Abstract

: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MIS Al-Afkary Batang Kuis. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pembelajaran atau proses belajar mengajar di MIS Al-Afkary Batang Kuis terkait dengan pembentukan karakter siswa melalui peran pendidikan yang berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif.  Metode ini akan menggambarkan setiap kejadian yang berbentuk peristiwa ataupun fenomena sosial budaya yang sedang diamati oleh peneliti dan sedang dilakukan penelitian terhadapnya. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi maupun studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian lapangan menggambarkan bahwa; Pada MIS Al-Akary Batang Kuis belum ditemukan adanya mata pelajaran khusus terkait dengan kearifan lokal seperti misalnya yang ditemukan pada beberapa sekolah di daerah Sumatera.  Guru memiliki strategi tersendiri dalam mengajarkan pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal yaitu dengan menghubungkan antara materi tematik yang ada pada buku tematik. Kearifan lokal sangat penting untuk dipelajari oleh peserta didik karena mengandung nilai-nilai kebaikan dari setiap suku bangsa yang ada pada suatu daerah. Kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru di MIS Al-Afkary Batang Kuis adalah belum tersedianya mata pelajaran khusus terkait kearifan lokal, terbatasnya akses bahan-bahan materi tentang kearifan lokal itu sendiri, dan tidak adanya kerja-sama antara sekolah dengan berbagai tokoh terutama tokoh atau pemangku adat setempat dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

This comic design aims to determine students' interest in reading related to thematic learning during the pandemic. This research was developed using the Brog & Gal model which was simplified into 5 stages, namely: researchers collecting data, product analysis developed, developing initial products, expert validation and design and revision, small field trials and product revisions, large scale field trials and the final product. Taking questionnaires, interviews, data were analyzed using descriptive analytic is data collection. The results of this study are thematic learning media based on comic series are declared valid with a very feasible category with a percentage of 97.83%. It was declared practical with a percentage of 76.49% in the very practical category, and effective with a percentage of 79.56%.

Abstract

Less of comprehension in reading of English text has become a problem to reach English mastery. This problem brings researchers to apply the activating schemata to solve student’s problem in MAS 22 Tembung Medan. In this research, the researcher took grade X as the population of the research. The population of the research is not too large. Then, the researchers decided to take the whole student as the sample of the research by using sampling technique. Researchers collected the data through pre-test and post-test during conducting of this research. After collecting of the data, the data is analyzed through SPSS 23.0 and tested by ANCOVA (an analysis of covariance) Finally, researcher found that activating schemata had a significant effect on student reading comprehension. It can be seen from the data resulted. The data shown that students in experimental group got score in the pre-test (70) and post-test (100). Meanwhile, students in control group got score pre-test (70) and post-test (70). Score of significance was 0.000 and it was lower than 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted. This result concluded that activating schemata can increase student reading comprehension and the use of this strategy is recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Islamic Thematic Comics as a valid, practical and effective learning media. The methods used in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The type of this research is R&R research with Borg and Gall research design. The results showed that the Islamic Thematic Comic product based on the value given by the valid validator obtained a value of 94.01% in the "Very Eligible" category, the practicality level obtained a value of 77.60% in the "Very Eligible" category and was declared effective with an increase in the value of 76.00 and after using Comics, which is 81.67. Based on the results of the tests carried out, it can be concluded that the development of Islamic Thematic Comics products to improve student learning outcomes is declared valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: Islamic, Thematic, Comic Media.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari metode Beyond Centre and Circle Time (BCCT) pada pengajaran kosakata. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimental. Adapun populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas 7 di MTs Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak, dan sampelnya adalah kelas VIIA sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen, kelas VIIB sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Data pada tes awal di kelas kontrol adalah 61,4 dengan nilai rata-rata pada tes akhir adalah 72,5. Sementara itu, nilai rata-rata tes awal di kelas eksperimen adalah 61,0 dan nilai rata-rata tes akhir adalah 81,1. Ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas kontrol nilai tes awal dan tes akhir meningkat menjadi 11,5 sementara pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 20,01. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima bahwa metode BCCT efektif dalam penguasaan kosakata pada siswa dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional.Abstract:  The research aimed to know effectiveness of Beyond Centre and Circle Time method in teaching students’ vocabulary mastery. This research was conducting by using experimental research design. The population of this research was the students at seven grade of MTs Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak. The sample of this study was VII-A (25 students) as experimental class and VII-B (25 students) as control class. The pre test in control class 61,4 and mean of post test was 72,5. Meanwhile mean of pre test in experiment class was 61,0 and mean of post test was 81,1. It means that there is difference between control class and experiment class. In the control class, the score of pre test and post test raise 11,5. While, in the experimental class, the score of pre test and post test raise 20,01. Ha is accepted and H0isrejected. It means that there is better of using beyond center and circle time method on the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery than conventional method.

Abstract

This paper seeks to describe how fisherwomen or fishermen's wives in Percut Village decide to take up work as shell seekers as a strategy in meeting household financial needs. The method used is descriptive qualitative research to explain the financial problems faced by women in Percut Village and how they face their life problems. The data collection technique was carried out by observation, participatory observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the decline in fishermen's income causes emotional and psychological pressure for fishermen's wives to meet household needs so that they seek alternative jobs as shellfish seekers without neglecting the position of women with the main task of managing the household. There are several obstacles and challenges faced especially in childcare but they must find strategies to overcome them.

