Abstract

The research used secondary information that analyzed by regression method to have a simple picture about relationship between population growth, gross domestic regional product, and local revenue of Region of Merangin.The conclusion of this research shows us a positive relationship between gross domestic regional product and population growth in influencing local revenue of a region. The variable of  gross domestic regional product (x1), represented by elastic coefficient, has 2,197 point where t variable has 8,868 point means this variable has significant influence to local revenue variable. In the other side, population growth (x2) has minus 0,794 point as its elastic coefficient where t variable has minus 1,020 point, and it means this variable does not have significant influence to variable of local revenue. The F variable, a examiner value, has 61.132 point, it tells us that gross domestic regional product and population growth fairly together gives an influence to local revenue of Region of Merangin.Entirely, by using regression analyzes we have found that local revenue would be influenced by fluctuation of economic growth and population growth as reflected by values of gross domestic regional product. Key word : local revenue, gross domestic regional product, population growth,   regression

Abstract

Regional economic development involves a multi-sectoral and development actors, so that the necessary cooperation and coordination among all interested parties. Regional economic development is a process in which local governments and communities to manage resources - the resources available and to form a partnership with the private sector to create new jobs and stimulate the development of economic activities in the region. (Arsyad, 1999: 108).Regional development policies that are based on efforts to boost economic growth which can create jobs optimally in terms of quantity, productivity and efficiently determine the success of regional economic development. Policy determination must take into account internal conditions and external developments. Differences in internal and external conditions are just on the coverage region, which covers the internal conditions of the area / region, while the external conditions covering the national territory.Based on the theory of economic base, the main determining factor of economic growth of a region is directly related to the demand for goods and services from outside the area (Arsyad, 1999). Growth industries - industries that use local resources, including labor and raw materials for export will generate local wealth and create jobs (job creation). Implementation of regional development requires planning and a proper strategy because each region has different circumstances, has its own characteristics, economic growth and the potential different.Keyword : economic potential

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence from the level of education , health , and income to poverty at  2000-2014 period in Jambi province. Method and a tool used in this research is the double regression with  SPSS 20 program  . From the calculation known that the variable levels of education ( X1 ) and income ( X3 ) have negative impact to poverty ( Y ) , in other words if the level of education and income increased, poverty will decline in Jambi province .The size of the influence of each variable levels of education ( X1 ) and income (X3) is  0,578 and 1,773 .While , variable health (X2) have a positive impact to poverty in Jambi province with coefficient is 1,315. Also known that from the calculations stimultaneously a variable degree in education , health , and income have significant on poverty in Jambi province , but only degree in education have significant in partially.Keywords : Poverty, level educational, income, health

Abstract

Performance is a picture of the results achieved in the implementation of a policy realized through the strategic planning of an organization including the goals, goals, vision, and mission of the organization. The performance of employees of the Regional Device Organization (KOPD) of the Padang City Education Office is still not optimal, where the placement of employees is not by the competencies needed by the organization. Employee absenteeism increased by 2-5% per month due to several things such as delays in employees entering the office, employees applying for permission for family affairs and employees who do not give news or without information. The purpose of this study was to test variables that affect employee performance using work discipline intervening variables with 101 samples at the Padang City Education Office. The results of the study prove that: 1) employee discipline is positively and significantly influenced by work competence; 2) employee discipline is positively and significantly influenced by work culture; 3) employee performance is positively and significantly affected by work competence; 4) employee performance is positively and significantly affected by the work culture; 5) Employee performance is positively and significantly affected by work discipline; 6) Employee performance is positively and significantly affected by work competence with work discipline as an intervening variable; 7) Employee performance is positively and significantly influenced by work culture with work disciplines such as intervening variables in the Padang City Education Office.

Abstract

Economic development carried out by a State aims to realize a prosperous, just and prosperous society. The success of a development can be seen from the development of existing economic indicators, whether it has increased or decreased. Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) is included in one of the indicators of development of a region to see the level of community welfare in a region. PDRB which tends to increase indicates an increase in development and community welfare that continues to improve, while the Declining GDP reflects the decline in development and a decrease in the level of community welfare. Investment is an important factor in determining the level of national income which means it depends on the amount of capital and technology planted and developed in society. Investment activities allow an area to continuously increase economic activity and employment opportunities. This increase in investment in both government and private is very important. The conceptual framework in this study is that the Economy of Jambi Province is influenced by two economic variables, namely; PMDN investment and PMA investment. PDRB as a dependent variable while PMDN and PMA Investment Variable. Descriptive research methods for analyzing data with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method is a multiple linear regression. The results showed that PMDN had no significant effect on PDRB. There is a negative relationship between PMA and PDRB. Results of Research Analysis of multiple linear regressions that PMA has a significant effect on Economic Growth in Jambi Province. Based on the results of simultaneous tests that the variables PMDN and PMA simultaneously have a significant effect on the Economy of Jambi Province. While partially variable PMDN has a negative but insignificant effect on the Economy of Jambi Province. Recommendations ; The local government is expected to increase investment in Domestic Investment (PMDN) in Jambi Province through policies by creating a conducive investment climate, simplifying the licensing process, improving infrastructure, and improving the quality of human resources so that it is expected that the value of Investment can increase and can encourage the Economy of Jambi Province.

