Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of human capital (education and work experience) on wages working on side jobs, either directly or the work productivity of lecturer at State University in Makassar. Sampel of 220 respondents was selected purvosive by population of lecturer PTN in the Makassar City minimally educated S2 degree and IIIC. By using SEM analysis (Structural Equation Model), the results showed that: (1) work experience and formal education PNS was given positive and significant impact on work productivity of lecturer. The implication lecturer competence is determined by factors of education and work experience. (2) However, only formal education have a significant effect on the wage side working, while the experience of working and labor productivity appears no effect. Gives an indication that there is no other way to fix the additional labor income lecturers, except by improving the competence through continuing education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peluang karir dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Sulawesi Barat dengan menjadikan motivasi dan kepuasan kerja sebagai mediasi. Penelitian dilakukan pada pegawai Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Sulawesi Barat dengan populasi berjumlah 108 orang. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 60 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung di lapangan, wawancara tatap muka langsung menggunakan google formulir dan konvensional. Pengukuran variabel menggunakan skala likert dan analis data menggunakan metode Structural Equation Model (SEM) berbasis varians dengan aplikasi SMART PLS ver. 3.3.3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peluang karir berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja melalui kepuasan kerja pegawai. peluang karir juga berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja melalui motivasi kerja. variabel lain yaitu kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, motivasi, kepuasan kerja, dan kinerja melalui kepuasan kerja pegawai, kompetensi juga berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja melalui motivasi kerja pegawai pada Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi implikasi pertimbangan manajerial instansi dalam mengelola kinerja pegawai sekaligus memberikan implikasi teoritis terkait kinerja pegawai

Abstract

Leadership is a leader’s ability to influence an individual or community to reach an aim together. Leadership is a style, an act, or an attitude of a leader to its members.  This study aims to analyze the leadership’s influence on job satisfaction and performance achievement at the University of West Sulawesi. This was conducted from October to November 2021 at the University of West Sulawesi. There were 60 participants involving 20 leaders, 20 staff, and 20 students. The participants were taken randomly or it is called random sampling technique with cluster technique. The data in this study was primary data and it was taken through participants’ responses to a questionnaire. The data were analyzed quantitatively with the inferential statistics method. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a variance-based approach or component-based approach through Partial Least Square. The result of the study shows that leadership influences significantly on job satisfaction and performance achievement at the University of West Sulawesi. Moreover, job satisfaction also influences significantly on job satisfaction. Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Leadership, Performance, University of West Sulawesi

Abstract

Poverty and economic growth are important indicators of a country’s development success. To achieve development, countries strive to optimize economic growth and reduce poverty. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of population and unemployment on poverty and economic growth in South Sulawesi. Data from South Sulawesi Central Bureau of Statistics. This study utilizes a quantitative survey using the path analysis method. The results of this study show that demographic variables have a negative and significant impact on poverty. The unemployment rate variable has no significant positive impact on poverty. Variables such as population, unemployment and poverty have a negative and significant impact on economic growth. At the same time, population and unemployment have a large impact on poverty. At the same time, population, unemployment and poverty have a significant impact on economic growth.

Abstract

South Buton Regency has great potential to optimize the tourism sector. Apart from presenting stunning natural scenery, tourism also positively impacts various aspects of life, including increasing the economy through the income sector, increasing employment opportunities, promoting regional culture, and developing infrastructure. This study aims to identify strategic factors, which are strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats, and then formulate priority tourism development strategies to increase local revenue (PAD) at the South Buton Regency Tourism Office. Primary data is used through field observations and interviews, while secondary data is obtained from previous research, books, and related agencies. The results of the study indicate alternative strategies that can be considered, including increasing cultural ecotourism programs as well as improving infrastructure and marketing, promotion and awareness campaign strategies to promote South Buton Regency as an attractive tourist destination, attractions diversification strategies to attract more tourists and increase repeat visits and increase promotion through social media with an emphasis on the uniqueness of local appeal.
