Abstract

Cibuntu, Kuningan di Jawa Barat memiliki berbagai potensi pariwisata.  Daya tarik wisata tersebut dapat dikelompokkan menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu wisata budaya, wisata alam, dan wisata buatan.  Ketiga obyek wisata tersebut bersifat unik.  Kekhasannya ini melekat sebagai identitas mayarakat yang tinggal di desa Cibuntu.  Perasaan seseorang yang memiliki keterikatan dengan suatu tempat disebut rasa kebangsaan atau yang dikenal dengan istilah nasionalisme.  Perilaku masyarakat terhadap potensi wisata yang dimiliki dapat menggambarkan rasa nasionalisme masyarakat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa keterkaitan kebanggaan masyarakat desa dan kesadaran memelihara budaya yang dimiliki desa mereka.  Responden berjumlah 45 orang penduduk desa.  Penelitian menggunakan disain penelitian deskriptif.  Sampel dipilih secara acak sederhana.  Data dikumpulkan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner.  Analisis meliputi uji validitas dan reliabilitas, analisis frekuensi, serta analisis mean dan korelasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua responden merasa bangga terhadap kekayaan budaya, alam, serta wisata buatan di desa mereka.  Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa responden sudah merasa memelihara budaya, alam, serta wisata buatan yang terdapat di desa mereka tetapi penerapanannya harus lebih ditingkatkan. Kata Kunci: Perilaku masyarakat desa,   potensi pariwisata. ABSTRACTThere are many rural tourism resources in Cibuntu, Kuningan, West Java.  It could be grouped into three items. They are cultural resources, natural resources, and human made tourism. Those resources are unique. This uniqueness  is tied to people identity  who live there. The feeling of someone who are attached to a certain place could be called as nasionalism. The rural tourism behavior of their tourism resources might describe a sense of their nasionalism. This research aimed to analyze the link of rural tourism behavior and their willingness to maintain their tourism resources at the village. The respondents were forty-five of rural residents. The study made use of descriptive research design.   The sample were choosen by simple random sampling.  The data were collected by distributing questionaires.  The analysis included validity and reliability test, frequency analysis, mean, and correlation analysis. The study found that all respondents were proud of their own culture, nature, and human made tourism.  It’s also found that all respondents have had a willingness to take care of their own culture, nature, and human made tourism but it must be improved in its implementation.  Keywords: Tourism resources, rural tourim behavior,  and pride

Abstract

ABSTRAKSumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu aset yang penting bagi suatu organisasi.  Sumber daya manusia yang merealisasikann visi perusahaan. Pelatihan merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas sumber daya manusia.  Ketika kapabilitas sumber daya manusia meningkat maka kompetensi karyawan akan semakin baik. Dalam rangka melakukan pengembangan keahlian sumber daya manusia perlu adanya tempat pelatihan yang layak.  Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasikan peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia melalui praktek kerja di hotel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan diolah untuk mendapatkan hasil rata – rata. Responden penelitian adalah 48 mahasiswa program studi D3 Perhotelan dan D4 Perhotelan di Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Trisakti yang melaksanakan praktek kerja lapangan di hotel yang berlokasi di Pulau Bali.  Mereka melakukan training selama 6 bulan dan 12 bulan pada tahun 2016/2017. Mereka dipilih dengan teknik probability sampling.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kompetensi sebesar 30,12%  untuk bekerja dibawah tekanan,  29,60% untuk bekerja dengan berbeda budaya,  29,41% untuk mempelajari pengetahuan diluar bidang ilmu,  28,19% untuk kompetensi manajemen waktu, dan 27,45% untuk kompetensi pengetahuan dibidang ilmu. Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Praktek Kerja Lapangan, Hotel ABSTRACTHuman resources are one of the important aspects for an organization.  They are the people who reach the organizational vision.  Training is one of the ways to improve human resources capabilities.  While the capabilities of human resources improve, the human resources’ competencies will increase as well.  In order to develop human resources’ competencies, there will need an appropriate place for doing training activities.  The aim of the research was identifying human resources competencies improvement by doing the training in the hotel.  The research method was quantitative descriptive.  The respondents were 48 persons of D3 and  D4 of Hotel Vocational College Students of Trisakti School of Tourism who had training in Bali Island. The respondents were trained in the hotel for 6 and 12 months in 2016/2017. They’re chosen by probability sampling technique.  The research result found that there were competencies improvement of 21(thenty-one) competency element.  The four highest competencies were the ability to work under pressure, to work in cultural diversity, knowledge improvement of outside  of their own discipline, time management, and knowledge improment of in their own discipline. Keywords: Competency, On The Job Training, Hotel

