Abstract

Indonesia is one of the most multicultural countries in the world. This fact can be seen from the sociocultural and geographically so diverse and widespread. Multicultural education offers an alternative through the implementation of educational strategies and concepts based on the utilization of the diversity that exists in society, especially for the students such as have ethnic diversity, culture, language, religion, social status, gender, ability, age, etc.. In multicultural education, teachers are not only required to master but also teach  professionally the subjects taught. More than that, an educator must also be able to instill the values of multicultural education such as democracy, humanism, and pluralism as well as instill religious values to the students. In turn, the resulting out-put of the school are not only proficient in accordance with the disciplines practiced, but also able to apply the values of understanding and respect for diversity.  Keywords: multicultural education, diversity and religious

Abstract

The implementation of clinical supervision of madrasah principals aims to shape the performance of educators becoming more professional in carrying out their functions as supervisors. The madrasa head must be able to master his duties and carry out his duties properly, he is responsible for all madrasa activities regulating the teaching and learning process, regulating matters relating to student affairs, business, finance and regulating relations with the community. In a management it is explained that one of the most important aspects in an organization is the way a person leads to the organization being led, a good organization will produce excellent results starting from the structure, human resources, and others. While the nature of leadership is the activity of leading the process of influencing subordinates or others. Formulation of the problem: Based on the background of the problem above, then the problem is "How is the head of the madrasa conducting clinical supervision on improving the performance of educators in MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung? " This study uses a qualitative approach to describe the problem and focus of research. Based on the research and analysis,  the researchers concluded that the process of clinical supervision by the headmaster of madrasa at MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung, had been carried out. In carrying out their duties the madrasa head has carried out several stages of clinical supervision including the initial meeting stage, the observation stage and the final meeting stage.

Abstract

This research on character building of students through the farming gardening project aims to reveal: 1) Planning for school and community cooperation through farming gardening projects at SD Islam At Tamam 2) Implementation of school and community collaboration through farming gardening projects at SD Islam At Tamam 3 ) The impact of the farming gardening projects at SD Islam At Tamam is for the character building of students. This activity involves the principle of teaching staff, landowners, guardians of students and students. The implementation of the Farming Gardening project is led directly by the Principal of SD Islam At Tamam and is always accompanied by cultivating attitudes and morals, by continuing to maintain relationships between all parties involved. the impact on changes in the character of students in a more positive direction, such as collaboration, work hard, responsible, diligent, independent, sensitive to the environment, economic, entrepreneurial, sd become a benchmark for the success of farming gardening projects.Keywords: Farming Gardening, School and Community Collaboration

Abstract

  Oki DermawanFakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan IAIN Raden Intan Lampungokidermawan76@yahoo.co.id  Abstract Participation of parents in the school should take place at all educational institutions in Indonesia, including in Islamic educational institutions located in Bandar Lampung. The purpose of this study is determine the condition of participation of parents at the school  in Bandar Lampung, a case study in Kuttab al Fatih Elementary School  Bandar Lampung. Knowing the forms of participation of parents in educate their children together with the school. and determine the factors supporting or inhibiting the participation of parents. This study using a qualitative approach with case study design. The subject of research  are: parents, teachers, and school websites. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Validity using triangulation checking and triangulation methods. Data analysis technique is interactive analysis by Miles and Hurberman. Based on the results of this research, the participation of parents in Kuttab al Fatih  Elementary School Bandar Lampung are: parent monthly meeting and  involved in several school activities. Parents have not been involved in make decisions about the school. Another form of parent participation is payment of a monthly school fee, also guiding the children at home through a module that has been set up by the school. Parental understanding of the importance of participating in educate the children is still not all parents are aware and have not become a necessity, it because not all parent are join the “Whatsapp” group that provide by the school. Keywords: Parents’ participation, education, elementary  school

Abstract

Discipline is one part of educational character that needs to be instilled to the children since primary school. Application of discipline could deliver through various activities, such as entering the class and when performing congregational prayers, obey the agreement rules and orderly in line up. The purpose of this study is finding out the discipline at Ar Raudhah elementary school, how to apply discipline to the students and what factors are causes of indiscipline in this school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach with observation, interviews and documentation as data collection techniques. Miles and Huberman model is the data analysis technique, three steps include, namely: data reduction, data presentation and verification. While the validity test of the data uses triangulation with the same source but use a different method. The result shows us that students had consistently carried out the worship in schools such as memorizing prayers, hadiths and verses of the Quran, Dhuha, and Zuhr prayers. However, there are some students still need to be motivated furthermore they don't play when performing worship. The most common factor for indiscipline is whenever parents still think that learning is in the classroom activity, later on some of parents leave their children lately. Here we need parental involvement in instilling discipline of the students. Keywords: Discipline in elementary school, Islamic school, worship discipline

Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung is one of the private schools that implements student grouping program management, with the course classes method for students. This study aimed to know about: 1)the planning of course program at SMP Muhammadyah 3 Bandar Lampung; 2)the implementation of course program at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung; and 3)the evaluation of course program at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung.The type of research was descriptive qualitative with data sources taken from the school principal, vice principal for curriculum, vice principal for student affair and vice principal for Islam, Muhammadiyah and Arabic language. Data collection techniques were taken from interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis procedures consisted of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The data validity was tested by triangulation, analysis and drawing conclusions.The results of this study were: first, the planning for student grouping program at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung wasdeveloped inthe meeting at the beginning of school year; and second, this implementation of the course was doneonce a week in the last hour after the school hour. The program consisted of Tahfidz class for memorizing verses of the Quran, with a target of adding 3 juz of memorization from the previous memorization. Meanwhile, the Arabic and English classes taught poetry, speech, conversation, debate, singing, games, news reading and storytelling. All of which were also prepared for competition, in addition to the main goal of the school to give students life skill in foreign languages. Third, the evaluation of the student grouping program was done during the school meetingat the end of the semester. A final test was given as the assessmentof the students and the results were included in the report card.
