Abstract

Clubhouse became increasingly popular since the beginning of 2021, especially in Indonesia. After being popularized by public figures who opened live discussions and chats through this audio-based platform, Clubhouse rose in popularity. However, not everyone can become a Clubhouse user, because this platform can only be downloaded by Apple devices and must be invited by users who already have a Clubhouse account. This requirement increases the demand for Clubhouse invitations. Some even sell these invitations online at varying prices. This paper attempts to examine the phenomenon of Clubhouse popularity using Jean Baudrillard's perspective. This descriptive qualitative approach analyzes Clubhouse's popularity using Jean Baudrillard's perspective about consumer society. The results of this study indicate that the consumer society conceived by Baudrillard is still relevant in dissecting the Clubhouse phenomenon. Its exclusivity makes the users use Clubhouse not because of the features offered, but based on the desire to be different from others by affirming their social class. Becoming a Clubhouse user means using Apple products and being part of the upper class by following the latest social media trends. This phenomenon illustrates that capitalism continues to work to create endless needs under the guise of exclusivity to make its consumers feel special and different.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the go-digital Palembang Program for MSME actors during the COVID-19 pandemic and the supporting and inhibiting factors for program implementation. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that this program has not been effective. Analysis of the supporting factors shows that this program provides convenience for business actors in marketing their products, so that support comes from business actors who are enthusiastic about this program, but from the results of the study it was also found that inhibiting factors were obstacles in its implementation, including lack of socialization, low mastery of technology. MSME actors, program budget reductions due to the pandemic, lack of implementing human resources, and lack of enthusiasm for consumer support for the digital media website used. The Palembang Go-Digital program as an effort to develop MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic needs to be evaluated because existing obstacles can become obstacles to increasing MSME businesses in developing and maintaining business sustainability.

Abstract

Kebijakan WFH (Work From Home) dan SFH (School From Home) yang diberlakukan oleh pemerintah Indonesia selama masa pandemi membuat beban ganda yang dijalankan oleh dosen perempuan semakin berat. Sebagai seorang ibu, dosen perempuan kini memiliki kewajiban baru untuk mengawasi dan membimbing anak-anaknya selama sekolah daring. Beban ganda yang makin berat di masa pandemi ini dapat berkurang jika akademisi perempuan memiliki pola komunikasi keluarga yang baik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi fenomenologi yang membahas pengalaman komunikasi keluarga pada akademisi perempuan dalam menghadapi beban ganda selama pandemi Covid-19. Komunikasi keluarga dianalisis berdasarkan enam dimensi, yaitu listening skill, speaking skill, self-disclosure, clarity, continuity tracking, dan respect or regard. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan kepada tiga akademisi perempuan untuk mendapatkan pengalaman mereka menjalani beban ganda di masa pandemi dan bagaimana komunikasi keluarga turut berperan di tengah situasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga informan akademisi perempuan dalam penelitian ini memiliki pemaknaan yang berbeda-beda mengenai beban ganda yang mereka jalani. Berdasarkan enam dimensi komunikasi keluarga, tiga informan dalam penelitian memiliki komunikasi keluarga yang baik sehingga keluarga mampu memberikan kekuatan tersendiri dan mendukung akademisi perempuan dalam menjalankan beban gandanya di masa pandemi Covid-19.The implementation of theWork From Home and School From Home policies imposed by the Indonesian government during the pandemic have made the double burden of female academic lecturers even havier. As a mother, female academic lecturers now have a new obligation to supervise and guide their children during online school. The double burden that is getting havier during this pandemic can be reduced if female academics have good family communication patterns. This research is a phenomenological study that discusses the experience of family communication in female academics facing a double burden during the Covid-19 pandemic. Family communication was analyzed based on six dimensions: listening skills, speaking skills, self-disclosure, clarity, continuity tracking, and respect or regard. In-depth interviews were conducted with three female academics to gain their experience of undergoing a double burden during a pandemic and how family communication plays a role during this situation. The results showed that this study's three female academic informants had different meanings about the double burden as an academician and as a mother. Based on the six dimensions of family communication, the three informants in the study had good family communication. The family provided its own strength and supported female academics in carrying out their double burden during the Covid-19 pandemic

The study was conducted to see how one androgynous individual, Jovi Adhiguna, represented his resistance to gender stereotypes through his Instagram. This qualitative study applies the critical discourse analysis from S.Jager and F.Maier in analyzing the content on @joviadhiguna Instagram account as the data. This study uses Stuart Hall's representation theory. The results showed that Jovi visualized his androgynous style and expressed a resistance form to gender stereotypes in criticism conveyed through Instagram content.