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze “The Impact of Tourism on Village Society”. The methodology of the study was quantitative research and descriptive analysis. The research was located in Sumurugul village. Respondents of this research were 92 residents. The data was collected by using convenience sampling. The data was analyzed by using validity and reliability test, frequency, and descriptive (mean) analysis. The study found that there is the positive impact of tourism on village society in Sumurugul in the point of economics, social, and environment aspect. The implication of this study showed that tourism should be one of the alternatives to develop a village.

Abstract

Hotel is a labor-intensive industry which until now still requires a lot of human resources in its work operations. The nature of hotel is open for 24 hours to serve guests, especially in operational departments. Overall hotel employees tend not to last long at work. Some employees state that their decision to leave, due to incompatibility with the work environment. This study aimed to analyze the impact of resilience on hotel employees’ engagement in Jakarta. The study was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach. Research respondents were hotel employees in Jakarta area. Data was collected by convenience sampling, by distributing questionnaire which consisted of respondents’ profiles and statement of variable X variable (resilience) and Y variable (work engagement). The data was analyzed by using validity and reliability test, descriptive (frequency and mean), Pearson correlation, coefficient determination and simple linear regression test. The study found that there was a strong relationship between resilience and work engagement. The higher employees’ resilience is the higher employee engagement will be.

Abstract

Meskipun sebagian besar operasional pekerjaan rutin pada berbagai bisnis telah tergantikan oleh teknologi, namun pada bisnis perhotelan masih membutuhkan sejumlah orang untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan operasionalnya. Ciri khas industri perhotelan adalah pada jam kerja operasionalnya. Bisnis hotel buka 24 jam dan berusaha sangat efisien dalam mempekerjakan orang. Jumlah orang terbatas, dan biasanya dibagi secara bergiliran. Karyawan yang terbatas itu harus melayani tamu tanpa keluhan. Kondisi ini menimbulkan tekanan bagi atasan, sehingga dapat menimbulkan sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan untuk mencapai kinerja yang sangat baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan terhadap keterikatan kerja karyawan hotel di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Karyawan hotel dipilih sebagai responden dengan convenience sampling. Responden diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner mengenai profil mereka dan persepsi mereka tentang sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan serta dampaknya terhadap niat karyawan untuk mengundurkan diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, deskriptif (frekuensi dan mean), dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasilnya adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan terhadap niat karyawan untuk mengundurkan diri dari hotel di Jakarta. Kata kunci: sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan, niat untuk mengundurkan diri, karyawan, hotel

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dengan konsep service learning bertujuan untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar melalui penggunaan media belajar inovatif bagi siswa  SDN 05 Pesanggarahan Jakarta Selatan. Narasumber dalam kegiatan PKM adalah tiga orang dosen, dan tujuh mahasiswa Diploma 4 Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan Sekolah Pariwisata Trisakti (tim).  Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan November – Desember  2018 di SDN 05. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan Pelatihan menggunakan media belajar yang menarik dan menyenangkan dengan memilih topik mengenal hewan, nomor, bentuk, dan warna dalam bahasa Inggris. Hasil Kegiatan PKM menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini dapat meningkatkan semangat belajar,   bekerja sama, dan bersaing untuk menjadi yang terbaik pada siswa-siswa peserta.  Selain itu kegiatan PKM ini memberikan isnpirasi kepada pendidik SDN 05 untuk memberikan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan.

