Abstract

Tidal swamp is suboptimal land with low fertility rates. This study aims to determine the cropping pattern through intercropping spacing arrangement with biological fertilizer application on corn and soybean. Field research was conducted in the village of tidal swamp Banyu Urip South Sumatra in June-November 2013 using the Split Plot design with the main plot composition Corn planting distance (J) - Soybean (K) i.e. JK 1:3, 1:2 and 1:1; subplot is the provision of biological fertilizer (0, BioP, Azospirillum and BioP + Azospirillum) with 3 replications. Data monoculture corn and soybean as control. Land use on maize soybean intercropping obtained shelled corn and soybean production highest in treatments JK 1:3 with inorganic fertilizer application, although not statistically significantly different (HSD = 0.05). The efficiency ratio is calculated through the land Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) in the treatment of JK 1:3 high of 1.56 whereas the biological fertilizer application LER was 1.69. Competition between plants with CR (competition ratio) of 7.25 occurred at the highest JK 1:1. This study showed a favorable outcome in the land use pattern of intercropping maize planting soybeans in tidal swamps.

Abstract

Marlina N, Aminah IS, Amir N, Rosmiah R. 2019. Application of organic fertilizer types to NPK nutrients levels and soybeans production (Glycine max (L.) Merril) at different planting spaces in tidal land. Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands. 8(2):148-158.  Tidal lowlands flood type C is suboptimal land and very potential in cultivating soybean, but it has problems in soil fertility, macro and micro nutrient poor, therefore to increase soil fertility can be given various types of organic fertilizers, including cow manure organic fertilizer, chicken manure organic fertilizer and biofertilizer. All types of organic fertilizers are composted, and specifically biofertilizers are made with their own formula. It is expected that the organic fertilizer provided can increase soil fertility and nutrient availability for soybean plants. This study aimed to get the best type of organic fertilizer on the availability of nutrient levels of NPK and soybean production at different spacing in tidal land.  This research was conducted in Jaya Agung Village, Lalan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province, and was carried out in March 2018 - June 2018. The method used was the experimental method. The design used is a split-plot design. with 9 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times. As the main plot treatment is plant spacing (20 cm x 20 cm, 20 cm x 30 cm and 20 cm x 40 cm), and treatment of subplots are: types of cow manure organic fertilizers  10 ton/ha, chicken manure organic fertilizer 10 ton/ha, and biofertilizer 400 kg/ha. The results showed that the combination treatment of plant spacing of 20 cm x 30 cm with the type of biofertilizer 400 kg/ha could  increase   soybean production by 9.11 g/plot or equivalent to 2.43 ton/ha.

Abstract

Aminah IS, Moelyadi Y, Rosmiah R. 2019. Application of organic fertilizer enhanced with bio fertilizer in growth and production of maize in tidal swamp. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds), Prosiding Nasiobal lahan Suboptimal 2-019, Palembang 4–5 September 2019. pp 330-337. Palembang: Unsri Press. Organic fertilizers have the ability to increase soil fertility both physically, chemically and biologically, on the other hand the content of organic matter is not enough to meet nutrient requirements for plants, so it is necessary to add biological fertilizers containing bacteria that can help provide nutrients. This study aims to determine the types of organic fertilizers enriched with biological fertilizers with different concentrations in corn plants (Zea mays L.) in tidal land. This research has been carried out on the ground of farmers in Purwosari Village, Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province held from May to August 2018. The research method uses Split Plot Design with 12 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The treatments are as follows: Organic fertilizer (K), K1=chicken manure compost, K2=Cow compost, K3=Rice Straw Compost, and Biological Fertilizer Dosage, H0=No Biofertilizer, H1= 10ml/litter, H2= 15 ml/litter, H3=20 ml/litter. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm), root length (cm) and dry weight of plants (g). The results showed that the combination of the treatment of chicken manure compost and 20 ml/liter biofertilizer doses gave the highest yield with an average yield of 5.58 kg/plot or equivalent to 7.3 tons/ha of  corn shelling. Keywords: biological fertilizer, corn, organic fertilizer

Abstract

Aminah IS, Rosmiah R, Hawayanti E, Astuti DT,. Anggoro MT. 2021. Effect of Branch Pruning and Application of Liquid Complementary Fertilizer with Different Frequency on Growth and Yield of Yellow Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus). In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 595-602.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Watermelon is a plant that has high economic value, while in South Sumatra this plant has increased from 2016 to 2019. One of the efforts to increase the yield and quality of fruit is through cultivators. The research was carried out from June to September 2019 in farmers' gardens in the village of Tanjung Steko, North Indralaya Km 32, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This study used an experimental method with split plot design, namely pruning (P) as the main plot, P0 treatment without pruning, P1 with pruning, as subplots, namely the frequency of liquid fertilizer application (PPC) F1: 3 times, F2: 5times  and F3 : 7times giving PPC. Plant variables included plant length, number of primary branches, age of flowering, weight of plant fruit, weight of fruit per plot. The results showed that branch pruning on watermelon plants showed the highest yields and on the variables of height, number of branches, and fruit weight, while the best application of liquid fertilizer was given with a frequency of 7 times. The highest weight yield was through branch pruning with a frequency of 7 times, that is 4.78 kg

Abstract

Nunilahwati H, Marlina N, Purwanti Y, Nisfuriah L, Aryani I, Rosmiah R, Zulfakar Z. 2022. Effect of dose of biofertilizer on growth and production of caisim (Brassica juncea L.). In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 226-233.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Biofertilizer are live microorganisms that are mixed into the soil as inoculants to help provide certain nutrients for plants. This study aimed to determine the effect of biofertilizer doses on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The study was carried out in Seberang Ulu II District, Palembang City, South Sumatra from February to May 2021. The method used was a Non-Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 6 (six) treatments and 4 (four) replications with treatment H0 = 0 kg/ha, H1 = 20 kg/ha (0.05 g/polybag), H2 = 40 kg/h (0.10 g/polybag), H3 = 60 kg/ha (0.15 g/polybag), H4 = 80 kg/ha (0.20 g/polybag) and H5 = 100 kg/ha (0.25 g/polybag). The results of the diversity analysis showed that the effect of the dose of biofertilizer applied to caisim on plant height (cm), top root weight (g), and bottom root weight (g) had a significant effect, while plant height (cm) and leaf width (cm) had a very significant effect. The application of biofertilizer of 20, 40, 60 kg/ha, and 100 kg/ha on caisim plants showed lower growth and production than the application of 80 kg/ha of biofertilizer. The dose of biofertilizer 80 kg/ha is the best treatment for the growth and production of caisin mustard plants weighing 56.75 g/polybag.