Abstract

Instagram, sebuah platform media sosial berbasis foto dan video, merupakan salah satu media sosial yang jadi tren di kalangan politisi perempuan sebagai media komunikasi politik. Terdapat banyak literatur mengenai penggunaan Instagram oleh para politisi, termasuk juga politisi perempuan, khususnya ketika kampanye menjelang pemilihan umum. Namun, masih sedikit literatur yang meneliti penggunaan media sosial oleh politisi perempuan setelah mereka duduk di bangku legislatif. Untuk mengisi kekosongan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana politisi perempuan, dalam hal ini perempuan anggota legislatif, menggunakan Instagram sebagai media komunikasi politik pasca pemilihan umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan multiple case study dengan mengevaluasi konten foto, video, dan keterangan konten yang diunggah ke Instagram dari sembilan perempuan anggota legislatif yang masing-masingnya berasal dari sembilan partai politik yang berbeda. Dalam mengambil data, penelitian ini menggunakan alat bantu perangkat lunak bernama Instagram Scrapper yang secara otomatis mengumpulkan gambar, video, teks, komentar, dan jumlah likes pada akun Instagram dari sembilan perempuan anggota legislatif dalam jangka waktu Januari 2020 hingga Desember 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa politisi perempuan menggunakan Instagram untuk mengunggah konten yang bervariasi, tidak hanya mengenai politik. Dalam penelitian ini, terlihat bahwa perempuan anggota legislatif mengunggah konten-konten yang dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai konten atribut feminin, konten politik berupa kegiatan sebagai anggota legislatif, atribut keagamaan, atribut nasionalisme, hingga gaya hidup sosialita.Kata Kunci: Politisi Perempuan, Komunikasi Politik, Media Sosial, Instagram, Analisis Konten

