengiriman data dari microcontroller dicacah pada program block diagram LabVIEW dan ditampilkan pada front panel dalam bentuk grafik.

Abstract

The activity at the "Pangeran Antasari Balikpapan" Vocational School has several objectives: improving teacher competency by training and testing directly on Arduino-based practice modules that have multi-input and multi-output peripherals that have extensive functions for applications in automatic control systems. Analysis and discussion to partners there are 2 main problems, the problem of automation technology and teacher competence. The problem of automation technology is solved by training practice modules that are useful as learning media in the field of automatic control systems and can be implemented for various applications. The problem of teacher competence with technology updates is solved by the development of learning media so that the teacher is able to create and innovate in the control system. The method used in this activity is discussion, explanation, demonstration, practice, and observation.

Abstract

The use of induction motors in electric cars was developed since vector control technology was discovered and developed. In vector control technology requires dynamic modeling of induction motors on electrical and mechanical sides. Along with the development of controlling system technology, especially controllers based on system modeling, dynamic modeling of induction motors that are simple and easy to process to design a controller is needed. The state space equation is a solution that can be used to simplify induction motor modeling so that it is easier to determine vector control equations and design controllers to get maximum induction motor performance. In addition, the induction motor state space equation can also be used to design and determine the stability of an induction motor control system. The response to the basic characteristics of an induction motor includes the response of the characteristics of the stator current, rotor speed and electromagnetic torque at no-load conditions and at full load.

Abstract

The world of education, from elementary school to university levels, is required to be able to adapt to the progress of science and technology that is growing so rapidly, especially in the field of information. And the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic requires every institution to help reduce the number of its spread. One of the lines of society affected by COVID-19 is schools, especially elementary schools that do not yet have school website facilities as a medium of information to the public. In this community service activity, the implementing team designed the website for the SDN 020 Central Balikpapan school as a partner. The problems faced by partners are the location of schools that are not strategically located in the Central Balikpapan area, not having informative media for various aspects of interest, the existence of an online PPDB policy from the Education Office to suppress the spread of Covid19, To overcome these problems, SDN 020 Central Balikpapan must have websites. The benefits of online PPDB activities can be carried out so that parents do not need to go to school during registration, can meet the requirements as an Adiwiyata school, and can facilitate the achievement of school accreditation. The method of implementing community service activities by the team consists of building communication with partners, designing school websites, providing training on the use of websites in the form of filling out content and managing databases, implementing websites in schools, socializing school websites to the community, maintaining and repairing websites after implementation. This series of community service activities is planned for a maximum of 8 months. The service activity took place successfully and could help school operators in data processing and selecting prospective students easily and quickly

Abstract

Pengembangan konsep kendaraan Low-Cost Green Car (LCGC) dan zero emission menjadi fokus penelitian pada beberapa negara. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi cadangan bahan bakar minyak yang terus menurun dan bahaya pencemaran lingkungan. Motor listrik merupakan satu – satunya penggerak utama yang dapat diaplikasikan pada mobil listrik yang mengusung kedua konsep tersebut. Pada generasi awal pengembangan mobil listrik, motor DC menjadi solusi yang paling sesuai dikarenakan kemudahan pengoperasiannya dan pengaturan kecepatannya. Setelah teknologi kontrol vektor untuk motor induksi ditemukan dan dikembangkan, motor induksi mulai dipakai oleh beberapa pabrikan mobil listrik. Pada kontrol vektor, fluks dan torsi pada motor induksi dapat dikendalikan secara terpisah sehingga pengaturan motor induksi menyerupai motor DC. PMSM merupakan satu – satunya jenis motor listrik yang mampu menyamai motor induksi sebagai penggerak mobil listrik. Namun, PMSM memiliki kekurangan yang sangat vital yaitu mudah mengalami kerusakan magnetisasi akibat panas atau reaksi armature, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengaplikasikan PMSM pada mobi listrik. Motor listrik jenis SRM banyak digunakan pada mobil hybrid yang memadukan penggunaan mesin berbahan bakar minyak dengan motor listrik. SRM memiliki banyak kekurangan apabila diaplikasikan pada mobil listrik berskala kecil namun sangat sesuai untuk diaplikasikan pada mobil listrik berskala besar seperti bis.

