Abstract

In some university students’ project papers, violations of rules of Indonesian language grammar are still found. The ignorance to write a grammatically correct project paper on an ongoing basis will adversely affect the quality of the students' writing. A good project paper, both its content and language use provides an overview of the insights of the students. Students must equip their cognitives in order to be able to understand the concept of the language well. This becomes the basis of observation of violation of Indonesian language rules in student's project papers of Universitas Riau through. The method used in this research is the qualitative descriptive method. The focus of observation is on the beginning parts of the project papers especially dealing. The research findings reveal that some disobedience of rules of spelling and punctuation, namely: disobedience academic title, name of the self, shortening, preposition, word absorption, foreign word, numbering, reduplication, separation marks, commas, and spaces.

Abstract

This research was motivated by technological advances that have influenced traditional games' popularity as symbols of culture, so it is necessary to preserve and maintain them through the quality of knowledge. How can the quality of possession of knowledge of Malay symbols in the field of play among FKIP Riau University students be formulated? The research objective was to analyze and describe the quality of possession of knowledge of Malay symbols in the field of play among FKIP students at the University of Riau. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach—observation of knowledge with a likert scale. The observation sample was 870 people from a population of 6300 people or 13.8% of 100%. The sample was taken randomly based on questionnaire filling and collection. The technique of collecting data employed a questionnaire related to the traditional games of the Riau Malay community. The process of collecting data distributed through a google form. The collected data were substituted and analyzed with descriptive statistics, Product Moment, and Anova. The analysis results showed that students' knowledge regarding traditional games of the Malay community as a cultural symbol was at a standard of mean 4.37 with a very high category. The games of gasing, bakiak, congkak, enggrang, layang-layang, tarik tambang, petak umpet, benteng, ligu, and statak can contribute information to knowledge ownership of the games of the Riau Malay community by 35.9%. In comparison, other games were at 64.1%. The possession of this knowledge has supported documenting various games and preserving the existence of these games. Besides, the content of values ​​in the game is a means of character education and supports learning and learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi membangun pola berpikir kritis di kalangan guru sekolah menengah atas dalam pembelajaran kreatif. Cara ini sebagai upaya kreativitas guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Tindakan yang dilakukan untuk penelitian ini melalui metode deskripif terhadap berbagai fenomena yang ada pada data. Subjek penelitian merupakan guru-guru sekolah menengah atas yang berada di kota Pekanbaru dan kabupaten Kampar. Masing-masing wilayah diambil sampel yang seimbang, yaitu 54 guru sehingga total sampel 108 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket berskala Likert. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pola berpikir kreatif di kalangan guru tingkat menengah melalui pembelajaran kreatif lebih banyak berorientasi pada usaha memberikan respon terhadap berbagai aktivitas dann masalah dalam pembelajaran, kemudian diikuti dengan membangun pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa, berpikir yang dinamis, dan beradaptasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Kemudian, aspek menggunakan pemikiran literal, mencari alternatif kegiatan yang kreatif, dan melakukan hipotesis strategi pembelajaran tergolong rendah setingkat dibandingkan dengan empat poin sebelumnya. Namun demikian, sebagai orang yang berupaya mencerdaskan anak bangsa melalui bekal pengetahuan dan pengalaman, para guru sekolah menengah atas di kota Pekanbaru dan Kecamatan Kampar berada pada standar sangat tinggi dengan mean 4,14 dengan standar deviasi 0,628 dalam berpikir kritis. Keadaan ini menunjukkan para guru berupaya membangun pola berpikir kritis dalam menghadirkan pembelajaran kreatif.