Abstract

The widespread use of radioactivity has culminated in adverse health consequences and has generated an entire health science study. It is established practice that certain precautions must be taken to avoid potential exposure to ionizing radiation like an x-ray. One way to control radiation hazards external is to use a radiation shield. In this study, clay-originated bricks were used as a shield and determine its linear attenuation coefficient of x-ray radiation. The bricks were collected from 5 regencies in Central Java province. Digital fluoroscopy was used as an x-ray radiation source and operated in 81 kV 32 mAs; also, it associated with the multi-purpose detector. It shows that linear attenuation coefficient of Boyolali, Klaten, Magelang, Temanggung, and Semarang bricks respectively are 0.8896 cm-1; 0.7455 cm-1; 0.7115 cm-1; 0.7254 cm-1; and 0.7972 cm-1. Furthermore, we calculate the half-value layer of each brick and indicates that brick from Boyolali is the most effective as a shielding among others that can reduce half value of x-ray radiation dose. This research is expected to enhance the systems integration of radiation shielding safeties and allow for the effective treatment of radiation sources for both humans and the environment.

Abstract

The quality of service and product prices offered by retail businesses will greatly affect the ability to compete in an effort to dominate the market. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of service quality and product price on customer satisfaction simultaneously and partially at Citimart Gunungsitoli. This research is a quantitative correlational research method. The sample in this study was 67 customers at Citimart Gunungsitoli. Methods of data collection using interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was performed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained in the study indicate that service quality and customer value have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, and product prices have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Citimart Gunungsitoli. These findings provide consideration for Citimart Gunungsitoli in preparing the best strategy to be able to retain customers and their presence in the retail business competition.

Abstract

Social media users are increasing and influencing the world of marketing, even the use of social media as a marketing tool is considered a trendsetter. This study aims to analyze the effect of social media marketing on university students' purchase intention in smartphones sold at Tricomsel Gunungsitoli. This study was carried out using quantitative data, with a questionnaire containing 20 questions and being distributed to 85 survey university students who had made at least one smartphone purchase from the Tricomsel Gunungsitoli store. Utilizing the slovin formula, researchers employed the sampling technique of random selection. The purpose of this study's data analysis was to test hypotheses using validity and reliability testing. The results of the regression analysis demonstrate a very significant and statistically significant correlation between social media and consumers' purchasing interest by 73.7%. Researchers recommend that store to keep improving the marketing strategy through social media

Abstract

A person may experience either positivity or despondency after assessing a product in light of the expectations the person had for it, which is known as satisfaction. The objective of this research was to investigate, from a multiracial perspective and, at the same time, the impact that Dekorindo Jaya Furniture's marketing efforts and promotional strategies had on the level of contentment experienced by its clientele. This study was carried out in Dekorindo Jaya Furniture, which is located in Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra. Using the nonprobability sampling method, the number of samples was decided to be 45 respondents, and multiple regression was implemented to analyze the data. According to the findings of the research conducted, it was discovered that advertising and product quality have a favorable and significant effect on customer satisfaction at Dekorindo Jaya Furniture Gunungsitoli, and this holds true for customers of both races concurrently. The findings of this investigation point to the recommendation of analyzing additional policies and tactics for advertising products and product quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Pembelajaran jarak jauh semakin populer terutama di era pandemi COVID-19 dan salah bentuknya adalah melalui massive open online course(MOOC). Penelitian bertujuan untuk melakukan studi komparatif antara efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran melalui MOOC dan pembelajaran tatap muka langsung (offline) dengan melibatkan 149 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD). Penelitian mengambil tingkat kehadiran, jumlah halaman yang dilihat, jumlah layar pop-up, dan jumlah pengumuman yang dibaca sebagai indikator analisis pada perilaku belajar dan prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada mode pengajaran yang berbeda, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam perilaku belajar mahasiswa, seperti jumlah pengumuman dibaca dan jumlah pop-up yang dilihat. Analisis regresi linear menunjukkan pula bahwa di bawah mode pembelajaran menggunakan MOOC, jumlah pengumuman dibaca memiliki efek prediksi yang signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa; sedangkan pada mode pembelajaran offline, jumlah pop-up yang dilihat memainkan peran penting dalam memprediksi prestasi akademik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam prestasi akademik mahasiswa di bawah mode pengajaran yang berbeda, dan perbedaan ini terkait dengan perilaku belajar mahasiswa di bawah mode pengajaran yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi para pengajar untuk memilih mode pengajaran yang efektif sesuai dengan situasi dan materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Improving the scientific literacy of teacher-training students majoring in elementary education is important in training elementary science education talents in colleges and universities before teaching their prospective students. In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of elementary education teacher-training students' learning the course Fundamentals of Natural Science by developing a mental state questionnaire and a science literacy quiz. The results showed that teacher-training students majoring in elementary education had higher mental states in the course learning process, and their academic achievement was significantly different in terms of background variables such as gender and birth origin. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between mental states and academic achievement. A multidimensional assessment of academic achievement based on mental status will help develop elementary education students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

This study aims determine the application of the Merdeka Curriculum students learning outcomes in Pancasila education. The quantitative research with ex-post facto design and random sampling technique was used so that the research sample was grade IV students of SD Swasta Kristen BNKP Lahewa as many as 33 students. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference in midterm exam results in the odd semester (2013 Curriculum implementation) and the midterm exam results in the even semester (Merdeka Curriculum implementation) in grade IV students in Pancasila education.

Abstract

Many previous studies have shown that learning motivation and learning effectiveness can be enhanced through educational learning media, and the recent introduction of enriched game elements has made such interactive games increasingly popular. The main objective of this study was to help primary school learners learn science-related concepts by participating in an educational card game, Cram flashcards. The researcher then investigated learners' perceptions regarding the integration of the game into science learning as well as the educational benefits of the game in relation to learning performance. A one-group pretest-post test design was implemented with 94 elementary school learners in Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra, selected through purposive sampling. The results of this study found that the learners showed a positive attitude towards the use of educational card games in science learning. The results also showed the effectiveness of the proposed educational card game in improving science knowledge on transportation and energy. The study also suggests that teachers can explore learners' attitudes towards learning using card games to identify the elements that arouse interest and how knowledge is acquired through this interactive learning medium.

Abstract

Implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar perlu dilakukan oleh semua pihak secara berkesinambungan. Untuk mengembangkan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran PKn dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan isi pembelajaran PKn, memilih pendekatan, metode, atau strategi pembelajaran yang akan digunakan, serta proses pembelajaran PKn. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif normatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyelenggaraan pendidikan PKn dapat terwujud berdasarkan target yang ingin dicapai peneliti. Pendidikan karakter yang dibangun melalui pembelajaran ini adalah nilai-nilai yang diajarkan berdasarkan mata pelajaran seperti kedisiplinan, kemandirian, kerjasama, dan tanggung jawab. Selain itu, kegiatan pembelajaran yang mengaktifkan siswa melalui proyek atau pemecahan masalah akan memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran PKn. Integrasi dilakukan dengan memadukan nilai-nilai karakter dalam RPP dan konsistensi siswa dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai tersebut di luar sekolah. Dalam mengukur hasil, guru memberikan buku penilaian kepada siswa.