Abstract

Lack of vocabulary became a problem on student reading comprehension. This condition brings the writers to solve student’s problem by applying of vocabulary self-collection strategy. Several researchers conducted the effect of vocabulary self-collection in teaching language learning. The results showed that this strategy is effective to help students in language learning. Therefore, writers intrigued to apply this strategy. Vocabulary self-collection strategy is an interactive-learning instructional strategy that shows the word consciousness To implement this strategy, the writers used Classroom Action Research. It took four steps proposed by Kemmis and Taggart, Planning, action, observation and reflection. This research took 36 students in Mas Al Ulum Medan. Based on the two cycles, it can be proved that the mean score is higher in the second cycle. The mean score of first cycle was 65,7 %. Furthermore, it was categorized as the criteria of not success in test reading. If we compare to the diagnose test before, it seem the significant differences among of them. Moreover, the use of vocabulary self-collection strategy is not only increase student reading comprehension but also student’s curiosity and interesting in reading of English text. It can be seen from the observation had been done by the researcher and collaborator during the application of this strategy. They looked more active than before. The student enjoyed this strategy because it can help them in reading and memorizing of the word. Therefore, the application of this vocabulary self-collection can be recommended to improve students in reading skill. Furthermore, the result also suggest to teachers, lecturers or other educators to attempt this strategy in supporting of language learning. Because of this strategy is usable to improve student ability in English skill and student’s interest in learning English.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini telah diselenggarakan sejak 2002 dengan berbagai tingkatan perkembangan yang ingin dicapai.Salah satu tingkat pencapaian perkembangan yang sangat penting bagi anak usia dini adalah mengenal lambang huruf karena mengenal huruf merupakan pengetahuan dasar bagi anak sehingga anak mampu mengenal tulisan dan kata yang ada disekitarnya. Contoh; anak dapat mengenal namanya namun ketika ditanyakan huruf vokal yang ada, mereka belum dapat mengenalnya. Anak mampu mengenal kata yang merupakan simbol kata tertentu seperti “ Bebek” namun ketika ditanya huruf vokal ada beberapa anak yang belum dapat mengenalnya. Dalam mengenalkan huruf vocal (A, I, U, E, O ) pada anak usia dini dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan media audio visual yang dapat menampilkan gambar dan suara, sehingga anak mampu melihat bagaimana bentuk dari huruf tersebut dan mendengar bagaimana bunyi pelafalan dari huruf tersebut. Dengan hal tersebut anak mampu mempotret dan merekam apa yang dilihat dan didengarnya, karena pada fase pra operasional ini anak belajar lewat proses intuitif dimana dalam perkembangan bahasanya anak mempersentasikannya dengan kata-kata dan gambar. Kata Kunci :  Huruf Vokal, Media Audio Visual

Abstract

Al-Quran ialah mukjizat terbesar yang diterima nabi Muhammad SAW dengan keindahan dan keteraturan gaya bahasa di dalamnya yang tidak dapat ditandingi manusia manapun. Telah banyak dilakukan riset untuk mengungkapkan keindahan dan keteraturan gaya bahasa maupun angka yang ada di dalam Al-Quran. Riset ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pola matematika yang ada di dalam surat Quraisy. Riset ini menggunakan riset deskriptif yang mengungkapkan pola matematika dalam surat Quraisy. Data yang digunakan merupakan angka yang menjadi penyusun ayat dalam surat Quraisy. Hasil riset mengungkapkan  stuktur matematika terkandung di dalam surat dan berhubungan dengan bilangan prima. Nilai numerik nama surat memiliki kelipatan 2 ke-305, nilai numerik ayat berjumlah 6052 merupakan kelipatan 2 ke-3026, hubungan huruf yang terpakai dan tidak terpakai dalam surat memiliki perbedaan 14 (kelipatan angka 2), penggabungan jumlah huruf tiap ayat menghasilkan kelipatan angka 2 ke-4.605.913, dan hasil perhitungan tiap huruf setiap ayat dalam surat menghasilkan kelipatan 2 ke- 555.555.611.666.672.800.000. Urutan surat dan jumlah keseluruhan surat dalam AL-Quran menghasilkan kelipatan 2 ke-57.053 dengan angka 114.106.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the snake and ladder game on Islamic history Fathu Mecca learning outcomes based on observations at the SD Muhammadiyah in Indonesia. Students have been shown to acquire standard competency through the study of Islamic history. This course is very important to build a strong Muslim identity, especially in Islamic School Muhammadiyah. Meanwhile, the snake and ladder game has been used by several educators in the teaching and learning process. This game positively influences students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the authors developed and integrated Islamic history into the snake and ladder game board. This research was a quantitative study conducted on 60 fifth-grade students divided into experiment and control classes. Furthermore, the data were collected using observation, interview, and t-test hypotheses. The results showed that the snake and ladder game positively affects students’ learning outcomes in studying Islamic history. Based on the result, this game provides opportunities for students to explore, identify, practice, and understand concepts. The teachers are expected to encourage students to develop skills for discovering knowledge through an inspiring and fun learning atmosphere.
