Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of Socrates Contextual Learning in terms of students mathematical conceptual understanding ability. This quasi-experimental research used one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2015/2016. By purposive sampling technique, it was chosen students of VII C class as the research sample. The research data were obtained by mathematical conceptual understanding ability test. Based on hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that Socrates Contextual Learning was not effective in terms of students mathematical conceptual understanding ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Dengan teknik purposive sampling terpilih siswa kelas VII C sebagai sampel penelitian. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematik. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep matematis, socrates kontekstual

Abstract

Rain often causes inundations in the area of Semarang. Currently,drainage system in the area of East Semarang is strongly influenced by the presence of tidal water. It causes the social and economic losses due to the inundation of rob that floods the northern coast of Central Java. Therefore, some studies are necessary to overcome the problem of flood and rob that exist. The mitigations of tidethat get on the land (called rob) are also needed. To remove the flood of East flood canal Normalization (BKT), Tenggang River and Sringin River, pumps with detention pond are required. Modeling designis done by using HEC-RAS application program for modeling river water flow, and RiverAnalysis System (RAS), which is created and developed by Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC). The appropriate flood control and handling systems are polder systems, with the infrastructure components of sea dams utilized as protection against tide (rob) towards the mainland of Tenggang River watershed and Sringin River watershed. The rainwater expenditure falling in the watershed uses pumps and detention ponds. Keywords: Polder, Drainage City, Dam

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the interpretation of the polygamy verse from the perspective of contemporary Indonesian interpreters represented by M.Quraish Shihab as a problem solving for the rampant practice of polygamy in society. The discourse of polygamy in Islamic thought is an interesting controversy discussed. As offered by M. Quraish Shihab in his interpretation that polygamy in Islamic teachings is permissible not as a recommendation or as a mandatory thing, even then on fair terms. The existence of differences in each argument has the same basis of the Qur'anic text, namely Surat an-Nisa 'verse 3. The practice of polygamy sometimes has an impact on family relations that are not harmonious and unfair, on this basis polygamy needs to be reviewed with other approaches. To limit the study in this paper, this research uses a qualitative approach by applying a thematic interpretation method to obtain a comprehensive understanding of polygamy in the Qur'an. Polygamy in al-Misbah's interpretation is said to be fair, just here is not only immaterial (love and affection) but justice in measured material is not only obeying lust. Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan memahami tafsir ayat poligami perspektif mufassir Indonesia kontemporer yang diwakili oleh M.Quraish Shihab sebagai problem solving atas maraknya praktek poligami di masyarakat. Wacana poligami dalam pemikiran Islam menjadi kontroversi yang menarik dibahas. Sebagaimana ditawarkan M. Quraish Shihab dalam tafsirnya bahwasanya poligami dalam ajaran Islam diperbolehkan bukan bersifat anjuran atau hal yang wajib, itupun dengan syarat adil. Adanya perbedaan setiap argumen mempunyai dasar yang sama dari teks al-Qur’an yaitu surat an-Nisa’ ayat 3. Praktik poligami terkadang berdampak pada hubungan keluarga yang tidak harmonis dan kurang adil, atas dasar ini poligami perlu dikaji ulang dengan pendekatan-pendekatan lain. Untuk membatasi kajian dalam tulisan ini maka, Penelitan ini menggunaan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode tafsir tematik (maud}u>’i) untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang poligami dalam al-Qur’an. Poligami dalam tafsir al-Misbah dikatakan boleh dengan syarat adil, adil di sini bukan hanya bersifat immaterial (cinta dan kasih sayang) melainkan keadilan pada materi yang terukur bukan hanya menuruti hawa nafsu.
