Abstract

Cow dung waste in Pauh sub-district is widely available. Only partly used as a traditional fertilizer. In fact, the utilization of cow dung is one of the alternative sources of renewable energy. Although biogas technology is not something new in Indonesia, the obstacles faced by farmers are their lack of knowledge about processing cow dung into biogas and making of biogas reactors. Community service has been undertaken to provide knowledge through guidance and counseling methods to farmers about biogas, biogas reactor manufacturing and technology, and the advantages of biogas reactors, both in terms of economic and environmental values. Stages of the implementation of the activities; 1). Provide guidance and counseling to farmers about biogas and how to manufacture biogas reactor, 2). Provide guidance and counseling about the safety of biogas reactors, 3). Conduct periodic monitoring of farmer groups that are partners to the continuity and continuity of activities. The result of the activity is the availability of biogas reactor in farmer group in Pauh sub-district. The fermentation process to produce biogas in the reactor is approximately 3 weeks. Biogas reactors are built easy to make and cheap.

Abstract

Physics has complex lesson content so the learning process that will be used must be effective, easy to understand, and make student actively participate. The purpose of this  research is to investigate the effect of using Mind Mapping in the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the achievement of students' physic competence at grade 10th SMAN 2 Padang. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Research with Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Population of the research is students at grade 10th SMAN 2 Padang in 2017/2018.  Sampling  technique that use  is purposive sampling. The experiment class using Mind mapping in the PBL  model, and the control class only uses the PBL model. Students' competencies are attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The average of attitude competency in the experimental class is 91.23 higher than the control class of 89.19. The average value of knowledge competence in the experimental class is 72.26 higher than the control class of 66.58. The average value of skill competencies for the experimental class is 90.40 higher than the control class of 86.47. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect which means the use of Mind Mapping in the Problem Based Learning model of the achievement of students' physical competence at grade 10th SMAN 2 Padang.Keywords : Mind Mapping, Problem Based Learning Model, Competence

Abstract

In general, achievement of Physics competence of students in high school is still low. Observations result at SMAN 14 Padang, the causes is the strategy used is not fully centered on the activities of students, and the teaching materials that used have not been able to improve the thinking ability of students. This study aims to determine the Effect of Using LKPD oriented Metacognitive Strategy on Physics achievement of Student’s Competence in X Grade of SMAN 14 Padang. Research carried out included in the type of quasi experimental research (Quasi Experimental Design) with the design of Posttest Only Control Group Design. The study population is all MIPA X grade of SMAN 14 Padang in academic year 2017/2018. Samples were taken using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used is a test for knowledge competence, observation format for attitude and skill competence and completed with assessment rubric. Data on the three competencies were analyzed using t test at the real level of 0.05. Based on the result of data analysis, there were significant differences in both sample classes. The result of regression analysis shows that there is strong correlation between LKPD oriented metacognitive strategy to knowledge and skill competence. The result of product moment correlation analysis showed 55% value for knowledge competence and 33.54% for skill competence. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the use of LKPD oriented metacognitive strategies to the achievement of the competence of students in X grade of SMAN 14 Padang.

Abstract

Student physics competency can be achieved by applying the problem based learning (PBL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students between classes using the Problem Based learning model and those not and to determine the percentage of influence of the application of the Problem Based learning model on the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students. The population in this study were all students of class X semester 1 in MAN 1 Kerinci who were enrolled in Academic Year (TA) 2018 / 2019. The technique used in sampling was cluster random sampling. The sample used was class X MIPA 1 as an experimental class and X MIPA 2 as a control class. The data in this study are the physics competencies of students after being given treatment including attitude competencies, knowledge and skills. After conducting research and continuing with analyzing the research data it can be concluded that the application of PBL learning models has a significant influence on the achievement of physics competence in class X MAN 1 Kerinci. The application of PBL learning model influences the attainment of attitude competence by 15.52%, the achievement of knowledge competence by 21.12% while the achievement of students' skills competence is 16.75%.

Abstract

The results of a introduction study in some SMA in Padang which used 2013's curriculum showed teachers use learning device still dont meet the rules of competency standards, content standards, process standards, assessment standards and competence standards. Besides that, the common learning devices are not used properly. So the achievement of knowledge competence of students dont meet expectations. This study aims to generate device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry are suitable for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities. The type of this research is the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE models (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) is reduced to develop. This research included 8 experts judgment thatare 5 lecturers of Physics FMIPA UNP as validator, 3 Physics teacher as practitioner and one class of students are ten grade students of MIPA 4 SMAN 9 Padang. Data obtained are quantitative and qualitative data, the data observation and interviews, the value of knowledge documentation, and questionnaire. The average results of the validation device physics learning 83.73% in the range (0-100) in the valid criteria. While the average results of the practicalities by teachers 93.61% in the range (0-100) in the practical criteria, and the average of the practicalities of 33 students of instructional materials 80% in the practical criteria. The results of this research indicate the device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry fit for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities.

