Abstract

Kurangnya perhatian pemerintah dalam prioritas pembangunan di bidang pendidikan mengakibatkan negara ini menjadi negara yang masyarakatnya kurang menguasai tekhnologi yang terus berkembang pesat (masyarakatnya bersifat konsumtif saja), yang hanya dapat memakai tekhnologi yang diciptakan negara lain tanpa dapat menciptakan tekhnologi asli made in Indonesia. Bahkan yang cukup memprihatinkan hanya dapat memakai barang yang sudah tidak dipakai lagi dinegara lain (barang bekas), seperti import pesawat bekas, bus-bus dan truk-truk serta alat berat lainnya yang second hand.

Abstract

An effort to preserve and utilize manuscripts in this archipelago, especially religious manuscripts, is very important due to, at least, two reasons. Firstly, there has been abundant important information pertinent to religious phenomena in the manuscripts. Secondly, physical condition of the manuscripts has been increasingly fragile. Following the process of choosing the manuscript, the author has selected one of the manuscripts preserved in the State Museum of North Sumatra. This study employs the theory of philology, literature and history in analyzing the manuscript. Analyses are focused on the language used, the cultural background of the manuscript, and the social history of the region where it has been written. The findings of this study tell us that the manuscript, named Kashf al-Ghar??ib, is a classical Islamic manuscript which still has been well preserved at the State Museum of North Sumatra. It contains the scientific information of fiqh (Islamic law), especially discussing about the way of worshipping the God. The manuscript also consists of religious poems and problems of adab (ethics). Of the three topics discussed in this manuscript, I give considerable attention on worship and ethical issues.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is meant to describe the implementation of tahfizh al Quran curriculum which includes planning, implementation, methods and media that used. This research used qualitative research method with naturalistic approach. This research was conducted at Mawaddah Warohmah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Medan. The main participants in this study were the coordinator or supervisor teacher of tahfizh alQuran at Mawaddah Warohmah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Medan. The results of this study is the implementation of tahfizh alQuran curri- culum in Islamic Elementary School which includes: 1) Planning of learning curriculum tahfizh al Quran has been prepared in the form of lesson plan, 2) Imple- mentation of learning tahfizh alQuran begins with read of study prayer, after that read Asmaul Husna and continued with memorization and muraja'ah alQuran guided by homeroom teachers with the method of sima'i, group and talaqqi, and 4) The media that used such as form of print, audio and visual media. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) Planning to improve the quality of teaching staff in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah, Rantau SelatanDistrict; 2) Organizing the improvement of the quality of teaching staff atMadrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah, Rantau Selatan  District; 3) Implementation of improving the quality of teaching staff at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah, Rantau Selatan  District; and 4) Supervision of improving the quality of educators at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah, Rantau Selatan Sub-District . This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection uses interview, observation, and document study techniques. This research found that: 1) Planning for Improving the Quality of Educators at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah, Rantau Selatan  District was done through identification, analysis, conceptualization and planning, determining plans, implementing plans, objectives, benefits, planning steps, planning stages, including indicators or quality targets to be achieved as a process of improving the quality of education. 2) Organizing Resources in Improving the Quality of Educators in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah Sub-District of Rantau Selatan   carried out with a detailed process of all work and activities; 3) Implementation of the Teacher Quality Improvement Plan for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah District of Rantau Selatan Sub-District  has not yet fully followed the stages of implementation of the general guidelines for implementation, because the concepts and objectives of the policy have not been fully understood by the policy actors as a result of the implementation of policy socialization which is somewhat less than optimal. 4) Supervision of Quality Improvement of Educators in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Yusufiah Rantau Selatan Sub-District covers several stages, namely: supervision is carried out at the beginning as a tool to anticipate or initial steps towards obstacles and obstacles as well as deviations from the standards and objectives that have been prepared as well as tools correction before a program is completed. Keywords: Management, Quality Improvement, Implementation, Supervision

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to explain the improvement of students' Arabic competence through the POACE learning management model. This research is a field research, using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, and documentation. The technique used to ensure the validity of the data is triangulation. This study uses data analysis with Miles Huberman's interactive analysis model, namely collection data, reduction data, display data, conclusion: drawing/verification. The results showed that the POACE learning management model as an effort to improve students' Arabic competence was carried out with the following stages of activites: 1) Planning, namely determining achievement targets and how to carry out these activities; 2) Organizing, namely making arrangements for the resources owned; 3) Carrying out (action), namely learning activities are carried out in accordance with the planned procedures; 4) Control, which is to supervise all learning activities; 5) Evaluating, namely measuring the achievement of learning activities.