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Salah satu kendala dalam pengembangan industri halal di Indonesia yaitu sumber daya manusia (SDM), di mana masih banyaknya SDM yang belum kompeten dalam pengembangan industri halal, terutama pada pelaku usaha kecil. Mengembangkan SDM unggul menjadi salah satu kunci utama pengembangan industri halal. Pengembangan industri halal di Indonesia harus dilakukan dengan inovatif dan kompetitif. Pelaku usaha industri halal diharapkan memiliki standar kinerja inovasi yang mumpuni agar dapat memanfaatkan momentum masa pasca pandemi Covid-19 sebagai titik kebangkitan industri halal pasca pandemi Covid-19. Untuk mendukung adanya inovasi dan terwujudnya kinerja inovasi bagi pengembangan industri halal di Indonesia, dibutuhkan SDM yang memiliki kompetensi. Pengembangan kompetensi SDM sangat tergantung dengan komitmen dan kapabilitas dinamik dari pelaku industri halal. Dalam persaingan bisnis global khususnya pemulihan pasca pandemi Covid-19, pelaku industri halal selain memerhatikan struktur industri, juga harus melihat perspektif internal dengan menelaah secara seksama sumber daya yang dimilikinya dan bagaimana mengombinasikannya untuk memperoleh kompetensi inti dan keunggulan kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kapabilitas dinamik yang terdiri dari adaptive capabilities, absorptive capabilities, dan innovative capabilities secara langsung terhadap kinerja inovasi maupun secara tidak langsung melalui kompetensi sumber daya manusia sebagai variabel mediasi. Grand Theory yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori resource-based view. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 170 pelaku industri halal skala kecil di Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini diolah dengan teknik analisis Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adaptive capabilities berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi SDM dan kinerja inovasi. Sedangkan absorptive capabilities berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi SDM, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja inovasi. Selanjutnya innovative capabilities berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja inovasi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi SDM. Kompetensi SDM hanya menjadi variabel intervening antara pengaruh adaptive capabilities dan absorptive capabilities terhadap kinerja inovasi.   Kata Kunci: Kapabilitas Dinamik, Kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia, Kinerja Inovasi, Industri Halal, Pandemi Covid-19   ABSTRACT   One of the obstacles in the development of the halal industry in Indonesia is human resources (HR), where there are still many HR who are not competent in developing the halal industry, especially small business entrepreneurs. Developing superior human resources is one of the main keys to developing the halal industry. The development of the halal industry in Indonesia must be carried out in an innovative and competitive manner. Halal industry business entrepreneurs are expected to have qualified innovation performance standards so they can take advantage of the post-Covid-19 pandemic momentum as a revival point for the halal industry after the Covid-19 pandemic. To support innovation and realize innovation performance for the development of the halal industry in Indonesia, competent human resources are needed. HR competency development is highly dependent on the commitment and dynamic capabilities of halal industry entrepreneurs. In global business competition, especially in the post-pandemic recovery of Covid-19, apart from paying attention to industry structure, halal industry players must also look at the internal perspective by carefully examining the resources they have and how to combine them to gain core competencies and competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the effect of dynamic capabilities consisting of adaptive capabilities, absorptive capabilities, and innovative capabilities directly on innovation performance and indirectly through human resource competence as a mediating variable. The grand theory used in this study is the resource based view theory. The sample in this study were 170 small-scale halal industry entrepreneurs in South Sumatra. This research was processed using the Structural Equation Modeling analysis technique. The research results show that adaptive capabilities have a significant effect on HR competence and innovation performance. Meanwhile, absorptive capabilities have a significant effect on HR competence, but do not have a significant effect on innovation performance. Furthermore, innovative capabilities have a significant effect on innovation performance, but do not have a significant effect on HR competence. HR competency is only an intervening variable between the effect of adaptive capabilities and absorptive capabilities on innovation performance.   Keywords : Dynamic Capability, Human Resource Competence, Innovation Performance, Halal Industry, Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Along with the increasing number of victims of COVID-19, the amount of information requested by the public on social media also continues to increase. The emergence of various hoaxes that can influence individual behavior is also an urgent reason for the government to come and contribute. Although the urgency of the government's presence on social media at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic has been recognized, not many studies have looked at this presence, especially whether their presence is beneficial. For this reason, the goal to be achieved in this research is whether local governments provide sufficient and appropriate information required by the Indonesian during the pandemic. This study analyzes the Twitter accounts of local governments in Indonesia that have implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) by taking tweets for content analysis and replies, retweets, and likes, to see the stakeholder engagement index (SEI). The results of this study indicate that information about reporting on the situation is the content most commonly shared by local governments through their Twitter accounts. The findings also show that the Tangerang Regency Government Twitter account has the highest Stakeholder Engagement Index, indicating the high level of public participation in information shared by the government through Twitter social media accounts. Academically this research fills the gaps between communication streams in crises by providing the need for and availability of information that, in practical terms, can be used to guide the creation of social media content during a pandemic.

Abstract

This community service intends to educate MSME actors in Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Ogan Ilir Regency about how to combat the COVID-19 epidemic through the use of creativity, innovation, and digital transformation. The program was separated into three stages: identification and analysis of problems, coaching and evaluation. The problem identification and analysis process involved interviews with community various stakeholders and village government officials, and revealed five major issues: a lack of public understanding of entrepreneurship development, a lack of innovation and technological use, difficulties with promotion (marketing), limited human resources and low quality, and low management quality. Coaching is conducted by the provision of three materials: creativity, innovation, and digital transformation, which comprise an understanding of the situation, as well as solutions and development strategies. Then, after comparing the data before and after coaching, it was established that there is now a gain in understanding about creativity, innovation, and digital transformation necessary for MSMEs to survive the COVID-19 pandemic before and after the program.
