Abstract

AbstrakHigh Order Thinking Skill atau HOTS merupakan suatu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa untuk menghadapi perkembangan abad 21. HOTS meliputi kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar melalui soal HOTS yang telah dirancang secara valid dan praktis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 120 siswa kelas 6 dari sekolah dasar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan materi dengan menggunakan evaluasi formatif. Data didapatkan melalui kajian pustaka terkait dengan pengembangan HOTS, kemampuan literal siswa, pengembangan soal PISA, dan penelitian tentang pengembangan soal matematika berbasis HOTS sebelumnya yang relevan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan soal HOTS yang divalidasi oleh 7 ahli dan guru matematika. Selain itu, soal juga divalidasi secara empiris melalui tes reliabilitas dan validitas. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan paket soal HOTS yang didesain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika siswa.AbstractHigh Order Thinking Skill or HOTS should be had by the students to face the 21st century. The goal of this research was to assess the mathematical problem solving of the students in primary school through HOTS task which was designed validly and practically. The subject of this study was 120 students of the 6th Grade from four different schools. The method used was research and development with formative evaluation. The data were collected through study literature relating to the HOTS development, students’ literal ability, PISA exercises development, and several related findings about mathematical studies of task development base on HOTS. This research developed HOTS task which was validated by 7 experts and mathematics teachers. Moreover, the tasks were also tested in empirical and reliability testing. The result of this research validly and practically produced HOTS tasks which was designed to improve the students’ mathematical ability.

Abstract

The lack of use of instructional media on the volume material for building cubic spaces in mathematics learning for grade 5 elementary schools. This study aimed to improve students' learning motivation on the volume material of cubes through learning media cubes beranak in mathematics learning in grade 5 elementary school. This research procedure used the ADDIE model development design consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The increasing of students learning motivation before and after using childbirth cube media based on questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the level of validity of this media based on the evaluation of material experts 81,6% with very valid validity criteria, 72,5% media experts with valid validity criteria, 89,3% expert learning implementation plan with very valid validity criteria, Expert Student Worksheet 91,6% with validity criteria very valid. Student responses to child cube media obtained an average value of 81,1% with a very good assessment category, the teacher's response to child cube media obtained a value of 100% with a very good assessment category. Based on the data on student learning motivation before using the media cubes, the average child was 53,61 with the enough category increased to 81,04 with the very high category after using the child cube media

Abstract

Implementation of the teaching and learning process in general still use conventional learning models so as to result in low mathematics learning outcomes of students, especially in the surrounding material and flat building area. This study aimed to measure the differences in learning outcomes of class IV students through STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) learning model and conventional learning. This study used quasi-experimental quantitative research design by looking at the differences in mathematical value results in pre-test and post-test between control class and experimental class. Based on the data analysis, the results of the study showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of mathematics students of class IV who use the learning model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and conventional learning. This was evidenced by the average value of the control class which increased by 9.88% from 54.36 to 64.24 while the average value of the class in the experimental class reached 24.92% from 55.80 to 80.72.

Abstract

Reflective thinking is known as assessing what they know, what they need to know, and how they bridge that gap during learning situations. Relating what students knew with what they learn today is not easy, sometimes they forget or just cannot make a connection between it. This study will analyze how the students actively participating in reflective thinking by creating project-based learning on statistics lesson based on design research. Thirty-nine engineering students, in a group of four, were asked to make their own data, analyze and transfer it into a poster to inform the readers about the use of statistics in daily life. This study used the measurement of reflective thinking scales by Kember to analyze students answer through the worksheet and instructional activity. The instructional activity succeeds to reveals students thinking of all four skills; habitual action, understanding, reflection, and critical reflection. Furthermore, it also discovered the misuse of some terms when used in daily life.

Abstract

Weight measurement mathematics was an important material for weighing objects in everyday life. Based on the resulted of observations of students' scores on weight measurement 58% did not reach the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). This study aim to (1) developing Minitim Kabar media for 2nd grade; (2) knowing the feasibility of “Minitim Kabar" media; (3) knowing the increased in cognitive learning outcomes measuring weight in Class II SD students. This research was R&D which includes 10 steps in research which include: research potentials and problems, design data, design validation, revision design, product testing, product revision, usage testing, product revision, product production. The expert tested subjects in this study were the media expert validator and the material expert validator, while the tested subjects were 6 students in the media trial and 9 students in the product trial. Data tested techniques using interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used quantitative data analysis techniques and qualitative data analysis. The resulted of this study indicate that the mini media had a high level of validity and attractiveness. The resulted of the validation of material experts were 92.3%, the resulted of the validation of media experts were 87.5%, and the proportion of student questionnaire responses was 100%. The increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes was 45.06. The N-gain test result of 0.65 was at a moderate level. Thus, the Minitim Kabar media was suitable for used as a thematic learning media to improve cognitive learning outcomes in 2nd grade on weight measurement matters.

Abstract

Distance learning is an option that the Indonesian government must choose when facing the covid-19 pandemic. This is done to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. This decision certainly caused various polemics and unpreparedness, including students of the PGSD UNIRA Malang Study Program. Therefore, this study was designed to determine the readiness of PGSD UNIRA Malang students in distance learning. This research uses descriptive observational method, with the number of respondents is 150 students. The results of this study indicate that UNIRA Malang PGSD Study Program students are ready to carry out distance learning to reduce the transmission rate of COVID-19, although in practice there are several internal and external obstacles.

