Abstract

ABSTRAKKandidiasis merupakan suatu infeksi yang disebabkan oleh jenis mikroorganisme jamur Candida albicans. Jamur ini dapat tumbuh pada rongga mulut, saluran pencernaan, pernafasan dan genital wanita. Dewasa ini masyarakat lebih banyak tertarik menggunakan pengobatan tradisional karena dipercaya memiliki efek samping yang lebih rendah dan tidak dapat menimbulkan efek resistensi dibandingkan dengan obat sintetis. Daun kamboja putih memiliki senyawa yang berpotensi menghambat aktivitas mikroorganisme seperti flavonoid, tanin,saponin, dan alkaloid. Masyarakat Bali secara umum belum mengetahui manfaat tanaman kamboja di bidang kesehatan, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas ekstrak daun kamboja putih terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun kamboja putih (Plumeria acuminata) terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimental laboratorik secara in vitro dengan post test only group design. Pengujian menggunakan metode Kirby-Bauer dengan kertas cakram. Sampel daun diekstraksi dengan proses maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak daun kamboja memberikan daya hambat kuat terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans dengan terbentuknya zona bening sebesar 15,7 mm.Kata kunci: kandidiasis, Candida albicans, Plumeria acuminata, antifungiABSTRACTCandidiasis is an infection caused by a type of fungal microorganism Candida albicans. This fungi can grow in the oral cavity, digestive tract, respiratory and female genitalia. At this time more people are interested in using traditional medicine because it is believed to have lower side effects and can not cause resistance effects than synthetic drugs. White cambodia leaves have compounds that potentially inhibit the activity of microorganisms such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids. Balinese people generally do not know the benefits of cambodia in the field of health, so it is necessary to do research on the activity of white Cambodia leaf extract on the growth of Candida albicans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of white cambodia leaf extract (Plumeria acuminata) on the growth of Candida albicans. Type of laboratory experimental research is in vitro with post test only group design. Tests used the Kirby-Bauer method with paper discs. Leaves sample were extracted by maceration process using 96% ethanol. The results showed that cambodia leaf extract gave a strong inhibition effect on the growth of Candida albicans with the formation of clear zone of 15,7 mm. Abstract

The existence of Drinking Water Refill Depot (DAMIU) continues to increase appropriate with the dynamics of community needs for drinking water that has good quality and safe for consumption. Although it had a low price, not all DAMIU product guaranteed safety. DAMIU as an alternative choice to fulfill the community needs for drinking water becomes a risk that harmful to health if producen did not pay attention in DAMIU hygiene and sanitation. The purpose of this study was to analyze quality of bacteriological and sanitation hygiene at refill drinking water depot in Puskesmas II West Denpasar. Design of this research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional method. Sampling technique of this research is non probability sampling technique that is purposive sampling with 16 sample people. Collection data using a worker's hygiene questionnaire and environmental sanitation at refill drinking water depot and Laboratory inspection instruments with MPN E. coli and MPN Coliform Parameters. Data processing using Chi Square test to determine whether or not the correlation between two variables. Results of the study were from 16 samples of 14 (87.5%) qualified in bacteriological quality and 13 (81.2%) qualified in sanitary hygiene. The concluded was a significant correlation between bacteriological quality and sanitation hygiene at refill drinking water depot in Puskesmas II West Denpasar (p value of 0.002 <0.05). From the results advisable for drinking water refill operators to always implement hygiene behavior that include clean living behavior and for Denpasar Health Department to keep performing its role in conducting guidance and supervision of sanitary hygiene problem DAMIU periodically both physical inspection and water quality.Keywords: DAMIU, Hygiene Sanitation, Quality of Bacteriological

Abstract

Sumber mata air merupakan keadaan alami air tanah yang keluar ke permukaan dan dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Kualitas sumber mata air di uji berdasarkan parameter fisika, kimia dan biologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas sumber mata air meliputi kualitas fisika (baud an warna) kimia (nitrat, nitrit dan flourida) dan biologi (escheria dan coliform) kemudian membandingkannya dengan Permenkes  No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Desain penelitian ini adalah observasional. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel memenuhi uji parameter fisika, kimia dan biologi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu  secara keseluruhan sampel sumber mata air di Desa Baturiti memenuhi kriteria kualitas air minum yang di uji berdasarkan Permenkes No.492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Bagi masyrakat sekitar dapat memanfaatkan sumber mata air ini untuk memenuji kebutuhan sehari-hari. Bagi Puskesmas di wilayah tersebut perlu melakukan uji parameter lainnya agar memenuhi persyaratan kualitas air.Kata Kunci: Sumber Mata Air, Desa Baturiti, Kualitas Air