Abstract

Online learning is carried out in all higher education after the COVID-19 pandemic. The online learning causes forced online learning preparation. The research aimed to measure student attitudes about online learning, student readiness to learn online, and the influence of student attitudes about online learning on student readiness to learn online. The research method was descriptive quantitative and the sample was chosen by simple random sampling. The data were obtained from 311 students of the hospitality management diploma 4 of academic year 2017 to 2020 at one of the tourism school in Indonesia who had to carry out online learning. The collected data were tested using validity and reliability test, descriptive test (frequency and mean), correlation, simple linear regression test and t-test. The result of the mean test showed that students do not like online learning even though they have a perception of readiness to learn online. This result contradicted the results of the simple linear regression test and t-test which concluded that students 'attitudes of online learning positively and significantly affected students' readiness to learn online. The study implication that it is necessary to create efforts to change the attitude of being less accepting of online learning activities into an attitude of accepting online learning for students.

Abstract

The role of social capital in Community-based tourism (CBT) to reach local communities’ welfare is being the concern of tourism activities. Previous research found that social capital approach could be used to achieve sustainability and prosperity. Mutually beneficial trust and collective action among the member of the community as aspects of social capital played an important role to take off CBT. The study aimed to analyze the role of trust and collective action as elements of social capital on the local community of CBT Kampung Tajur and to examine the link between trust and collective action. This study was conducted on a sample of Kampung Tajur community which was appointed as CBT because its willingness to take collective action. The result showed that trust was a robust predictor of attending a religious meeting, participating in managing homestay, and joining for community work. On the other hand, the absence of attending a formal meeting and community meeting conducted by the community head did not have a link to trust among the community member.  Our findings suggested that due to well implementation of social capital role in terms of  trust and collective action, the community’s members must be encouraged as the subject in tourism activity by enhancing knowledge, empowerment, and inspiration based on local wisdom.Keywords: Collective action, Community-based Tourism, social capital, trust.

Abstract

Salah satu SMP yang berada di kota Tangerang Selatan dengan fasilitas yang sagat terbatas adalah SMP Terbuka Mandiri Teuku Umar Baitul Maal (SMP Baitul Maal). Guru-guru di SMP Baitul Maal belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan mereka. Jumlah guru-guru di SMP Baitul Maal sebanyak 7(tujuh) orang guru, dengan rentang usia 25 tahun sampai dengan 40 tahun dan latar belakang non-keguruan. Menurut Kepala Sekolah SMP Baitul Maal, Bapak Edi Supriadi, masalah yang terjadi di SMP Baitul Maal antara lain: (1) belum ada kesempatan menyelenggarakan program pengembangan diri.; (2) Perlu penyegaran tentang teknik berkomunikasi Guru-Siswa secara verbal dengan baik.; dan (3) Perlu peningkatan keterampilan dalam menyiapkan materi presentasi yang menyenangkan. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah (1) memberikan wawasan kepada guru-guru SMP Baitul Maal agar melakukan pengembangan diri dengan konsep Johary Window; (2) melatih guru-guru SMP Baitul Maal berkomunikasi secara verbal dan visual yang baik dengan siswa; dan (3) melatih guru-guru SMP Baitul Maal tentang teknik menyiapkan materi presentasi yang menarik. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi, presentasi, tanya jawab, dan demostrasi. Hasil PKM yang dicapai adalah (1) peningkatan wawasan guru untuk melakukan pengembangan diri dengan konsep Johary Window; (2) peningkatan keterampilan guru berkomunikasi secara verbal dengan siswa, dan (3) guru mampu menyiapkan materi presentasi yang menyenangkan.