Abstract

The goal of this research produces a set of HOT mathematics tasks with Indonesian heritage as a context that is valid and practical to assess the mathematical literacy of students in primary school. The participants of the study were 120 students in primary school. The data was collected through documentation, questionnaire, test result, and interviews. This is design research using a type of development research with formative evaluation. The mathematics task not only reviewed by 7 experts, who assess the context, content, and language of prototype but also beyond empirical evaluation of validation and reliability testing. The field test result showed that the HOT mathematics task has a potential effect on the mathematical literacy of primary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran prisma kata bergambar yang valid digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi Bahasa Indonesia, serta untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa melalui implementasi media pembelajaran prisma kata bergambar. Agar pembelajaran semakin efektif dan efisien serta mampu meningkatkan antusias dalam proses belajar mengajar, dan tidak membuat siswa bosan saat proses pembelajaran dengan adanya media pembelajaran ini dapat mendukung pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan penelitian jenis RnD (Research and Development). Produk yang dikembangkan adalah benda hidup dan tak hidup di sekitarku. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall yang memiliki 10 tahapan akan tetapi diseminasi tidak dilakukan karena keterbatasan biaya dan waktu. Kemampuan membaca diukur dengan hasil pretest dan posttest sedangkan respon siswa diukur melalui data hasil wawancara kepada siswa kelas I di SD Negeri 1 Randugading. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran PRISKABAR valid diperoleh persentase 95%. Respon siswa juga meningkat, hal ini dilihat dari hasil wawancara terhadap siswa terkait penggunaan media PRISKABAR. Serta untuk hasil pretest dan posttest diperoleh persentase 84% yang menunjukkan kemampuan membaca siswa meningkat dengan materi benda hidup dan tak hidup. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disarankan bagi pihak sekolah maupun guru untuk memaksimalkan dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan media pembelajaran sebagai media pendukung proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir kritis penting bagi mahasiswa, karena berpikir kritis tidak hanya menggambarkan kemampuan berpikir menurut aturan logika, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk menerapkan keterampilan tersebut pada masalah kehidupan nyata. Namun kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD UNIRA Malang tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan hasil ujian Mata Kuliah Matematika SD 2 kurang dari 50% mahasiswa dapat menjawab soal pemecahan masalah dengan tepat Hal ini dikarenakan mahasiswa belum terbiasa menyelesaikan soal-soal berpikir tingkat tinggi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan pengembangan soal  matematika berbasis AKM dengan konteks Covid-19, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PGSD UNIRA Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD UNIRA Malang. Tahap analisis dimulai dari isi, konteks, dan proses kognitif. Pada tahap desain, subjek merancang pertanyaan esai berdasarkan konten, konteks, dan AKM berbasis proses kognitif. Peneliti menggunakan covid-19 sebagai konteks. Validitas berasal dari evaluasi empiris validasi dan uji reliabilitas kelompok kecil. Tahap implementasi menunjukkan bahwa pertanyaan memiliki dampak potensial pada berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Tahap evaluasi menjelaskan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika soal matematika yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis serta dapat memberikan efek potensial berupa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Kata kunci: ADDIE, AKM, Covid-19, Kemampuan berpikir kritis, Pengembangan soal AbstractThe critical thinking skill is important for students, because critical thinking not only describe the ability to thinking accordance with the rules of logic and probability, but also the ability to apply these skills to real-life problems. But, the critical thinking of students in Prodi PGSD UNIRA Malang is low. It is showed by interviewed results by mathematics lecturer and showed by final test in literacy course. It is because students are not accustomed to solving high-order thinking questions. While now the government is implementing a new policy that's AKM test for students from elementary school until high school. The aim of the new policy is to improve students' literacy skills including critical thinking skill. Based on the problems, the researcher develop a mathematics task based on AKM with Covid-19 as context to enhancing the critical thinking skill of students in Prodi PGSD UNIRA Malang. This research used Research and Development method with ADDIE models. The subject is students in Prodi PGSD UNIRA Malang. The analysis Phase starts from content, context, and cognitive process. In the design phase researcher design the essay question based on content, context, and cognitive process-based AKM. The researcher used covid-19 as context. The validity came from the empirical evaluation of validation and reliability testing of the small group. The implementation phase showed that the question has a potential impact on the students' critical thinking. The last part, the evaluation phase indicate if students need to improve mathematical literacy skill including critical thinking skill to produce the teacher who can learn and think creatively and critically. Keywords: ADDIE, AKM, Covid-19, Critical Thinking Skill, Developing mathematic task

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint media to increase cultural literacy and citizenship in schools. This research is an RD research referring to the Borg Gall model covering 7 of 10 stages, namely information gathering, planning, preliminary product development, initial field trials, initial product revisions, main field trials, and main product revisions. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, product assessment, and tests. The study results showed that PowerPoint interactive learning media is valid to use and can increase cultural literacy and citizenship in thematic learning in elementary schools.
