Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to know the influence of different liquid organic fertilizer concentrations on the population and biomass of silk worms (Tubifex sp.). Research was conducted in the field laboratory of BDP – Panteriek, Lueng Bata District, Banda Aceh in February 2016. This research used the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design. The different concentrations were : 0, 5, 10, 15 ml, for 30 days. The results showed that the biomass ranged from 2,70 ± 0,16 to 16,27 ± 0,83 g, the silk worms population ranged from 6.784 ± 83 to 14.029 ± 445 ind. The highest values for all parameters were obtained at treatment D which was 15 ml. The ANOVA showed that the adding of organic liquid fertilizers has significant effect againt the biomass and population of silk worms (Tubifex sp.). Duncan’s test showed that the value of the biomass and population of silk worms (Tubifex sp.) on treatment D (15 ml) showed significant different to other treatments. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the addition of liquid organic fertilizers increase the production of biomass and population of the silk worms (Tubifex sp.).Keywords : Silk worms, liquid organic fertilizer, biomass, population.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair terhadap populasi dan biomassa cacing sutera (Tubifex sp.). Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Lapangan BDP - Panteriek Kecamatan Lueng Bata, Banda Aceh pada bulan Februari 2016. Studi ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan model Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor yang diuji yaitu perbedaan dosis pupuk organik cair 0, 5, 10, 15 ml, selama 30 (tiga puluh) hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biomassa cacing sutera berkisar antara 2,70 ± 0,16 sampai 16,27 ± 0,83 g, populasi cacing sutera berkisar antara 6.784 ± 83 sampai 14.029 ± 445 ind. Nilai tertinggi untuk semua parameter dijumpai pada perlakuan D yaitu sebesar 15 ml pupuk organik cair. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi pupuk organik cair berpengaruh nyata terhadap biomassa dan populasi cacing sutera (Tubifex sp.). Hasil uji lanjut Duncan menunjukkan nilai biomassa dan populasi cacing sutera (Tubifex sp.) pada perlakuan D berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan yang lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan pupuk organik cair dapat meningkatkan produksi biomassa dan populasi cacing sutera.Kata kunci : Cacing sutera, pupuk organik cair, biomassa, populasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of the present study was to analyze the effect of combination of horse manure fertilizers with fertilizer waste coffee leather towards growth and biomass production of Azolla microphylla as well as to analyze the protein contained in the A. microphylla. This research was conducted in the Unit Pelaksana Teknis Balai Benih Ikan Lukup Badak, Dinas Peternakan dan Perikanan, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah in February to March 2016. This research uses experimental methods of Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replicates. The medium used is the pool tarp sized 100x100x30 cm. The treatment is given is A: (horse manure 100%), B: (horse manure 75% + fertilizer waste coffee leather 25%), C: (horse manure 50% + fertilizer waste coffee leather 50%), D: (horse manure 25% + fertilizer waste coffee leather 75%), E: (fertilizer waste coffee leather 100%), with initial seed stocked A. microphylla 20 gram/m2 for 21 days. The results showed that the highest value on each parameter contained in the treatment A= (horse manure 100%), protein content of 26.74%. Anova test results showed that giving a combination of horse manure with fertilizer waste coffee leather real effect against doubling time, relative growth rate, extensive cover area, fresh biomass, biomass dry and density of A. microphylla (P 0.05). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the granting of horse manure with fertilizer waste coffee leather can increase growth and biomass Azolla microphylla.Keywords: Azolla microphylla, Fertilizer, Growth, Biomass. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh kombinasi pupuk kotoran kuda dengan pupuk limbah kulit kopi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi biomassa Azolla microphyllaserta untuk menganalisa kandungan protein yang terkandung dalam A. microphylla.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Balai Benih Ikan Lukup Badak, Dinas Peternakan dan Perikanan, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah pada bulan Februari hingga Maret 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Media yang digunakan adalah kolam terpal berukuran 100x100x30cm. Perlakuan diberikan berupa A:(Pupuk kotoran kuda 100%), B: (Pupuk kotoran kuda 75%+ pupuk limbah kulit kopi 25%), C:(Pupuk kotoran kuda 50% + pupuk limbah kulit kopi 50%), D:(Pupuk kotoran kuda 25% + pupuk limbah kulit kopi 75%), E:(Pupuk limbah kulit kopi 100%), dengan penebaran awal bibit A. microphylla20 gram/m2selama 21 hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai tertinggi pada setiap parameter terdapat pada perlakuan A:(Pupuk kotoran kuda 100%), kandungan protein 26.74%. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwapemberian kombinasi pupuk kotoran kuda dengan pupuk limbah kulit kopi berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu penggandaan, laju pertumbuhan relatif, luas cover area, biomassa segar, biomassa kering dan kepadatan A. microphylla (P0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kotoran kuda dan pupuk limbah kulit kopi dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan biomassa Azolla microphylla.Kata kunci: Azolla microphylla, Pupuk, Pertumbuhan, Biomassa.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAquaponics system is a farming system which saving land use and improving the efficiency of nutrient utilization of residual feed and fish metabolism. This system is environmentally friendly fish farming. This research was aimed to measure the growth and survival rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) on the use of Aquaponics system with different plant species. The difference treatment consisted of four treatments and three repetitions which used plant kale, collards, lettuce and control. Research results for the 30 days of maintenance showed that the increase in the absolute highest weight value by 7.16 ± 0.94 g, the length was 4.53 ± 0.78 cm, the specific growth rate (SGR) was 2.36 ± 0.079 g / day and the survival rate of fish was 95 ± 5.00 % found in treatment plants using kale, while the lowest value was in the control treatment. ANOVA test results showed that the maintenance of the Aquaponics system with different plants did not significantly affect the growth of absolute weight, the length, the specific growth rate (SGR) and survival rates of tilapia agile (P 0.05). The quality of water in all treatments generally described that the range were still running in tolerance limit and were not harmful to the growth of tilapia.Keywords: Aquaponics, Juvenile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Growth, Survival rate,   Different plantsABSTRAKBudidaya ikan sistem akuaponik merupakan sistem budidaya yang dapat menghemat penggunaan lahan dan meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan hara dari sisa pakan serta metabolisme ikan. Sistem ini merupakan budidaya ikan yang ramah lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengukur pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila gesit (Oreochromis niloticus) pada penggunaan sistem akuaponik dengan jenis tanaman yang berbeda. Perbedaan perlakuan terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga pengulangan yaitu menggunakan tanaman kangkung, sawi, selada dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian selama pemeliharaan 30 hari menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan nilai tertinggi pertumbuhan berat mutlak sebesar 7,16±0,94 g, pertambahan panjang sebesar 4,53±0,78 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) sebesar 2,36±0,079 %/hari dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan sebesar 95±5,00 % terdapat pada perlakuan menggunakan tanaman kangkung. Sedangkan nilai terendah terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemeliharaan pada sistem akuaponik dengan tanaman yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak, pertambahan panjang, laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan nila gesit (P0.05). Kualitas air pada semua perlakuan secara umum menggambarkan kisaran yang masih berada dalam batas toleransi dan tidak membahayakan bagi pertumbuhan ikan nila gesit. Kata kunci: Akuaponik, Benih Nila Gesit (Oreochromis niloticus), Pertumbuhan, kelangsungan Hidup, Tumbuhan yang berbeda