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, guru, pembelajaran kreatif This study to describe strategies for building critical thinking patterns among high school teachers in creative learning. This method is an effort of teacher creativity in improving the quality of learning. Actions taken for this research are through descriptive methods of various phenomena that exist in the data. The research subjects were high school teachers in Pekanbaru city and Kampar district. Each region was taken with a balanced sample, namely 54 teachers so that the total sample was 108 people. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that creative thinking patterns among middle-level teachers through creative learning are more oriented towards efforts to respond to various activities and problems in learning, then followed by building student understanding and knowledge, dynamic thinking, and adapting to solve problems. Then, the aspect of using literal thinking, looking for alternative creative activities, and hypothesizing learning strategies is low level compared to the previous four points. However, as people who seek to educate the nation's children through the provision of knowledge and experience, high school teachers in Pekanbaru City and Kampar District are at very high standards with a mean of 4.14 with a standard deviation of 0.628 in critical thinking. This situation shows the teachers are trying to build a pattern of thinking in presenting creative learning.Keywords: critical thinking, teacher, creative learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the quality of learning planning among top-level teachers in Siak Regency, Riau Province. The research method used is descriptive qualitative to the research response instrument. The main sources of research are teachers in the upper-level education unit of Siak Regency, Riau Province, who opened 142 people. The data collection technique was using a Likert questionnaire. The instrument used is based on the provisions of the teacher and lecturer law. Data analysis through descriptive statistics. The research findings revealed that quality of making lesson plans of senior high school teachers in Siak regency belong to the very high category 4.304 or 86.10%. The lesson plans aimed to match teaching material with predetermined competencies, allocate time effectively and efficiently, decide media/ tools as well as teaching materials, describe learning objectives and in detail, decide assessment techniques in accordance with the demands of the curriculum, organize teaching materials based on sequences and groups, decide appropriate teaching methods, design learning procedures in accordance with competencies required, and decide appropriate references (textbooks, modules, computer program and so forth) to be used. These findings show that making a lesson plan requires creativity and pedagogical skills. Creativity and motivation lead to positive action in presenting quality, realistic, and concrete lesson plans.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen informasi yang dilakukan mahasiswa untuk penguatan pemahaman mereka saat belajar di masa pandemi covid 19. Metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian 169 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesi FKIP Universitas Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket berskala Likert. Analisis data dengan cara mengamati setiap butir-butir angket melalui statistik deskriptif, analisis faktor, analisis korelasi, analisis uji t satu sampel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan data demografi rata-rata berkategori tinggi, yaitu 3,89645, kemudian upaya mengumpulkan informasi 4,08; melengkapi dan menambah informasi 4,27; menginterpretasi dan mensentesis informasi 3,72; mengevaluasi informasi 3,66; mengidentifikasi dan memetakan manfaat informasi 3,58. Dilihat dari analisis faktor, semua komponen dapat menjadi penentu dalam manajemen informasi untuk penguatan pemahaman belajar dengan nilai > 0,50. Pada analisis korelasi dan uji t satu sampel bahwa seluruh data berkorelasi dan diyakini memiliki peran yang signifikansi yang ditandai dengan 0,000 < 0,05. Upaya manajemen informasi di masa pandemi covid 19 dapat menjadi penguat pemahaman mahasiswa dalam belajar