Abstract

This research aims to see how effect of HOTS-oriented worksheets on heat and kinetic theory of gases on students' critical and creative thinking ability with guided inquiry model in grade XI SMA Al-Istiqamah Pasaman Barat. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. In this research, two classes were used as the sample class, where class XI IPA 1 was the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 was the control class. The difference in treatment between the two classes is that in the experimental class the product given is HOTS-oriented worksheets while in the control class the product given is conventional student worksheets in schools. For the treatment equation in the two classes, the learning model used is the guided inquiry learning model. The technique for collecting data was a written test with HOTS oriented questions. Critical and creative thinking skills are the basis for assessment in this research. The results of the study after being given treatment in both classes found that the highest skill score between the two classes was the value obtained by the experimental class. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that after being given treatment to the sample class, there is an increase in students' critical and creative thinking skills for each indicator. The improvement of students' critical and creative thinking skills on each indicator got higher results in the experimental class than the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of hots oriented job sheets with barcode assistance in online learning to the students' critical and creative thinking on heat and the kinetic theory of gases learning topic in grade xi of 1st harau district senior high school. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a randomized only control group design. This study involved two classes, the first class as the experimental class using hots-oriented job sheets with barcode assistance and the second class as the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of a written test with a graded essay question model. The assessment is based on observable indicators of critical and creative thinking skills. data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to think critically and creatively. the experimental class was 57% and the control class was 12%. Based on the research results it can be concluded that: First, after implementing HOTS-oriented worksheets assisted by barcodes in online learning, there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills and creative skills in the experimental class. Second, there is a significant difference in the improvement of students' critical and creative thinking skills in the experimental class after implementing HOTS-oriented job sheets assisted with barcodes in online learning compared to the control class that did not apply the job sheets. Third, HOTS-oriented worksheets assisted with barcodes are very suitable to be applied in schools with an online learning system because they can improve students' critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills on heat material and the kinetic theory of gases.

Abstract

Competence of students in Science subjects in grades VII SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi has not reached Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning (KKM). This may be due to several factors, such as: models and strategies used in the activities of teacher learning less diverse; the learning activities of students just listen and take note of what is delivered by teachers; the teacher in the learning process often uses a Lecture Method; as well as the Worksheets Students (LKS) available yet to describe the interrelatedness between physics, biology, and chemistry. Therefore, research is conducted to provide solutions by applying Student Worksheets oriented Webbed toward the competency of the IPA student grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi.To achieve the goal  of the research, performed research experiment with pseudo Randomized Control Group Only Design. This research population is the student grade VII  SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi school year 2017/2018 and take sampling by the Technique of Purposive Sampling. Research instrument used in the form of a written test for knowledge and competence performance using scoring rubrics for competency skills. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of similarity of two averages for competence of knowledge and competency skills.The results showed the average value of the competency of the IPA at both the class samples and 56.94 to 70.56  "competence knowledge ", and 85.98 and 82.92 for competency skills. The test of t’, retrieved t’hitung>t’tabel. So, the working hypothesis accepted for competence of knowledge, whereas for competency skills of test t, retrieved t’hitung>t’tabel. So, the working hypothesis accepted. Conclusion of the research was the hypothesis that States that there are influences which means application of Worksheets Students integrated learning-oriented Webbed toward the competency of the IPA student grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

The expected skills in the 2013 curriculum are the ability to master technology, think critically, and have good problem solving. This certainly can be achieved by the teacher making teaching materials that are connected to ICT which contain questions with HOTS level. However, the reality that occurs in the field is that the teaching materials used by teachers are still limited to printed teaching materials that do not contain HOTS questions and lack of ICT use. Therefore, this study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of e-modules which are oriented to HOTS questions and to determine the level of validity of the e-modules. This type of research is a mixed method research or combination research. This study uses a validity test instrument that contains aspects of material substance, learning design, e-module display, software utilization, and high-level thinking (HOTS). The data obtained is then analyzed to determine the validity criteria of the e-module. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the resulting e-module belongs to the very valid category with a value of 82 (%) for the first validity test and 84 (%) with a very valid category for the second validation. Based on the results of the validity test, the HOTS-oriented e-module for learning physics in heat material and kinetic theory of gas in class XI SMA / MA is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Physics learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum is needed by teachers who can improve the quality of learning, especially in terms of the ability of students to think creatively. One way to improve students' creative thinking skills in learning is to use inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. However, the fact that is found in the field that in learning physics has not fully utilized technology in learning and makes learning in school monotonous still because student just expect learning material from the teacher so that it is difficult to develop students' creative thinking skills. The aim of this reasearch is to design physics learning multimedia based  on inquiry and know the value of validity for inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. The type of research used is research and development (R & D) and the object of research is inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. Based on data analysis obtained from 2 studies conducted. First, design physics learning   multimedia based on inquiry with a scientific approach. Second, the average result of validation data analysis is 80.4 with valid criteria. So, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based physics learning multimedia with the scientific approach is declared valid and can be used in grade X physics learning in SMA.
