Abstract

The purpose of this research are to examine: (i) the problem solving ability of class VII-2 students at SMPN 1 Bima City in mathematics learning process using problem creating model; (ii) the problem solving process of class VII-2 student at SMPN I Bima City in mathematics learning process using problem creating model. This research employed qualitative approach. Data was collected though observation of learning presentation and in-depth interview. The results of this research reveal that (i) the research subjects who have high, medium, and low ability are able to solve mathematics problems well by completing all the steps of mathematics problem. However, the research sebjects have less accuracy on each problem solving result without writing the conclusion of the answers; (ii) in general, class VII-2 students can solve the mathematics problems well, but the mistakes they do are no written conclusion on the answers obtained.

Abstract

This research is to find out the comparism of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Discovery-Inquiry model on the 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sinjai year 2020/2021. This research used two classes chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. Both classes were given different treatments with the same material, that was One Variable Linear Equations. To obtain the data, the researcher used a test which had been tested through validity test and reliability test. After that, the data were analyzed with normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (Independent Sample T-Test). The result of this research indicated that there are some differences in the learning result using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the Discovery-Inquiry model on the 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sinjai year 2020/2021The average grades of the class using the Problem Based Learning model was higher than the Discovery-Inquiry model. This result indicates that the Problem Based Learning model is better than the Discovery-Inquiry model.

Abstract

In general, solving the two-fold integral of trigonometric functions is not easy to do analytically. Therefore, we need a numerical method to get the solution. Numerical methods can only provide solutions that approach true value. Thus, a numerical solution is also called a close solution. However, we can determine the difference between the two (errors) as small as possible. Numerical settlement is done by consecutive estimates (iteration method). The numerical method used in this study is the Romberg method. Romberg's integration method is based on Richardson's extrapolation expansion, so that there is a calculation of the integration of functions in two estimating ways I (h1) and I (h2) resulting in an error order on the result of the completion increasing by two, so it needs to be reviewed briefly about how the accuracy of the method. The results of this study indicate that the level of accuracy of the Romberg method to the analytical method (exact) will give the same value, after being used in several simulations.

Abstract

Social Science textbooks tend to be less dynamic and integrative with Islamic values and local culture. This research is aimed to compose an integrated social science learning textbook which is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ nationalism character. Type of research and development (R&D) with 4D model procedures (define, design, develop and disseminate) to fulfill the procedure of development. The developed textbook that fulfills scientists’ validity result and its practical use as the participants’ valuation and the implementation of learning. It can enhance students’ nationalism characters and contribute to learning on the character education program, preventive action, enhance the understanding of social, religious, and cultural life values and it should be widely recognized by educators.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di SDN Pahampa khususnya kelas V  siswa cenderung bersifat pasif, seperti mencatat, diam dan mendengarkan, sehingga hasil prestasi belajar masih kurang dari Standar Ketuntasan Belajar Minimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena rendahnya sikap percaya diri para siswa dalam pembelajaran. Maka dari itu perlu inovasi pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam menyajikan materi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan sikap percaya diri siswa kelas V SDN Pahampa Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learningn (PBL). Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan melalui 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Pahampa . Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase sikap percaya diri siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II. Nilai pencapaian sikap percaya diri dalam 3 aspek indikator penilaian pada pra siklus yaitu pada aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan 20%, Aspek kemandirian 20 %, keberanian dalam bertindak 30 % dan rata-ratanya mencapai 23% atau hanya 2 siswa yang memiliki sikap percaya diri, siklus I aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan menjadi 51%, aspek kemandirian 48 % dan aspek keberanian dalam bertindak menjadi 47% dengan rata-rata 48 % atau sekitar 5 siswa menjadi percaya diri. pada siklus II I aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan menjadi 80%, aspek kemandirian 80 % dan aspek keberanian dalam bertindak menjadi 90% dengan rata-rata 83 % atau sekitar 9 siswa menjadi percaya diri dari keseluruhan 11 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Pbroblem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan sikap percaya diri siswa