Abstract

Penyakit DBD telah menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat terutama di kota besar. Salah satu faktor terkait peningkatan kasus DBD yaitu sanitasi lingkungan. Desa Kesiman Kertalangu merupakan daerah endemis DBD karena terdapat kasus DBD selama kurun waktu 4 tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan crosssectional, yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Mei. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui hubungan anatara sanitasi lingkungan dengan keberadaan jentik nyamuk terhadap kejadian DBD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 60% responden memiliki sanitasi yang kurang baik, 30% memiliki sanitasi yang cukup baik dan 10% memiliki sanitasi yang baik. Mengenai hasil pemeriksaan jentik diketahui bahwa 34 rumah responden masih ditemukan jentik nyamuk. Berdasarkan perhitungan Chi Square test, diperoleh sig 0,00 (P<0,05) yang merupakan ada keterkaitan antara sanitasi lingkungan dengan keberadaan jentik nyamuk. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengelolaan lingkungan meliputi kegiatan pencegahan dan pemantauan pada tempat-tempat penampungan air. Kata Kunci  : DBD, Sanitasi Lingkungan, Keberadaan Jentik Nyamuk

Abstract

Rainwater Storage (PAH) by utilizing building roofs is generally an alternative in obtaining clean water sources that require little processing before being used for human purposes. The use of rainwater as an alternative source of water is very potential to be applied in Indonesia because tropical areas have high rainfall. In Klumpu Village, the community mostly uses PAH facilities to meet their daily needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the bacteriological quality of water in rainwater storage facilities (PAH) in Klumpu Village, Nusa Penida, by using a bacteriological laboratory test method by conducting biological and physical examinations and comparing with ministerial health regulations number 32 of 2017 concerning clean water quality requirements. The samples taken were 27 samples of PAH water in Klumpu Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency. The results showed that the PAH water quality in terms of physical parameters, the overall results of the sample were odorless, temperature within normal limits, and color with the TCU scale, the results were <1, while the bacteriological PAH water quality did not meet the requirements as clean water quality based on ministerial health regulations number 32 as much as 18 samples. Keywords : Bacteriological, Rainwater Reservoir Tank (PAH), Klumpu Village Nusa Penida

Abstract

Rumah sakit merupakan instansi pelayanan kesehatan yang cukup banyak menghasilkan limbah. Pengelolaan dan penanganan limbah rumah sakit saat ini menjadi perhatian internasional. Diperlukan sistem pengolahan limbah cair rumah sakit sehingga ketika di keluarkan ke lingkungan tidak memiliki dampak bagi lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas instalansi pengolahan air limbah di Rumah Sakit BaliMed Denpasar tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian cross sectional dan bersifat observasional. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan pengolahan air limbah rumah sakit dengan sistem biofilter di Rumah Sakit Balimed efektif dalam menurunkan kadar parameter yaitu suhu sebesar 9,28%, TDS sebesar 22,98%, TSS sebesar 89,69%, Amonia Nitrogen 98,61%, BOD sebesar 95,51%, COD sebesar 90,32%, senyawa aktif biru metilen sebesar 97,39%, minyak dan lemak sebesar 75%. Sistem pengolahan limbah cair masih belum efektif dalam menurunkan parameter pH yaitu mengalami kenaikan dari 7,64 menjadi 7,82 tetapi masih memenuhi baku mutu. Untuk dapat hasil outlet yang baik dan memenuhi standar baku mutu diharapkan tenaga sanitarian agar melakukan pemantauan atau pengecekan berkala sehingga mencegah terganggunya proses pengolahan air limbah. Kata Kunci : limbah rumah sakit, sistem pengolahan air limbah, efektivitas

