Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of strengthening the religious character education of mosque-based students in madrasas. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and study documentation. Data analysis used qualitative analysis at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Bandung. The results showed that the management of mosque-based character strengthening students had fulfilled management principles and was able to instill student character through worship activities. The design of activities to strengthen mosque-based character education that has been carried out includes thaharah, Duha praying, adhan, iqamah, recitation of asma alhusna, tadarus al-Quran, lectures, midday prayers, remembrance, and prayers. This activity is effectively able to develop the character of obedience, responsibility, discipline, cleanliness, neatness, trustworthy, confident, caring, brave and polite.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi manajemen penguatan pendidikan karakter religius peserta didik berbasis Mesjid di madrasah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen penguatan pendidikan karakter peserta didik berbasis masjid telah memenuhi prinsip manajemen dan mampu menanamkan karakter siswa melalui aktifitas ibadah. Desain aktivitas penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis mesjid yang telah dilakukan meliputi  thaharah, sholat Duha, adzan, iqamah, pembacaan asma alhusna, tadarus al-Quran, kuliah, sholat dzuhur , zikir, dan sholat. Kegiatan ini secara efektif mampu mengembangkan karakter kepatuhan, tanggung jawab, disiplin, kebersihan, kerapian, dapat dipercaya, percaya diri, peduli, berani dan sopan

Abstract

The main problem of this study is the unoptimal infrastructure management and lecturers' competence that impact on the low quality of Ma'had Aly Miftahul Huda Tasikmalaya graduates. This study is aimed to explain the quality strengthening of Ma'had Aly graduates through the optimization of infrastructure management and lecturer competence. Research on the quality of Ma'had Aly graduates has been carried out by other researchers as seen from the influence of lecturers' educational qualifications. This research is focused on investigating the influence of infrastructure management and lecturer competence in improving the quality of Ma'had Aly graduates. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method. The data analysis using product moment correlation analysis. The sample of this study was 50 students who graduated from 2019-2020 that were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The results of the study concluded that strengthening the quality of Ma'had Aly's education graduates could be done through optimization of infrastructure management and lecturer competence. Infrastructure management has a significant effect on the quality of graduates by 23.4%; Lecturer competence has a significant influence on the quality of graduates by 7.96%; and Infrastructure management and lecturer competence simultaneously had a significant effect on the quality of Ma'had Aly's graduates by 45.7%.

Abstract

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all aspects of life. One of the sectors affected is education. Educational activities that were initially carried out regularly, due to the Covid-19 pandemic all educational activities were carried out online. This change raises various kinds of stress in the educational institution organization. This study aims to explore stress management at MA Al-Hidayah during the Covid 19 pandemic by reviewing its form, settlement strategy and impact. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation study. The results showed that there were three forms of stress experienced by school principals, teachers, students and parents of students at MA Al-Hidayah during the Covid 19 pandemic, namely stress in the form of frustration, pressure and change. Strategies taken to deal with stress include a) eliminating stressors or stressors, b) controlling the consequences of stress, c) changing individual perceptions of stressors, d) providing moral and social support. While the impact of stress refers to six aspects including a) psychological aspects, b) health aspects, c) performance aspects, d) cognitive aspects, e) emotional aspects and f) behavioral aspects. Abstrak: Pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada seluruh aspek kehidupan. Salah satu sektor yang terdampak adalah pendidikan. Kegiatan pendidikan yang mulanya dilaksanakan secara tetap muka, karena pandemi covid-19 seluruh kegiatan pendidikan dilaksanakan secara online. Perubahan ini memunculkan berbagai macam stress dalam organisasi lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplore manajemen stress di MA Al-Hidayah pada masa pandemi covid 19 dengan meninjau bentuk, strategi penyelesaian, dan dampaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat tiga bentuk stress yang dialami oleh kepala sekolah, guru, siswa dan orang tua siswa di MA Al-Hidayah pada masa pandemi covid 19 yaitu stress dalam bentuk frustasi, tekanan, dan perubahan. Strategi yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi stress tersebut di antaranya adalah dengan a) menghilangkan stressor atau pemicu stress, b) mengendalikan konsekuensi stress, c) mengubah persepsi individu terhadap stressor, d) memberikan dukungan moral dan sosial. Sedangkan dampak stress mengacu pada enam aspek di antaranya adalah a) aspek psikologis, b) aspek kesehatan, c) aspek kinerja, d) aspek kognitif, e) aspek emosi dan f) aspek perilaku Kata-kata kunci: Manajemen Stress, Madrasah Aliyah, Pandemi Covid 19

Abstract

Since the government has more powers and authorities and bigger sources in enforcing its powers, it seems dominant in producing policies on MD that favor its political interest. This study was aimed at investigating the educational policies on MD before and after the Law No. 4 of 1950 Jo No. 12 of 1954, the educational policies of the MD Act No. 2 Year 1989, and the educational policies of the MD under law No. 20 Year 2003. In addition, it also examined the government's policies on MD in Indonesia from the beginning of independence day (1945) to  (2017). The method used was descriptive qualitative including steps of collecting data, classifying the data, interpreting and presenting the data. This study found that the educational policies on MD were not made by the government to prioritize MD in national education system. The policies on MD education covering before and after the Law of education and teaching No. 4 1950 Jo No. 12 Year 1954, UUSPN No. 2 Year 1989, and UUSPN No. 20 Year 2003, has not supported MD as an integral part in the provision of national education system in Indonesia. They have favored the interests of central government so that they have caused the difficulties in its implementation by the public at the local level.