Abstract

This is an evaluation study on the training program for the echelon III leader at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study utilizes the four levels of Kirkpatrick’s evaluation modelreaction, learning, behavior, and results. There are 30 respondents in this study; All of them are the echelon III leaders at the Ministry of Religious Affairs all over Indonesia. The finding of the study shows that the 23rd training program conducted by the center for education and training of the Ministry of Religious Affairs can be categorized well performed, since 85% of the projected program can be utilized, the substances of the training can be understood and applied at the participants’ work environment. However, this study also finds some parts of the training program that ought to be reformed in order to get a better result or outcomes in the future training program. The data informs us that the use of the outsider tutors is still important in order to get a broader knowledge for those who participate in the training and the facilities to support the training should be improved.

Abstract

The research was intended to know the effectiveness of Word FindPuzzle in the students’ vocabulary mastery which was observed andanalyzed from students of tenth grade at SMA Baitul Aziz BandarKlippa. The method used was quatitative research by using theexperimental research design. The population of this study wastenth grade students of SMA Baitul Aziz Bandar Klippa. In takingthe sample of this research, the researchers took some students ineach classes as the sample used and divided into 2 classes,experimental and control. There were 34 students in theexperimental and 26 students in control. The researchers taught byusing the Word Find Puzzle in the experimental class and taught byusing lecturing method in control class.The researchers used pretest,treatment, and post-test. In control class the score increase59,23 between pre-test and post-test, but in experimental class thescore increase about 68,85. By calculated by used SPSS V24, Theresearcherss concluded that there was a significant effect of theapplication of the Word Find Puzzle learning approach on learningoutcomes, it can be seen from the results of the analysis that this isindicated by the results of hypothesis testing which indicate that theSig. (2 - tailed) <0.05 (0.000 <0.05) and the value of t_ (count)> ttable (6.365> 1.992). Then in post test the researchers found thatthe value of Sig. (2tailed) is 0,923. It is bigger than 0,05(0,923>0,05) Sig. in T-Test (2tailed) is 0,002. It was less than 0,05(0,002>0,05), so there was a significant different between theexperiment class and control class. In other words, the students’achievement in vocabulary mastery is more effective by using WordFind Puzzle than lecturing method.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari metode Beyond Centre and Circle Time (BCCT) pada pengajaran kosakata. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimental. Adapun populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas 7 di MTs Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak, dan sampelnya adalah kelas VIIA sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen, kelas VIIB sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Data pada tes awal di kelas kontrol adalah 61,4 dengan nilai rata-rata pada tes akhir adalah 72,5. Sementara itu, nilai rata-rata tes awal di kelas eksperimen adalah 61,0 dan nilai rata-rata tes akhir adalah 81,1. Ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas kontrol nilai tes awal dan tes akhir meningkat menjadi 11,5 sementara pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 20,01. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima bahwa metode BCCT efektif dalam penguasaan kosakata pada siswa dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional.Abstract:  The research aimed to know effectiveness of Beyond Centre and Circle Time method in teaching students’ vocabulary mastery. This research was conducting by using experimental research design. The population of this research was the students at seven grade of MTs Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak. The sample of this study was VII-A (25 students) as experimental class and VII-B (25 students) as control class. The pre test in control class 61,4 and mean of post test was 72,5. Meanwhile mean of pre test in experiment class was 61,0 and mean of post test was 81,1. It means that there is difference between control class and experiment class. In the control class, the score of pre test and post test raise 11,5. While, in the experimental class, the score of pre test and post test raise 20,01. Ha is accepted and H0isrejected. It means that there is better of using beyond center and circle time method on the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery than conventional method.
