Abstract

Abstract: This quasi-experimental research aims to identify the basic Science Process Skills (KPS) of students pre-implementing virtual experiments at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The instrument used was a basic KPS test in the form of multiple choices. The research stages include the preparation stage and the implementation stage. The preparatory stage includes identifying problems, formulating problems, preliminary studies, determining samples, and making a test. Meanwhile, the implementation stage includes data collection and data analysis. There were 48 students of class XI MIPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru who participated in a series of activities in this study. There are four aspects chosen by researchers such as observation, classification, prediction, and communication. The results showed that the basic KPS results of the pre-implementation virtual experiment students were in the high category. Class XI MIPA 6 which produces an average score of basic KPS of 61.54. As well as class XI MIPA 7 which produces an average KPS score of 69.95.Keywords: Science Process Skills, Virtual Experiment.

Abstract

Abstract: The use of interactive powerpoint media in physics learning aims to improve students' conceptual understanding. Interpreting and classifying is an indicator of concept understanding that can help improve students' understanding of physics concepts, one of which is optical instrument material. The purpose of this study was to describe students' conceptual understanding of indicators of interpreting and classifying through the application of interactive powerpoint media to class XI optical instrument material at MAS PP Daarun Nahdhah Tawalib Bangkinang. There were 62 students who participated in this study in class XI MIPA in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year at MAS PP Daarun Nahdhah Tawalib Bangkinang, Kab. Kampar, Prov. Riau. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent posttest only control group design that involved 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was given treatment with the application of interactive powerpoint media while the control class used conventional learning. Based on the results of the students' conceptual understanding test on the indicators of interpreting and classifying, it was found that the average value of students' absorption in the experimental class was higher than the control class. The average value of the absorption power of the experimental class is 77,2 so that it is in the good category, while the average concept understanding test of the control class students on the indicators of interpreting and classifying is 63.3 and is in the good enough category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of interactive powerpoint media can improve students' conceptual understanding of the optical instrument material XI MAS PP Daarun Nahdhah Tawalib Bangkinang with good absorption category. Keywords: Interactive Powerpoint Media, Concept Understanding, Optical Instrument, Physics Learning

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the study was to describe the students' mastery of the concepts in class VII Islamic Middle School of Fullness by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model with the Probing technique. The design used is Quasi Experiment: Posttest only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII KeFullan Islamic Middle School for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a sample of 38 students consisting of class VII-A as the control class, totaling 19 students and class VII-B as the experimental class, totaling 19 students. student. The data collection instrument was a mastery test on the concept of temperature and heat, which consisted of 12 multiple choice questions which were tested for validity with a supervisor. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis through the average value of students' mastery of concepts and inferential analysis through normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests with the help of the SPSS 23 program. The results showed that learning increased as seen from the average mastery score Students' concepts in the experimental class applying Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning with the Probing technique have a score of 74.55% higher than the control class applying conventional learning a score of 63.59% and there is a significant difference in students' mastery of concepts between the experimental class and the control class .Keywords: Concept Mastery, Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Probing techniques.