Abstract

White snapper Lates calcarifer is one of the marine fish commodities that has important economic value. The addition of immunostimulant ingredients in feed is believed to increase immunity and increase fish growth. This study aims to determine the effect of adding β-glucan to feed on white snapper (Lates calcarifer). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 3 repetitions. White snapper used with a weight of ± 6 grams and a length of ± 7. The frequency of feeding is done 3 times a day. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the addition of β-glucan in the feed significantly affected the growth rate of the fry of white snapper (Lates calcarifer) (P0.05). The best treatment in this study was treatment E (commercial feed + β-glucan 8g/kg feed) which gave the best growth in White snapper where this treatment was able to increase absolute weight (4.51 ± 0.29), absolute length (4 .84 ± 0.284), specific growth rate (2.09 ± 0.15), FCR (1.00 ± 1.00), feed utilization efficiency (97.42 ± 0.50) and survival (100.00 ± 0.00).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving EM4 probiotics on the growth and survival rate of snakehead (Channa striata). This research was carried out at the Fish Hatchery Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Universitas Syiah Kuala. This study was conducted using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) method with 4 treatments used, namely A (control), B (EM4 6 ml/kg of feed), C (EM4 8 ml/kg of feed), and D (EM4 10 ml/kg of feed). The results showed that the addition of 10 ml/kg of feed of EM4 probiotic resulted in an absolute length growth of 1.60±0.17 cm, an absolute weight growth of 1.85±0.18 gram, a specific growth rate of 1.97±0.10 % per day, a feed conversion ratio of 1.56±0.03, feed efficiency 64.19±1.41 % and survival rate 97.78±3.85 %. The results of this study can be concluded that the addition of probiotic EM4 10 ml/kg of feed can increase the growth and survival rate of snakehead (Channa striata).Keywords:Channa striataEM4Commercial feedGrowthSurvival rate

Abstract

Water quality is influenced by the high activity in the port area, resulting in decreasing water quality. The biological parameters based on the structure of the aquatic community of organisms that act as bioindicators could be indicated as changes in water quality around the port. Bioindicators are a group of living organisms susceptible to environmental changes due to human activities and natural damage. One of the aquatic organisms that can be used as an indicator of water quality is Benthos because of its sedentary nature. This study aims to determine the quality of the water environment seen from the benthic community structure, namely density, diversity index, uniformity and dominance index, to embody the clean and pollution-free Kutaraja Fishing Port. The research shows that the aquatic environment of Kutaraja Fishing Port is included as the less stable category with a moderate diversity value (H' 1) but has high benthic individual uniformity (E 0.6), which means that individuals are evenly distributed a low dominance value or C is close to 0.Keywords:Water qualityBio-indicatorBenthosKutarajaBanda Aceh