Abstract

Penggunaan zat warna sintetis pada industri tekstil dapat menimbulkan masalah terhadap lingkungan. Limbah yang dihasilkan oleh pewarna sintetis menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan karena terdapat senyawa yang bersifat karsinogenik sehingga apabila limbah tersebut dibuang ke lingkungan akan menjadikan air bau, dampaknya terjadi penipisan oksigen terlarut, kualitas perairan menurun dan kematian makhluk hidup yang tinggal di dalamnya. Untuk mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan akibat penggunaan zat warna sintetis, maka digunakan zat warna alam yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Bonggol pisang merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam Indonesia yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif zat warna alam. Kandungan kimia yang terdapat pada bonggol pisang antara lain adalah tanin dan flavonoid (Putra, 2014). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji stabilitas zat warna alam bonggol pisang terhadap perbedaan lamanya ekstraksi, penambahan peroksida, pengaruh pH, dan jenis pelarut yang digunakan, serta menghitung kadar tanin yang terdapat pada ekstrak bonggol pisang. Untuk menguji stabilitas zat warna dan menentukan kadar tanin digunakan spektrofotometer uv-vis. Dari hasil penelitian lama ekstraksi, penambahan oksidator, pengaruh pH dan jenis pelarut mempengaruhi kestabilan warna dari zat warna alam bonggol pisang. Kadar tannin total pada ekstrak air bonggol pisang pada perendaman 24 jam diperoleh Sebesar 16,443 ± 0,428 GEA/g dan kadar tannin pada ekstrak etanol perendaman 8 jam diperoleh sebesar 194,919 ± 24,094 GEA/g.

Abstract

We have conducted research on natural dyes extraction of banana (Musa paradiasiaca L.) weevil. The rendement concentration, its color, and their functional groups were determined using phytochemical test and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. Extraction of natural dyes in the study was conducted by three methods namely maceration, reflux, and soxletation by using four kinds of extracting solvent including water, ethanol, acetone, and n-hexane. Color extract in water was dark brown, in ethanol and acetone was light brown, and in n-hexane was yellow. Each extract obtained by the three methods of each solvent was concentrated, their rendement were determined. The yields obtained by the maceration method using water was 8.12%, ethanol 2.40%, acetone 0.52%, and n-hexane 1.16%. The yields of the reflux method were 8.68%, 1.84%, 1.44%, and 1.04% respectively. The yields of the soxletation method were 4.80%, 1.12%, 0.44%, 0.56% respectively. The phytochemical test showed that the banana weevil dyes contained tannins and flavonoids. Absorption of the wavelength of energy ultra violet – visible detected at a wavelength between 200 nm up to 400 nm.

Abstract

Infections caused by Candida albicans have been increased dramatically worlwide. Acacia auriculiformis is an Indonesian Indigenous plant which has limited use only for fiber needs, especially for paper industry raw materials and as a protective plant. The use of Acacia auriculiformis as a traditional medicine, especially as an antifungal, is rarely reported. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of acacia leaf extract (Acacia auriculiformis) as an antifungal against Candida albicans growth and identification of its compound class. The potential of acacia leaf extract as antifungal was tested by Kirby-Bauer method using paper discs and identification of acacia leaf compound class was carried out by phytochemical test. The results showed that acacia leaf extract (Acacia auriculiformis) concentration of 1%, 5%, 10% have potential to be an antifungal against the growth of Candida albicans and the methanol extract compound of acacia leaves consists of saponins, tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids and phenolics. Abstract

Candida albicans is the main cause of candidiasis in Indonesia. Cases of infection due to Candida fungus have increased globally due to increasing cases of HIV / AIDS infection. White Cambodia is one type of plant that has various properties as a medicinal plant. So far several studies related to the effectiveness of natural antifungi have been carried out on the leaves of white frangipani plants. The effectiveness of antifungi in other white frangipani plant organs such as flowers is still rarely reported. The purpose of this study was to determine the saponin compound content of white frangipani flowers (Plumeria acuminata) and the effectiveness of these compounds on the growth of Candida albicans. The method used in this study: identification of antifungal saponin compounds was carried out by foam testing. Antifungal effectiveness test of saponin compounds on the growth of Candida albicans was tested by the Kirby-Bauer method. Quantitative data of inhibition zone diameters formed in each treatment were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) level of 5%. ANOVA analysis results were significantly different (P <0.05) followed by Duncan's test to see differences between treatments. The results showed that white frangipani saponins (Plumeria acuminata) had antifungal activity on Candida albicans as indicated by the emergence of a 7.7 mm inhibition zone (medium category).
