Abstract

Manado's Muslim minority mindset stops social, political, and religious activities. Although Islam is the second-largest religion after Protestantism, this mindset can be seen by the impression that Manado is a 'Christian City' known as the “Tower of a Thousand Churches.” This article describes the strategy of minority religious leaders (Islam) in tolerating the perspective of Maqasid al-Syari'ah. The research data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with religious leaders from the Islamic boarding school Kiai, IAIN Manado lecturers, and Muslim youth. The research findings show that first, the values ​​of religious tolerance in Manado have developed in the form of slogans, such as "Torang Samua Basudara," " Torang Samua Ciptaan Tuhan, "and "Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou," second, the strategy of Islamic religious leaders in maintaining tolerance through (1) mutual respect for beliefs, (2) fighting for religious teachers and places of worship (mushola) in public schools, (3) creating dialogue forums between religious communities, (4) enlivening Islamic syi'ar, such as majlis taklim, the graduation ceremony for students from all over North Sulawesi, and (5) halal certification. This finding has implications for the Maqasidi type for religious minority leaders in tolerance to protect Muslims' faith.

Abstract

Indonesian education during the Covid-19 era entered a different situation. The real situation has long been predicted by technology experts that all areas of life will enter the realm of digital technology-based activities, including education. For this reason, education in Indonesia must be able to find new directions for education in formulating policies to be taken. One of the important things that must be prepared is at the education planning level. The problem that needs to be studied is how educational institutions formulate educational program planning during the Covid-19 pandemic while maintaining the quality of education. Educational planning carried out by educational institutions must reflect the existence of a vision, mission, goals and work plans, as raw materials or a reference for educational policies at the managerial level. This paper will discuss the education planning process in terms of its implications for quality-oriented education policy during a pandemic.

Abstract

The development of religious character is not only within the scope of formal education but must target non-formal education, such as in the hijrah community. The phenomenon of the hijrah community now dominates the da'wah movement in various cities, including Manado as a Muslim minority city. This study aims to determine religious character education in the hijrah community and its activities in Manado. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and qualitative content analysis techniques. This study indicates that religious character education in the hijrah community is carried out by learning activities about basic knowledge of Islam and social activities. The findings of this study also show that the hijrah community in Manado carries out social activities by collaborating religious values with the values of local wisdom.

Abstract

AbstractThe implementation of character education based on religious moderation for children should begin from the beginning at a golden age, because early childhood is the right time to provide a moderate character foundation in accordance with Islamic values, especially in muslim minority communities or communities. This study examines the implementation of character education based on religious moderation in early childhood, especially in kindergarten/RA Manado city which is a muslim minority area as well as factors that affect it.. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were obtained by observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of character education based on religious moderation in early childhood in minority areas is focused on three aspects, namely: 1) Strengthening of Aqidah; 2) Moral/Akhlak Education; and 3) Fostering Value of Tolerance. These three focuses are implemented through learning, habituation and role models. Factors that influence of the child's character building is environmental factors, teachers, support from parents and school committees, and the foundation support. AbstrakImplementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis moderasi beragama pada anak harus dimulai sejak awal pada usia emas, karena usia dini adalah masa yang tepat untuk memberikan landasan karakter moderat yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam, khususnya di daerah atau lingkungan masyarakat minoritas muslim. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis moderasi beragama pada anak usia dini khususnya di TK/RA Kota Manado yang merupakan daerah minoritas muslim serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya.. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran moderasi beragama pada anak usia dini di daerah minoritas difokuskan pada tiga aspek yaitu: 1) Penguatan Aqidah; 2) Pendidikan Akhlak; dan 3) Pembinaan Nilai Toleransi. Ketiga fokus ini diimplementasikan melalui program pembelajaran, pembiasaan dan pemberian teladan. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan karakter moderat pada anak yaitu: faktor lingkungan, faktor guru, dukungan orang tua dan Komite sekolah serta pihak Yayasan.