Abstract

The research objective is to foster student learning activities through the TIE (Translation, Interpretation, Extrapolation) method. The research method used was descriptive correlational method. The research sample consisted of 75 people. The data instrument was in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire which consisted of the aspects of translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. Data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, Product Moment correlation, chi square normality, and Anova. The result of the study showed that the average score for translation was 3,767 which was in the high category; the average score for interpretation was 4,075 categorized as very high; and the exploration average score was 4,065 categorized as very high. Overall, it was at an average of 3,969 which was in the high category. If the translation, interpretation, and extrapolation activities were carried out properly, it could build up to 99,3% of learning activities. In conlcusion, the TIE method is important to apply in independent learning activities because it can stimulate students' cognition and psychomotor to achieve better learning quality. In addition, it can present insightful and experienced students.

Abstract

Inovasi sebagai suatu terobosan yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam mendorong perbaikan pendidikan. Berbagai strategi dapat dilakukan guru dalam rangga menghadirkan inovasi. Inovasi yang dilakukan guru sebagai suatu yang perlu dideskripsikan. Maka, penelitian ini berupaya mendeskripsikan berbagai strategi guru yang mendorong aktivitas inovatif. Metode penelitian berupa survei dengan dilengkapi instrumen strategi berinovasi para guru Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Pekanbaru. Sampel guru sebagai informan berjumlah 108 orang diambil secara random.  Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data berupa angket berskala Likert. Analisis instrumen berkategori valid dengan berbagai varian kategori Alfa Cronbach’s (>0,400) dan Chi-kuadrat 20620,625 (p>0,05). Analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis korelasi Product Moment, deskriptif-mean dan standar deviasi, Anova satu arah, dan koefisien diterminan (R) untuk mengindikasikan potensi pengaruh yang ditimbulkan masing-masing dimensi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dimensi untuk berinovasi di sekolah menengah atas secara umum berkategori sangat tinggi (4,722) pada SD 0,302. Hasil implementasi memperlihatkan dimensi penataan tugas tidak signifikan dalam strategi berinovasi baik antar kelompok maupun dalam kelompok. Ditinjau dari koefisien diterminan lebih rendah (0,084) dibandingkan dimensi lain. Hal ini memperlihatkan strategi selain penataan tugas dapat menjadi pemicu dalam berinovasi di Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas berdaya nalar dalam kegiatan belajar saat daring. Kegiatan bernalar mencakup disiplin diri, berpikir kritis, dam berpikir kreatif. Desain tindakan penelitian dengan metode survei. Terdapat 169 mahasiswa yang terangkum secara acak berdasarkan partisipasi responden dalam mengikuti survei, terdiri dari 19 laki-laki dan dengan persentase 11,23% dan 150 perempuan dengan persentase 88,8%. Sumber data berasal dari tanggapan para responden yang mengisi instrumen. Teknis analisis menggunakan melalui analisis faktor pada instrumen, korelasi Product Moment, deskriptif-mean dan standar deviasi, serta Anova satu arah untuk mendapatkan gambaran signifikansi faktor-faktor tersebut. Hasilnya menunjukkan tiga komponen utama yang menjadi dasar analisis dan pemetaan terhadap daya nalar di kalangan mahasiswa dalam belajar saat daring berada pada rata-rata 4,035 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Data RMSEA 0,08 dan tidak melebihi 0,08 yang menunjukkan instrumen berkategori baik dan valid pada nilai AR di atas 0,4 dan AVE di atas 0,5. Melalui Anova diketahui nilai F 0,000 < 0,05, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Masing-masing faktor tersebut memiliki karakteristik tersendiri ketika diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan belajar.

Abstract

UNIESCO and WHO records show Covid-19 has a major impact on learning activities. This condition changes the learning order of students. So the role of creative and critical thinking is needed in fostering the quality of learning. Students must maximize themselves in order to remain knowledgeable and insightful in accordance with the target learning outcomes. This observation was carried out on a sample of 73 students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The analysis was carried out with descriptive statistics, namely substituting all respondents' answers for processing. To see the relevance and relevance of the instrument to the problem of fostering learning quality through creative and critical thinking using the Product Moment correlation method, normality with chi squared, variable role predictions through ANOVA. The results of the analysis show that the role of the creative and critical thinking variables provides a significant contribution in fostering the quality of learning up to 97.5% at an average standard of 4.168. Overall the observed variables were at a very high standard. Students have been doing creative and critical thinking activities to build or maintain the quality of their learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research is motivated by learning activities that cannot be done arbitrarily but must refer to the applicable curriculum. A teacher must be able to conduct orientation activities in implementing curriculum in educational units to meet the maximum curriculum demands. The aim is to find out the orientation capabilities of the teacher. The action was carried out with a descriptive qualitative approach. The main instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The research sample was 108 teachers of senior high school in Pekanbaru. Data analysis was performed by observing each questionnaire item that was filled out by the respondent. The results of the analysis showed that running the applicable curriculum in the education unit was 3.93; sort out content according to future demands was 3.92; looking for material according to curriculum demands was 4,50; adjust curriculum requirements to the conditions and environment was 4.51; and preparing various learning devices was 4.70. The average teacher's ability in the context of orienting the implementation of the learning curriculum was at 4.31 with a very high category. The teachers try positively and significantly carry out the demands of the curriculum to the maximum. The success of the learning curriculum lies in the success of the teacher in following and implementing it in the field. Various skills, knowledge, and experience also influence the teacher in carrying out the demands of the curriculum
