Abstract

A prototype of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) based TiO2 nanoparticles and mulberry (morrus) extract as dye sensitizer on the ITO glass substrate has been produced. The study aims to determine the difference between the use of gel electrolyte and liquid electrolyte on its influence on DSSC performance. Sandwich cells were made consisting of a working electrode in the form of a conductive glass ITO deposited with TiO2 which was sensitized by a dye of mulberry extract, the opposite electrode in the form of a conductive glass ITO with carbon deposited, and the electrolyte in the middle of the two electrodes were liquid and one was gel. Irradiation was carried out on both samples by lighting halogen lamps. Tested the characteristics of voltage-time and current-time in both samples. The results obtained for higher voltage and current values in samples with liquid electrolytes, but for the period of stability the samples with gel electrolytes showed better performance.

Abstract

Improving efficiency and quality in farming activities is important reason of developing technology to support agriculture. Technology in agriculture such as image processing, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Artificial Lighting gives increasing trends. Artificial lighting technology has high impact to support agriculture in an area that has low sun light intensity such as in rainy season. Farmer has a difficulty to cultivating plant especially in early stage in rainy season. This problem happen because of the intensity of sun light is very minimum. Artificial lighting is a technology to solve early stage cultivating problem in rainy season. This technology can support agriculture for cultivating plant with minimum sun light. Artificial lighting contains light emitting diode (LED) that is laid out as an array. This research goal is to make an artificial lighting prototype to support early stage cultivating. Pakcoy is a plant that used to observe artificial lighting impact for early stage Pakcoy cultivation. This research shows Pakcoy plant placed in the prototype gives significant growth compared with a plant which placed in low light room. Pakcoy plant in artificial lighting gives 2 – 4 leaves, the height is 1.5 – 5cm, and from 18 seeds 10 is grow. This research can conclude that artificial lighting prototype can support early stage Pakcoy cultivation.

Abstract

Indoor air quality needs attention, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic because the majority of activities are carried out indoors. The air in the room must be protected from the threat of harmful virus and bacterial contaminants. One such innovation is placing diffuser in the room. Diffuser is a device that converts liquid into gas particles in the air. To reduce harmful virus contamination, a natural antiseptic liquid is filled into the diffuser, one of which is papermint essential oil, which can provide freshness in the room. Air quality is monitored with internet of things (IoT) technology so that users can easily control air quality with just a PC/gadget. The gas output from the diffuser is detected by a gas sensor that is connected to the wemos board so that the data can be connected to the internet cloud. To obtain optimal air quality data, the placement of gas sensors in the area around the diffuser as a point of observation needs to be considered because the distribution of gas in the air is influenced by the vertical wind speed in the room, this can affect the quality of the data generated. This study aims to determine the optimal observation point on an IoT-based diffuser so that the resulting air quality data is more accurate. In this study the gas sensor was placed at a distance of 15 and 25 cm from the diffuser. The direction of the gas sensor placement was adjusted according to the angle of the full circle ranging from 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, 225°, 270°, 315°, and 0°. The distribution of gas is influenced by the vertical wind speed in the room causing the air quality data at a vertical angle to always have the same pattern. From the results obtained, the optimal observation point as a reference for the position of the gas sensor to the diffuser is at an angle between 135°-180° as well as at an angle between 315° -0°.

Abstract

Telah dihasilkan prototipe Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) berbasis TiO2 nanopartikel  dengan elektrolit gel dan dye sensitizer berupa ekstrak buah murbei (morus) pada substrat kaca ITO. TiO2 orde nano berfase anatase dengan besar ukuran kristal 10,9 nm telah berhasil disintesis melalui metode koprepsipitasi. Dalam penelitian ini sel difabrikasi menggunakan kaca konduktif ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) dan berhasil dikarakterisasi pengaruh elektrolit gel terhadap sel. Karakterisasi DSSC menunjukkan performansi DSSC yang dihasilkan, didapat dengan nilai efisiensi sebesar 0,0724% dan fill factor sebesar 0,921 ketika ISC 597 μA, VOC 77 mV, IMPP 580 μA, dan VMPP 73 mV. Penggunaan elektrolit gel pada DSSC mampu memberikan ketahanan pemakaian yang lama, kestabilan tegangan, serta kestabilan arus yang sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Meningkatnya perubahan iklim di daerah perkotaan yang cenderung semakin panas mendorong meningkatnya penggunaan AC di kalangan masyarakat. Penggunaan AC yang terus menerus dapat menimbulkan dampak buruk bagi kesehatan kulit salah satunya adalah kulit menjadi kering atau tidak lembab. Untuk mengurangi dampak tersebut tanpa menghentikan penggunaan AC, maka penggunaan humidifier sangat dianjurkan untuk ruangan ber-AC. Pada penelitian ini, digunakan ESP32 yang telah dihubungkan dengan sensor DHT sebagai mikrokontroler yang akan memantau perubahan suhu dan kelembaban ruangan ber-AC dengan humidifier yaitu alat yang berfungsi sebagai pelembab udara dengan cara menyemprotkan uap air ke udara. Adapun parameter suhu yang digunakan pada ruangan agar kulit tidak kering yaitu 18-22oC . Penelitian ini menggunakan rentan waktu selama 3 hari dalam penggunaan humidifier pada ruangan ber-AC dapat mengatasi kulit kering. Perubahan keadaan kulit menjadi lembab ini ditunjukan dengan pengukuran kadar kelembaban pada kulit yang menggunakan Skin Analyzer yang menunjukan presentase kelembaban kulit 43-46% . Kulit yang semakin lembab tidak bersisik.

