Abstract

This research is based on research on curiosity towards the use of think writing method in biographical text learning in class X. The formulation of the method can be used to talk about it. in learning biographical texts? Method for learning on biographical texts on class X students from SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi. The method used is the experimental method. This study uses the design of one group pretest-posttest. The research data is quantitative data that is analyzed through statistical analysis techniques. Class X TEI-B with a total of 27 students being used as research samples. The results of the initial test and the final test were compared with the average initial test 38 and the average final test 75. So, it can be concluded that the Think Talk Write method is effectively used in learning to write biographical texts.

Abstract

Web comic is one of media of communication that can attract both children and adults. It may contain humor. Humor itself may be created by flouting the cooperative principles. This study aimed to explore the types of maxims flouting of Grice’s maxims in Pearls before Swine web comic and their contributions to create humor in the comic. This study was descriptive qualitative research in the form of discourse analysis. 30 episodes of the comic were used as data. The data were then collected and analyzed under three big steps proposed by Miles and Huberman (1994, p. 10). The results of the study revealed that all types of maxims were flouted in web comic. The most prominent flouting was the flouting of relevance maxim, then followed by the flouting of quantity maxim, manner maxim, and quality maxim became the least maxim that was flouted. Maxim of quality contributed to create humor as in the flouting there were sarcastic words which were intentionally used to trigger funny situation. The use of flouting of quantity maxim was indicated on the use of exaggeration which enhanced the information and blown thing up beyond the response needed. Relevance maxim was flouted by using both facetiousness and repartee. Meanwhile, in the flouting of manner maxim, the contributions were on the use of insult and pun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kesulitan siswa dalam menulis puisi yang salah satu penyebabnya adalah pembelajaran menulis puisi di dalam kelas kurang meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, hal ini dikarenakan penggunaan media dan metode yang diberikan guru di dalam kelas kurang variatif sehingga siswa merasa jenuh. Guru harus kreatif memilih media yang efektif dan sesuai dengan pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan. Salah satu alternatif media yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi yaitu dengan menggunakan media audio visual yakni media video kekayaan alam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis puisi siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan media video kekayaan alam. Metode yang digunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Desain. Data penelitian berupa hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan menulis puisi siswa, dan hasil observasi aktivitas guru. Hasil penelitian menguji hipotesis yaitu mengetahui apakah media video kekayaan alam dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa.Kata kunci: media, video kekayaan alam, menulis puisi

Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted as extracurricular activities motivated by the forces of the flag raisers aimed at forming attitudes of students due to the low nationalism nationalistic attitudes among students. The problems of this study was the effect of extracurricular activities troop flag raisers nationalism in shaping attitudes of students in SMP 12 Pekanbaru. As for the population and sample in this research that students who take paskibra extracurricular activities are 30 people with a sampling technique that technique saturated samples (total sampling). And Data collected through observations, questionnaires and interviews and technical literature. In analyzing the data using simple linear regression analysis. These results indicate that there are significant extracurricular activities troop flag raisers in shaping the attitudes of nationalism students in SMP 12 Pekanbaru, this is evidenced by a series of simple regression test between the variables X and Y, obtained F count = 9.753 and the value F table = 4 , 20 were obtained from the study of the distribution list F table with N = 30, at significance level of 5%, F count larger than F table or 9.753> 4.20 then Ho is rejected and Ha received significant meaning, there are significant extracurricular activities troop flag raisers in shaping students' attitudesnationalism in the State smp 12 pekanbaru.Keywords: Extracurricular Paskibra, Attitude NationalismRizka Fauziah¹, Sri Erlinda², Gimin³ Program Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study INFLUENCE OF FORCES EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIESFLAG RAISERS
