Abstract

The implementation of learning in hair coloring subjects which have problems with the lack of equipment and cosmetic materials becomes a barrier to achieving learning objectives which results in decreased results of students' hair coloring practices. The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the effect of online learning on the results of the Xi class student hair coloring practice at SMK N 7 Padang during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population of this study was students of SMK N 7 Padang, while the sample was all students of class XI, totaling 102 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire arranged on a Likert scale. Questionnaires were given to students for a limited class of 30 people to obtain trial data which would be analyzed for validity and reliability. The sampling technique used was total sampling by making all students of class XI as the sample data. Based on the research results, it was found that the relationship between online learning variables as the independent variable and the results of hair coloring was the dependent variable

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi penurunan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Tata Rias Pengantin Barat. Dari pengamatan peneliti, penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa karena kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran daring, dimana proses pembelajaran dalam bentuk kelas teori dan kelas praktek. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis video tutorial dengan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) model pengembangan four-D (4D). Tahap pengembangan 4D yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan) dan Dessiminate (pendesiminasian). Hasil penelitian ini adalah video tutorial yang valid dan praktis untuk dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Validasi desain media dengan rata-rata 0,95 termasuk kategori sangat valid dan validasi materi media dengan rata-rata 0,87 termasuk kategori sangat valid. Praktikalitas respon mahasiswa dalam penggunaan media dengan nilai rata-rata 85,5 termasuk kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop regional bun tutorial video media (ukel tekuk) for hair and bun styling subjects, which can help students understand the concept and be able to practice according to the concept. This research is a development research that uses models and procedures using a 4-D model (four-D model) which consists of define, design, develop and disseminate stages. At the stage of define analysis of curriculum and analysis of students. At the design stage it is carried out using learning media video tutorials for regional bun tutorials (ukel buckling) for hair and bun styling subjects. At the stage of developing validated skills and limited trials on students, to find out the practicality and effectiveness of the video tutorial media developed. The deployment stage is not carried out. The researcher conducted a media test to see whether the media produced was valid, practical and effective. The results of the data analysis show that the regional bun tutorial video media (ukel tekuk) for Hair and Bun Design subjects uses three criteria: (1) the didactic requirements are 90.62% with a very valid category, (2) the construct requirements are 88.28% with very valid category, (3) 95% technical requirements with very valid category, the average percentage is 91.30% with very valid category. This shows that the validity of the tutorial video media is in the very valid category. While the average practicality of the media according to the lecturer's assessment was 92.49%, based on the test of media use by students in small groups was 81.66% and based on the test of media use by all students was 94.59%. Based on the results of the practicality test this media is in the very practical category. Based on the media effectiveness test, student activity increased by 86.10%, while the percentage of student success rate was 88.88% of students who had achieved a minimum of 75. This means that learning using video tutorial media is valid, practical and effective. It can be concluded that the use of regional bun tutorial video learning media (ukel buckling) for hair and bun styling subjects can be used as a learning medium in Vocational High Schools (SMK).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of Beauty Vocational School students in West Sumatra who have low interest in continuing their education at the Department of Make-up and Beauty at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. It is influenced by internal factors and external factors. This study aims to 1) determine the interest of SMK Negeri Beauty students in West Sumatra to continue the Makeup and Beauty Education Study Program at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality in terms of internal factors (Attention, Feelings of Pleasure and Strength of Motives). Then in terms of external factors (teachers, parents and peers). The type of research used is quantitative research. The research subjects were STUDENTS of the Beauty Vocational High School in West Sumatra. Meanwhile, the object of the research is the factors that influence students' interest in continuing their education in the Department of Make-up and Beauty at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. The sampling technique in this study is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The implementation of the questionnaire trial to the respondents of the trial was 217 people. The data in this study were analyzed by statistical analysis. The data in terms of internal factors were already in moderate interpretation. Then in terms of external factors, it is already in moderate interpretation.

Abstract

      Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk a) Menganalisa hasil teknik jahit bulu mata pada mata sipit dalam rias wajah malam hari, b) Menganalisa hasil teknik obras bulu mata pada mata sipit dalam rias wajah malam hari, c) menganalisa perbandingan hasil teknik jahit bulu mata dan teknik obras bulu mata pada mata sipit dalam rias wajah malam hari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah (one-shoot case study). Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Padang dengan 6 sampel dan 7 panelis. Teknik pengambilan data adalah metode purposive random sampling Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu, uji normalitas,uji homogenitas, dan uji T. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperolah rata-rata pada hasil teknik jahit bulu mata dari aspek ukuran mata 4,1 kategori besar, aspek kerapian 4,1 kategori rapi, aspek total look 3,4 kategori cukup cocok, aspek kesukaan panelis 4,0 kategori suka. Rata-rata pada hasil teknik obras bulu mata dari aspek ukuran mata 4,3 kategori besar, aspek kerapian 4,7 kategori sangat rapi, aspek total look 4,3 kategori cocok, aspek kesukaan panelis 4,5 kategori sangat suka. Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil ukuran mata dengan teknik jahit bulu mata dan teknik obras bulu mata, nilai p=0,642 (p>0,05). Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil kerapian mengguakan teknik jahit bulu mata dan teknik obras bulu mata, nilai p=0,086 (p>0,05). Terdapat perbedaan hasil total look menggunakan teknik jahit bulu mata dan teknik obras bulu mata, nilai p=0,005 (p<0,05). Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil kesukaan panelis menggunakan teknik jahit bulu mata dan teknik obras bulu mata, nilai p=0,236 (p>0,05). Disarankan bagi penata rias dalam teknik pengaplikasian bulu mata untuk mata sipit menggunakan teknik obras bulu mata agar hasil riasan menjadi lebih cocok.Kata Kunci: Teknik Jahit Bulu Mata, Teknik Obras Bulu Mata, Mata Sipit

Abstract

The research background is the rapid development of makeup and beauty industry in the social media era that is highly competitive. The study aims to explore the industry's development and its characters, the specialized entrepreneurial strategies, and the influence of social media on this industry. The methodology employed in this research is a semi-systematic literature review. The analytical approach utilized incorporates a meta-narrative framework, encompassing stages such as identifying, analyzing, and identifying patterns and themes related to the topic. The results describe that the characters of makeup and beauty industry includes highly competitive, ever-changing trends, consumer-centric, seasonal and limited-edition products, diverse product range. Furthermore, the role of social media and specialized entrepreneurial strategies related to the influencer collaborations, community building, personalized beauty, virtual beauty consultations, user-generated content, social commerce, online beauty classes, virtual events and live streams. Finally, the challenges of social media on entrepreneurial strategies associated with the policy and algorithm changes, negative feedback and criticism, data privacy and security.