Abstract

The source of electricity for the Taman Tiga Generasi facility, a Green Open Space in the City of Balikpapan, is highly dependent on PLN sources, resulting in an electrical energy crisis. Also, not all parks have facilities and infrastructure such as benches for visitors to sit on. Community service aims to apply electric bench technology with solar cell electricity generation for parks and implement Appropriate Technology products for the community based on solutions to partner problems. This community service method considers the health protocol in which the process is carried out directly and is limited. The stages are (1) Application of solar cell electricity technology to provide electricity for garden facilities; (2) Training by service team for partners regarding the operation and maintenance of electrical bench products with solar cell power supply; (3) Counseling regarding the conservation of electrical energy for partners. This community service resulted in a multifunctional electric bench product as a seat, as a place to charge mobile electronic devices, and as a source of lighting for the garden area with a solar panel-based power supply. Community service activities as part of the realization of alternative solar cells for electricity generation in Indonesia in saving electrical energy.

Abstract

This research activity in collaboration with partners is carried out with the background of wanting to implement relevant science to solve problems that occur in the community. The world of education, from elementary school to university levels, is required to be able to adapt to rapidly developing technological advances, especially in the field of information. Various ways are carried out by an agency to address the global issue of the 4.0 revolution, where information systems are needed, especially junior high schools that do not yet have a web server as a cloud-based database storage medium and school website facilities as a medium of information to the public. Various information can be provided through the school's website, including school profiles, learning activities, teacher and student achievements and New Student Admissions (PPDB). In this research activity, the implementing team designed a web server and school website using the UML (Unified Modeling Language) and PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language. The problems faced by partners are the location of the school which is less strategic and the number of applicants is getting smaller every year in the Batakan area of East Balikpapan, does not have informative media for various aspects of interest, the existence of an online PPDB policy from the Education Office to suppress the increase in cases of covid19, limited human resources in the internet and information systems, as well as school quality assurance, namely accreditation. To overcome these problems, SMP PJHI Balikpapan must have its own web server and website. The benefits of online PPDB activities can be carried out so that parents do not need to go to school during registration, and can facilitate the achievement of school accreditation, so as to increase the credibility of the school. The research activities carried out by the team consisted of establishing communication with partners, designing and implementing school servers and websites, providing training on the use of websites, implementing websites in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian Kerjasama dengan mitra ini dilatarbelakangi ingin menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat, seperti dunia pendidikan .Saat ini baik dari tingkat Sekolah Dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi dituntut dapat beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi yang berkembang pesat, utamanya dibidang Teknologi Informasi. Terutama Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Adzkiya Balikpapan yang belum memiliki Web Server sebagai media penyimpanan database berbasis cloud dan fasilitas website sekolah sebagai media informasi kepada masyarakat. Berbagai informasi dapat diberikan melalui website sekolah, contohnya Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) secara online. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah letak sekolah yang kurang strategis dan sedikit peminatnya yang setiap tahun jumlah pendaftar semakin sedikit di wilayah Lamaru Balikpapan Timur, tidak memiliki media yang infomatif untuk berbagai aspek kepentingan, adanya kebijakan PPDB online dari Dinas Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyelesaian masalah ini menggunakan Waterfall. Dengan dibuatnya Website berbasis Web Server menggunakan Cloud VPS (Virtual Private Server) sekaligus implementasi PPDB online bisa meningkatkan pendaftar dari berbagai penjuru warga Kota Balikpapan sehingga wali murid tidak perlu datang ke sekolah saat pendaftaran, dan dapat memudahkan pencapaian akreditasi sekolah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kredibilitas sekolah.

Abstract

In the process of making Bandung Crackers whose interest and existence are still visible in all regions in Indonesia, a method is needed that can help determine the right level of maturity to help make the work of employees in the industry easier. Therefore, the authors compiled this scientific research using a quantitative method that aims to find and design a controller tool systematically based on the Internet of Things (IoT) system, so that revolutionary technology for the industry can develop. Researchers used a monitoring tool in the form of a Type-K Thermocouple Sensor to read the temperature in the boiler, along with the OLED and the Blynk application, as well as the Buzzer Output. Broadly speaking, the Controller tool uses the Blynk application by moving a Servo Motor that has been integrated with the stove knob to adjust the small and large fire remotely. The application of Monitoring and Controller tools in this study is expected to facilitate and provide a sense of security for workers in the Bandung Cracker industry. Through the design of the tools and applications used, researchers can see the temperature from a distance of 1-5 meters. This makes it easy to find out the maturity time during the Bandung Crackers drying process at 1000C as an indicator of proper maturity.
