Abstract

An emergency condition of carrdiact arrest is one of the threats that requires immediate treatment/assistance by the person who first finds the victim because the golden period for an emergency is a maximum of 10 minutes. Therefore, the community as first responders really needs to have knowledge and skills in providing assistance. The purpose of this mentoring is to increase the knowledge of teachers in Barisallo Village Kel. Parangloe Kab. Gowa. The method used is the lecture method using leaflet media and simulation using an emergency manikin and splints. This activity was carried out for 6 days. The results of the activities include the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. From the results of the service, there are still many people, especially teachers, and there are still many people who do not know how to provide first aid in emergency conditions. So from that basis, community service is about efforts to increase teacher knowledge and skills to prevent death or disability. It is hoped that health workers will be more active in conducting health education, especially in Barisallo Village, Kec. Parangloe.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of LH on premenstrual syndrome in young women at Darul Arqam Makassar. The research method used was the t-test to see the effect of LH concentrations on young women who experienced and did not experience premenstrual syndrome. The population of this study were all young women at the Darul Arqam Makassar Islamic Boarding School. The sample used was 50 young women consisting of 25 young women with PMS and 25 young women who were not. The results showed that there was an influence of the LH hormone with the average value of respondents whose average LH value was 7.36, which was higher than that of PMS, which was 7.35. After the data is processed with the t-test obtained p= 0.000 less than 0.05. This means that there is a significant effect of LH hormone concentration between no PMS, mild PMS, and severe PMS. The conclusion is that there is a significant effect of the concentration of the hormone LH f2a among young women who do not have PMS and PMS and between young women who experience mild PMS and severe PMS at Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School Makassar.

Abstract

Hypoglycemia is a more dangerous problem for people with diabetes mellitus if it is not detected or prevented by the sufferer. Health education based on cognitive theory is an alternative to strengthen the self-efficacy of DM sufferers to increase knowledge of hypoglycemia prevention. This study aims to determine the effect of cognitive theory with a self-efficacy approach to increasing knowledge about the prevention of hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes mellitus. This research method is Quasi Experiment with one group pre test post test design. The number of samples for this research was 55 people using purposive sampling. The intervention in this research is health education with a social cognitive theory approach. The results of this study showed that there were differences in the results of the pre-test and post-test of knowledge about preventing hypoglycemia in 55 respondents with a mean (pre-test 17.82 and post-test 22.15). The results of the t test show the sig. p 0.00< 0.05. The conclusion is that there is an influence of cognitive theory with a self-efficacy approach to increasing knowledge about the prevention of hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes mellitus. The best suggestion for future research is the need for patient self-efficacy control to increase patient knowledge on the prevention of hypoglycemia

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in Prostaglandin f2α concentration in female adolescents who experienced and did not experience Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS). Cross-sectional study conducted at a single institution. The sample for this study was female adolescents at the Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School in Makassar, consisting of 50 adolescents who experienced PMS and those who did not experience PMS in a ratio of 1:1. Prostaglandin f2α levels were measured using an ELISA kit. The sample used was 5 cc blood from the median cubital vein by laboratory staff 5 days before menstruation. Data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the average Prostaglandin f2α in the group that experienced PMS (379.07) was higher compared to the group that did not experience PMS (101.23) with a p-value < 0.05, significantly. Furthermore, the group that experienced mild PMS had an average Prostaglandin f2α value of 283.32, while the group that experienced severe PMS had an average Prostaglandin f2α value of 454.31. The average Prostaglandin f2α level in the group who did not experience PMS, mild PMS, and severe PMS had a p-value < 0.05. This study concludes that there is a significant difference in the Prostaglandin f2α Level in adolescents who experience PMS and those who do not experience it and there are differences based on the severity of PMS.