Abstract

The quality of education in an educational institution will be greatly influenced by the potential of educational institutions and the governance system. The existing potential must be optimized to support quality improvement. Likewise, the education governance system will develop well when it is implemented through a good system by professional managers. The system has been designed in detail by the government which was stipulated by the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 19 of 2007 concerning "Education Management Standards by Primary and Secondary Education Units". This regulation was prepared by the government to regulate a good, balanced and sustainable governance system.The problem is determined to what extentthe ability of educational institutions to optimize the potential of the institution and optimizing inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes, starting from planning, organizing, actuiting, and controlling. This paper will discuss the improving educational quality through optimizing the potential of educational institutions in Indonesia in order to achieve shared ideals for a better educational future.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of The School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) funds finance management in MAN 1 Bitung. BOS aims to relieve the burden of society in terms of education fund. Therefore, proper financial management is needed to achieve its purpose. This research uses qualitative approaches using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the implementation of BOS finance management in MAN 1 Bitung was realized through the function of planning, implementation, and supervision. Planning involves formulating a budget draft. Then, the implementation stage is done through socialization and disbursement of funds. The final stage is the supervision stage. Through the implementation of this management function, BOS finance management in MAN 1 Bitung positively impacts the education process. Nevertheless, there is a need to coordinate with every element of the madrasah to ensure accountability for BOS funds.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan adalah pilihan sekaligus orientasł pengembangan peradaban bangsa sebagai investasi masa depan pembangunan bangsa berjangka panjang. Orientasi ini mutlak dilakukan oleh karena pendidikan diyakini sebagai sarana utama pengembangan kualitas sumber dava manusia.Dalam konteks itulah revitalisasi kebijakan pendidikan terus menjadi perhatian pemerintah. Salah satu bentuk revitalisasi itu ialah kebijakan pengelolaan sistem pendidikan dari kebijakan rang semula sentralistik berubah menjadi desentralistik. Sebagai konsekuensi logis dari bentuk desentralisasi pendidikan ialah munculnya kebiiakan pengelolaan pendidikan berbasis sekolah (school based management).Dengan sistem pengelolaan pendidikan berbasis .sekolah tersebut diasumsikan kualitas pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan dan juga peran serta masyarakat dan prakarsa lembaga pendidikan di tingkat mikro (sekolah) akŁłn lebih meningkat.Kata Kunci : Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah, Kualitas Pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk memperoleh pemahaman dan informasi terkait implementasi penjaminan mutu pendidikan di lembaga pendidikan Islam yaitu pada Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Model 1 Manado, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kotamobagu dan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kota Bitung. FOkus penelitian ini adalah pada proses implementasi penjaminan mutu, dampak penjaminan mutu, faktor pendukung dan penghambat penjaminan mutu dan solusi yang dapat ditempuh untuk mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam penjaminan mutu.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multi situs. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara mendalam yang dilengkapi dengan teknik dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi proses alur kegiatan yang terjadi secara bersamaan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Implementasi penjaminan mutu telah dilaksanakan dengan mengoptimalkan sumber daya madrasah yang tersedia. Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Model 1 Manado memiliki lembaga penjaminan mutu yang secara khusus melakukan kegiatan penjaminan mutu, sedangkan 2 situs  yaitu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kotamobagu dan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kota Bitung tidak memiliki unit atau lembaga penjaminan mutu yang terorganisir namun pelaksanaan penjaminan mutu didelegasikan kepada Wakil Kepala Madrasah dan tenaga yang ditunjuk oleh Kepala Madrasah. Secara umum, implementasi penjaminan mutu di madrasah mengacu pada standar nasional pendidikan. (2) Dampak penjaminan mutu pendidikan di Madrasah terlihat pada meningkatnya prestasi siswa di bidang akademik, seni, dan olahraga sehingga memberikan penegasan bahwa madrasah memiliki kualitas yang tidak kalah bersaing dengan sekolah lain. (3) Faktor Pendukung penjaminan mutu di antaranya adalah dukungan peran Kepala Madrasah dalam menjalankan kepemimpinannya, semangat dan motivasi tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, dukungan pemerintah dan Kementerian terkait, dan dukungan masyarakat. (4) Faktor penghambat penjaminan mutu pendidikan di Madrasah di antaranya adalah keterbatasan tenaga, fasilitas, sarana dan prasarana madrasah, dukungan dana dan dampak buruk dari perkembangan teknologi dan informasi.

Abstract

Pendidikan tidak hanya merupakan transfer informasi, ilmu pengetahuan dan kecakapan serta keterampilan tertentu pada peserta didik, namun lebih dari itu bahwa pendidikan menekankan aspek sikap dan pembentukan karakter yang baik. Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional dan sejumlah regulasi yang dikeluarkan Pemerintah telah mengindikasikan bahwa pendidikan perlu mengembangkan aspek sikap dalam membangun generasi muda yang cerdas yang penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, santun dalam bertingkah laku, dan terampil serta tangguh dalam menghadapi segala tantangan kehidupan. Tulisan ini akan mengulas tentang pengembangan karakter melalui pendidikan agama Islam di Indonesia dan korelasinya dengan pembangunan mental dan spiritual anak bangsa.Kata Kunci: Karakter, Pendidikan Agama Islam
