Abstract

Introduction: One of the complaints that is often felt by pregnant women in the third trimester is back pain. Back pain occurs in the lumbar sacral area and usually the pain will increase with gestational age. There are several non-pharmacological therapies that are often used to minimize pain, namely effleurage massage techniques and acupressure therapy. Purpose: This study was to determine the effect of the combination of effleurage massage technique and acupressure therapy on back pain in third trimester pregnant women. Methods: Quasi-experimental research method, one group pretest and posttest design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling obtained 24 third trimester pregnant women with back pain. Data collection was carried out in May-August 2021. Data collection used a numerical pain intensity questionnaire VAS (Visual Analog Scale) intensity (0-10). The effleurage massage technique was carried out in a right tilted position, then continued with acupressure therapy by pressing the BL 23 meridian point 3 times a week. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: There was a decrease in the mean of back pain before that was 2.83 and after 1.46 with a mean difference of 1.37. Wilcoxon test results obtained sig value is <0.0001. Conclusion: The combination of effleurage massage technique and acupressure therapy is effective in reducing back pain in third trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Postpartum blues is one of three categories of psychological disorders in the postpartum period. Symptoms caused by mothers are easy to cry, feel lost, feel they have more responsibility, fatigue, unstable mood and difficulty concentrating, and feelings of mothers who are more sensitive to irritability. In addition, postpartum blues can also lead to disturbances in eating and sleeping patterns in postpartum mothers. In various references, it is stated that the onset of postpartum blues is influenced by several factors, including a history of childbirth. Objective: This research is aimed to analyze the relationship between a history of normal delivery with intervention with the incidence of postpartum blues in postpartum mothers in the working area of The Public Health Center of Wara of Palopo City. Method: This research is quantitative research with an analytical survey method using cross-sectional study approach. The sample is the seventh to the fourteenth day of postpartum mothers with accidental sampling technique with a total sample of 31 people. Data analysis using Chi-Square test with a degree of significance 95% (α=0.05). Result: There is a significant relationship between the history of normal delivery with intervention with the incidence of postpartum blues in postpartum mothers at the Public Health Center of Wara, Palopo City (p = 0.014). Conclusion: A history of normal delivery with good measures of labor induction, rupture, and episiotomy is associated with the incidence of postpartum blues in postpartum mothers at the Public Health Center of Wara, Palopo City.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Produksi ASI yang sedikit dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya rangsangan hormon prolaktin dan oksitosin. Kondisi tersebut dialami juga oleh ibu yang melahirkan dengan Sectio Caesaria. Ibu yang mengalami Sectio Caesaria seringkali mengalami masalah dalam menyusui karena kurangnya produksi ASI dan keterlambatan menyusui. Tujuan Penelitian : dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas kombinasi pemberian ekstrak daun katuk dan tekhnik marmet terhadap produktifitas ASI pada ibu post sectio cesarea dirumah sakit Mega Buana Palopo. Metode Penelitian: Metode dan tahapan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian jenis quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah post test only design with control group. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa hipotesis mayor peneliti terbukti yang berarti intervensi kombinasi teknik marmet dan ekstrak daun katuk efektif meningkatkan produksi ASI ibu post seksio sesarea. Hasil : Hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan kelancaran produksi ASI antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan p value= 0,01 pada pengukuran terakhir sedangkan nilai OR= 2.667 Simpulan : ibu post seksio sesarea yang diberikan intervensi kombinasi teknik marmet dan Ekstrak daun katuk berpeluang 2,6 kali lebih besar produksi ASI nya lancar dibandingan dengan kelompok kontrol.
