Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the learning interest of class VII Junior High School students in mathematics learning KPK and FPB byusing indicators of learning interest namely feeling happy, student interest, study involvement, diligent in learning and doing mathematical assignmens, diligent and learning discipline in learning. Research methods for analysis using descriptive qualitative methods, with the instrument used ini the form of quaestionnaires containing positive and negative statements to analyze student’s interest inlearning mathematics. Sampel subjects in the study were seventh grade SMP IT Daarul Fikri Bandung totaling 22 people. The result obtained from the study that the interest in learning mathematics assisted by VBA Excl on the material of KPK and FPB is good.

Abstract

This research has a purpose to analyze student interest in learning with the media ICT based VBA excel on theory KPK and FPB which is conducted method using method descriptive qualitative This research was conducted at Cokoaminoto Integrated Middle School in West Bandung Regency with a population of 20 students of class VII. The research instruments provided were Questionnaire interest in learning consists of 20 questions with 5 indicators related to ICT media -based Excel VBA and provided 4 student answer choices namely strongly agree (SS), agree (S), disagree (TS) and strongly disagree (STS. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained. namely, with indicators of feeling happy reaching 74.1%, indicators of student interest reaching 74.5%, indicators of student involvement reaching 72.8%, indicators of diligence in learning reaching 66.7%, indicators of perseverance and discipline reaching 73.7%. Then it can be concluded that by using ICT medi a -based Excel VBA can influence student learning interest in ongoing learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning interests of Class IV Elementary students in learning mathematics on the KPK and FPB material assisted by the VBA Excel application by using 20 indicators of learning interest. The research method for analysis uses descriptive qualitative method, with the instrument used in the form of giving questionnaires containing positive and negative statements to analyze students' interest in learning mathematics. The sample subject in the study was grade IV Cibungur State Primary School located in West Bandung with the number of students 29 people. Abstract

Interest in learning is one of the soft skills that are important for students to have. Because interest in learning will make it easier for students to achieve learning goals. While a lack of interest in learning can result in a lack of interest in a person in a particular field, it can even lead to rejection of the teacher. The focus of our research on the research sample is to determine the criteria for student interest in learning. This research is motivated by most elementary school (SD) students who do not like learning mathematics because mathematics is a subject that deals with numbers. This shows that students are less interested in learning mathematics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a sample of 11 people. The results of this study indicate the criteria for student interest in learning with the help of VBA are in the high category because the average percentage accumulation is 85.34%. The VBA application is a learning medium that is arguably something new for elementary students in general. So that when the media is used in learning, it can attract students to pay attention and follow learning well.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa SMP yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan open ended. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP kelas VIII yang ada di Kabupaten Bandung, sebagai sampelnya ialah salah satu sekolah yang ada di Kabupaten Bandung, kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh perlakuan dengan pendekatan open ended dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan perlakuan dengan pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretes and postes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik berjumlah 5 butir soal uraian. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretes dan postes kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan software microsoft excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan open ended lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Kata kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah, pendekatan open ended, pendekatan saintifik. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to examine the achievement of mathematical problem-solving abilities of junior high school students whose learning uses the open-ended approach. The subjects of this study were all eighth-grade junior high school students in Bandung regency, the sample was one of the schools in Bandung regency, class VIII A as an experimental class that received treatment with an open-ended approach and class VIII B as a control class that received treatment with a scientific approach. The instrument used in this study was in the form of a test of mathematical problem-solving abilities totaling 5 items of description items. Data obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest are then processed using Microsoft Excel software. The results showed that the achievement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities for learning using the open-ended approach was better than learning using the scientific approach. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to solve math problems in class IX junior high school students in solving problems on statistics material. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects for this study were class IX students at SMPN 3 Cimahi consisting of 35 students. The data collection technique used is to test the instrument of mathematical problem solving ability test questions in the form of a written test consisting of 4 essay questions. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities could be said to be still low. This can be seen from the students who get low criterion ratings on two indicators, namely indicators that identify the adequacy of data to solve problems which obtain a proportion of 37.86% and indicators for making a mathematical model of a problem and solving it which obtains a proportion of 34.29%

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a difference between the average mathematical understanding of students who use iSpring Suite-assisted teaching materials and the average mathematical understanding of students who use iSpring Suite-assisted teaching materials. Comparative quantitative research (comparison) was used to establish this type of research. The population of this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Parongpong. Data analysis was performed using a two-tailed t-test with conditions of normality and homogeneity tests. The normality test shows that 𝐻𝑜 is accepted, then the homogeneity test shows an average of 0.106 and a median of 0.729. The results showed that there was a difference in the average understanding of mathematics between students who used iSpring Suite-assisted teaching materials and those who did not. The one-tailed t test shows that the average mathematical understanding of students who use iSpring Suite assisted teaching materials is better than the average mathematical understanding of students who do not use iSpring Suite assisted teaching materials.

Abstract

The lack of students' mathematical problem solving abilities causes difficulties in solving problems, especially with statistical data. The research objective is to describe students' abilities in solving mathematical problems related to statistics. Qualitative methods are used as research methods. Participants who were taken as research subjects consisted of 80 class VIII students of SMPN 1 Parongpong. Subjects were divided into three groups, namely students with high abilities (10), students with moderate abilities (45), and students with low abilities (25). Data collection techniques used test questions in the form of student math problem solving tests and questions in the form of essay tests. The results showed that overall the students' mathematical problem solving abilities were in the high category, totaling 8 people with a percentage of 10% with a criterion score of less than 79.43. The ability to solve mathematical problems in the moderate category is 42 students with a percentage of 52.5% and an initial score of 36.56 to less than 79.43. On the other hand, there are 30 students in the low category with math problem solving abilities which have a percentage of 37.5%, and an initial score of less than 36.5.

Abstract

Thinking Mathematical creativity is a thinking skill whose goal is to solve a problem with several ideas, generate various ideas, be able to create new habits and have nothing in common with others and be able to develop ideas. Indicators of students' mathematical creative thinking abilities include 4 aspects, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to think creatively in class VII junior high school students in solving flat shape problems. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The test used in this test is a creative thinking test which presents questions to students in class in the form of a written test in grade VIII of a SMPN 1 Parongpong school. The results of the research show that the students' creative reasoning in a system of linear equations is still weak, because the students' answers are correct. gets the maximum score, fluency index is 45%, flexibility is 45%, originality is 29%, and the lowest percentage is elaboration which is 3%. This is an indicator of unfulfilled student progress.