Abstract

The performance of organization can be seen to the extent of work productivity has been produced. Generally, productivity is defined as the influence between real  and physical  results with actual input. This study  discusses the influence of leadership style and intensive on motivation and its impact on performance in the Bungo District Livestock and Fisheries Office. Data were obtained using questionnaire and literature review methods, with 54 respondents. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive and statistical methods through path analysis. This study resulted in a leadership style, incentives, motivation and performance of the Bungo District Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office, both for the leadership style with a score of 1930, for incentives with a score of 1438, for motivation with a score of 804 and performance at a score of 2342 in the very high category. Leadership style towards the motivation of the Bungo Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office has a direct or indirect influence with a value of 20.35%. The incentives for the motivation of the Bungo Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office have a direct or indirect influence with a value of 0.205%.  The  leadership  style  and incentives for the  motivation  of the Bungo Regency  Animal  Husbandry  and  Fisheries  Office  have  a  direct  or  indirect influence with a value of 2.86%. There is an influence of leadership style on the performance of the Bungo Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office with a value of 1.43%. There is an incentive effect on the performance of the Bungo Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office with a value of 2.65%. The leadership style and incentives for the performance of the Bungo Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office have an influence of 2.471%. The influence of motivation  on  the  performance  of  the Bungo  District  Animal  Husbandry  and Fisheries Office is at 4.057%. Leadership styles and incentives through motivation on the performance of the Bungo District Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office have an effect of 1.478%.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the company’s financial ratios seen from liquidity ratio (quick ratio, cash ratio, and inventory to net working capital), the solvency ratio (long-term debt to equity ratio), and activity ratio (receivable turnover, days of receivable, inventory turnover, days of inventory, working capital turnover, fixed asset turnover, and total assets turnover) as well as identify and analyze the financial performance of the company based on financial ratios at PT. Indosat, Tbk listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2009-2013. The results showed that only 3 out of 11 financial ratios (inventory turnover, days of inventory, and days of receivable) which showed positive results, meaning that the company has a good performance seen from the three analysis. While the rest showed that the company's performance poor. Such as the quick ratio with an average of 57.33%, cash ratio of 21.96%, inventory to net working capital of -1.53%, long-term debt to equity ratio of 128.74%, receivable turnover of 11.27 times, working capital turnover of 2.99 times, fixed assets turnover of 0.49 times, and total assets turnover of 0.39 times.

Abstract

Inventory turnover is the ratio used to measure funds invested in this inventory rotating in one period can be interpreted also that inventory turnover is a ratio that shows how many times the amount of inventory items replaced in one year. The greater this ratio will be better for the company and vice versa. From result of hypothesis testing can be concluded that variable of cash turnover (X1) and inventory turnover (X2) to variable (Y) or net profit is 47,7% and 52,3% influenced by other variation not examined in this research. Based on the coefficient values contained in the table of multiple linear regression equations prepared for this study is Y = 4.166 + 0.861 X1 - 0.410 X2. From the multiple linear regression equation above it can be in the constant analysis of 4.166 shows if the variable cash turnover and inventory turnover constant or equal to zero, net income of 4.166 Rupiah, changes in variable cash turnover has a value of regression coefficient of 0.861 Coefficient marked positive means that each An increase in cash turnover of 1 time will result in a decrease in net income of 0.861 Rupiah, changes in inventory turnover variables have a regression coefficient value of -0.410 Coefficients are negative, meaning that any increase of 1 time will result in a net profit increase of -0.410 Rupiah. The results of this study indicate that Cash Turnover and Inventory Turnover (simultaneously) have a significant effect on net income. This is indicated by using F test, where F arithmetic is 13.237 > F table α = 0.05 of 3.34 or F arithmetic > F table (13.237 < 3.34). Cash turnover variables and inventory turnover can account for net income change of 47,7% while 52,3% is explained by other variables.Keyword:  cash turnover, net profit

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of organizational culture, individual characteristics, and work motivation, as well as employee performance at the Batanghari District Land Office; and to determine the direct and indirect influence of organizational culture and individual characteristics on work motivation and employee performance; as well as to determine the effect of motivation on employee performance. To answer the research objectives, the authors need theoretical studies related to research variables, namely organizational culture theory, individual characteristics, and work motivation, as well as employee performance. In addition, the authors also look for relevant previous research in the form of previous articles/journals and theses to support this research. The population in this study were employees of the Batanghari Regency Land Office, totaling 53 employees. The sampling technique in this study used Saturated Sampling, so that the number of samples in this study amounted to 53 employees. To answer all hypotheses, the analysis technique used is through path analysis. The results of the study show that organizational culture and individual characteristics have an influence on employee motivation and performance, both directly and indirectly. Where based on the results of the t test (partial) and the F test (Simultaneous) show that organizational culture and individual characteristics have a significant and positive influence on motivation and performance, as well as motivation also has a significant and positive influence on performance. This explains that if the organizational culture and individual characteristics can be implemented properly, it will have a positive influence in increasing work motivation which has implications for improving the performance of employees of the Batanghari District Land Office. Based on the results of the study, namely organizational culture, individual characteristics, and work motivation, as well as the performance of the Batanghari Regency Land Office employees in good and quite good condition; organizational culture and individual characteristics have a positive and significant impact on work motivation both directly and indirectly; organizational culture and individual characteristics have a positive and significant impact on employee performance both directly and indirectly; work motivation affects employee performance; and organizational culture and individual characteristics together through motivation can have a direct and indirect effect on the performance of employees of the Batanghari District Land Office.

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the influence of leadership style and work environment through competence on lecturer performance. This research uses descriptive verification analysis. Data analysis was carried out using Path analysis and partial hypothesis testing with the help of the IBM SPSS Version 22 program. The results of the Path analysis showed a total effect of 27.27%. The results of the partial t test for leadership style and competency variables H0 are rejected, meaning that they have a significant influence on performance variables. Meanwhile, the work environment variable H1 is rejected, meaning that it does not have a significant effect on performance variables.