Abstract

Fever is one of the symptoms of a person with Covid-19. Body temperature must be checked e before entering crowded areas such as schools, offices, shops, and hospitals. It is a mandatory protocol that must be done. One of the tools that can be used to check body temperature is a thermal camera. Thermal cameras have the disadvantage of a high temperature reading error. This is because the thermal camera used has a low resolution. This study aims to reduce the value of the temperature reading error on the thermal camera using the linear regression method. The linear regression method is able to reduce the error rate of temperature readings by 5.27% at 36 ° C reading. The reduction in reading error also occurred by 5.27% at 37 ° C and 6.44% at 38 ° C. Based on the results obtained, this study shows that linear regression can be applied to thermal cameras and provides a decrease in the error rate of temperature readings on thermal cameras

Abstract

After people died from infections during the COVID-19 epidemic, this attracted a lot of attention. COVID-19 causes symptoms such as fever, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath, and others. Many deaths are asymptomatic, which makes the problem even bigger. Therefore, real-time system monitoring is needed. Monitoring will be carried out about measuring body temperature and oxygen saturation in patients. Monitoring body temperature is necessary because it can detect symptoms of COVID-19 in patients earlier. The concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) is to enable devices to send and receive data over an internet network. The monitoring system to be built uses NodeMCU ESP8266, DS18B20 sensor, and MAX30100 sensor. Data communication is used in the exchange of information using WiFi. Applications made using MIT App Inventor are used to view body temperature and oxygen saturation data. This system is expected to reduce the number of deaths due to COVID-19. DS18B20 sensor has a sensor accuracy of 99,73% and an average error of 0,27%. MAX30100 sensor has an accuracy rate of 99,18% and an average error of 0,82%. Delay test results show an average of 155,57 ms, and packet loss test results show an average of 0%. The result of a system that has been tested said that both sensors can read well.

Abstract

Internet merupakan hal penting yang tidak terelakkan lagi, baik di perkotaan maupun di pedesaan. Masyarakat cenderung membutuhkan internet untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari baik itu sebagai media komunikasi melalui jaringan komunikasi elektronik maupun sebagai media pemenuhan mata pencaharian pokok. Desa melung merupakan desa wisata dan memiliki banyak UMKM yang dikelola oleh masyarakat desa. Masyarakat Desa Melung memiliki permasalahan yaitu belum memiliki pemahaman mengenai pemanfaatan internet secara maksimal terutama dalam hal melakukan pemasaran untuk desa wisata dan pemasaran produk UMKM masyarakat. Belum maksimalnya pemahaman warga desa melung dalam memanfaatkan internet serta kurangnya pemahaman warga mengenai internet terutama dalam hal pemasaran, melatar belakangi kegiatan sosialisasi dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah workshop, dengan materi mengenai literasi teknologi, pengenalan internet, dan internet marketing. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dan juga hasil survei, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat sesudah dilaksanakan workshop menunjukan baik sekali, ditunjukan dengan nilai rata-rata pemahaman 4.3 dari skala 1-5 dan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang pemasaran menggunakan internet ditunjukan dengan kenaikan persentase kenaikan pemahaman masyarakat berkisar dari 10 – 24 % dan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 17.2%, peningkatan persentase terkecil yaitu pada pernyataan ketiga sebanyak 10% tentang keaktifan masyarakat dalam menggunakan internet, sedangkan peningkatan persentase terbesar pada penyataan keempat sebanyak 24% tentang pemahaman internet dapat digunakan dalam proses pemasaran. Dengan demikian, warga masih perlu diberikan sosialiasi dan pelatihan mendalam sehingga masyarakat Desa Melung dapat menggunakan internet untuk pemasaran

Abstract

Perkembangan Information and Communication Technology (ICT) membuat proses belajar mengajar dapat dilaksanakan di mana saja dan kapan saja dengan menggunakan Learning Management System (LMS). Penggunaan LMS di Indonesia saat ini masih didominasi di tingkat perguruan tinggi termasuk di Purwokerto. Salah satu lembaga pendidikan tingkat menengah di Purwokerto yang belum dapat menerapkan LMS adalah SMA IT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyah Purwokerto. Hambatan yang ditemui di SMA ini adalah masalah teknis untuk pemasangan aplikasi dan banyak staf pengajar yang belum mengetahui tentang penggunaan LMS. Salah satu media LMS saat ini yang banyak digunakan adalah moddle yang diharapkan dapat diterapkan di sekolah ini. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat, telah diberikan pendampingan teknis mulai dari instalasi hingga penerapan moddle dan pelatihan mengenai penggunaan fitur-fitur di moddle. Berdasarkan hasil survey didapatkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat keefektifan penggunaan LMS ini adalah 8,03 (skala 10) dengan poin keefektifan tertinggi sebesar 8,61 untuk variasi aktivitas LMS untuk membantu dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran kepada siswa sementara itu poin terendah sebesar 7,50 berkaitan dengan kemudahan dalam tahapan membuat aktivitas pada LMS.