Abstract

This research aims to know and analyze the implementation of the internship/PLP program of Islamic Education Management (MPI) students at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. PLP/Internship is expected to improve the competence of MPI graduate students as candidates for prospective educators or educational professionals. Therefore, students, as one component in the development of educational institutions, need to understand and comprehend the context of empowerment and management of madrasas thoroughly. This research uses a qualitative case study method with natural paradigm. Data collection techniques are conducted by interview, observation, and document studies. The results of the research indicated that the internship / PLP program can improve the student capacity which includes improving personality, social, technique and managerial competencies. Students are able to manage and explore themselves in implementing various programs to advance Islamic Educational institutions (madrasas). On the other hand, students also need reinforcement and motivation to implement the internship program as a whole and efficiently.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the management of ICT-based Arabic learning. This study was designed to find the management of ICT-based Arabic learning in MA Daarul Uluum Majalengka. This study proposed that the integration of various fields of studies with ICT, including Arabic language learning, is undeniably vital to be enhanced in this digital era. However, the constraints experienced by some institutions, especially the educators, have not had a clear format of the use of ICT in the integration effort of the both disciplines. This study applied a qualitative research approach. The research method was descriptive method. The data were collected by conducting observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the techniques qualitative analysis. The results showed that the design of ICT-based Arabic learning model can be developed at MA Daarul Uluum Majalengka a communicative computer-based Arabic learning model. The materials and other learning tools are designed using a computer program. Through this kind of learning models, a teacher served as learning motivator and facilitator elaborating the materials that need clarification for the learners.

Abstract

This study is set forth from the existence of pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia which plays a central role within the socio-cultural environment construction of Indonesian society. In order to exist, today, the pesantren should be able to develop its intitution yet still maintaining its originality as the characteritics of the pesantren itself. The development strategy could be initiated through self-sustaining efforts which in fact bring a positive impact for pesantren. On the other hand, financial problems often threatens the existence of pesantren. The purpose of this research is to investigate the condition of boarding school Ar-Risalah Cijantung IV and economic initiatives developed by the boarding school. This research is a case study by employing qualitative approach. Data collecting techiques are done by interviews, observation and document study. The study found that economic initiatives that is conducted by the pesantren are livestock breeding, fishery, mining, agriculture and waste processing. Those initiatives have a positive impact on pesantren because they serve as other funding sources to support pesantren development without fully depend on government support. Those businesses also brought a positive impact for the community in the surrounding pesantren.

Abstract

This study was conducted to reveal the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication its effect on teacher organizational commitment. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method with a total sample of 28 teachers. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple correlation and regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication have a joint effect on the variable of teacher organizational commitment by 92.2% which means very strong. So it can be concluded that the better the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication, the better the teacher's organizational commitment.

Abstract

This research focuses on marketing management by Islamic boarding schools to improve their image. This study used a qualitative approach with six respondents who were then analyzed and assessed for the validity of the data using triangulation techniques at Islamic boarding schools in Bantul Regency. The results of the study show that: 1) the management of education service delivery at Islamic boarding schools has been running effectively, as evidenced by the increase in students every year; 2) factors that enhance the image of Islamic boarding schools include community support, the role of large foundations, and the commitment of Islamic boarding schools; 3) these factors are strengthened by the 4P concept of marketing mix strategy: product, promotion, process, and people; 4) media activities have an essential role during the marketing process; 5) special programs in Islamic boarding schools can also increase public interest; 6) the characteristics of each pesantren are the main attraction for the community's interest in pesantren. Furthermore, the image of the Islamic boarding school can be formed by implementing a marketing strategy by utilizing the marketing mix concept and can be built through good communication in every coordination.

Abstract

Pesantrens are often said to have received discriminatory treatment in Indonesian education politics, despite the fact that pesantrens have contributed positively to the development of education in Indonesia. But how is the Government's policy towards pesantren in Indonesia after Indonesia's independence? This article discusses this issue based on recent research results using a political (policy) and historical approach with descriptive methods. The technique of data collection is developed by documentation study on education policy in Indonesia, observation, as well as interviews. The study proves that the Government has dominated the policy towards pesantren where the pesantren policy is approved, accepted and implemented by government institutions. The research also concludes that since the inclusion of pesantren into By Law No. 20 Year 2003 on Indonesia’s National Education System, pesantren is in a vortex of attraction and interest between society and the Government. Pesantrens are treated discriminatively by the Government characterized by unclear implementation, regulation and budget allocation for these pesantrens. In essence, Pesantrens have not received the proper attention from the Government.Keywords: policy, education, pesantren, IndonesiaPesantren sering dikatakan mendapatkan perlakuan diskriminatif dalam politik pendidikan Indonesia, walaupun pesantren telah berkontribusi positif pada perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia. Tapi bagaimanakah sebenarnya kebijakan Pemerintah terhadap pesantren di Indonesia setelah Indonesia merdeka? Artikel ini membahas isu ini berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan politik (kebijakan) dan sejarah dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi terhadap kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia, observasi, dan juga wawancara. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa Pemerintah telah mendominasi kebijakan terhadap pesantren di mana kebijakan pesantren disetujui, diterima dan dilaksanakan oleh pranata pemerintah. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sejak dimasukkannya pesantren ke dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, maka pesantren berada dalam pusaran tarik menarik kepentingan antara masyarakat dengan Pemerintah. Pesantren diperlakukan diskriminatif oleh Pemerintah ditandai dengan ketidakjelasan implementasi, regulasi dan alokasi anggaran untuk pesantren. Intinya, Pesantren belum mendapatkan perhatian yang seharusnya dari Pemerintah.Kata Kunci: kebijakan, pendidikan, pesantren, Indonesia
