Abstract

This design is aimed to educate the Surabaya’s people about equipment and physics knowledge. Remembering the general people’s circumscription about physics education. The design that I create is designing information centre as functional as possible. Physics equipment can help Surabaya’s people to increase their knowledge about physics education.

Abstract

Beauty clinic is a place that provides professional services related to beauty and skin care, including skin rejuvenation process, enlightenment skin, and correct any deficiencies that appear on the skin. Design beauty clinics that implement Eco-Design is a clinic which in technical terms and activities hold the principles of eco-design. For example, the formation and stylish design, the atmosphere in the interior space, material selection, lighting systems, ventilation systems and other interior support system has been certified eco-friendly. Designed facility includes lobby, waiting room, doctor's consulting room, examining room, treatment room, laser room, VIP room, service area employees, offices, meeting rooms, and a cafeteria area. Concept design eco design.Desain taken is environmental friendly, hygienic, and easy in terms of design perawatan.Tema used is clean and sejuk.Karakter clean design embodies the impression of a clinic in general, while the impression of a cool space adapted to the tropical climate in the city of Surabaya.

Abstract

The furniture design for a church by utilizing coffee wood waste is a design research that aims to equalize the use of woods in Indonesia today. This is caused by the increase in rarity of the types of woods that are often used in Indonesia. One of the alternative woods which can reduce the use of these rare woods are coffee woods. Coffee woods were chosen because of their large amount of availability in Indonesia whereas these woods are considered as wastes for the surrounding community especially when the plant is already at an unproductive state. Based on this issue, there are exceptional opportunities by using coffee wood to be designed into goods which has more values, especially when designed into furniture and interior elements, this is because coffee woods has the same characteristics with woods that are used for general furniture. In this design research, studies and researches about coffee woods are being conducted, which are all related to processing the raw material into finished goods, as well as constructions, strengths and weaknesses of the material, etc, which all of these has the purpose to increase the value and function of coffee woods. By doing this furniture design, it is expected that coffee wood waste can be recycled into more valuable goods, and also to equalize the use of other types of wood, so that the scarcity of other types of woods can be mitigated.

Abstract

Game Dota already known the game lovers in the world since 2005. Dota game was made because the developers wanted to simplify the predecessor game (Warcraft III: Frozen Throne) the genre of real-time strategy towards real-time action (Dota) with gameplay simpler and attract the interest of gamers in the world, particularly gamers adolescents. Therefore, to help those who have a hobby like this, we need a vessel that is really capable of uniting them in a relationship together in the Dota game play directly or indirectly.

Abstract

School is a place where every individual had social interaction with each other. Therefore, schools need facilities to help students and teachers in maximizing their activities, both indoors and outdoors. Schools with poor circulation and air quality will not be able to accommodate learning activities in the room to run smoothly. According to Tunjung Atmadi, methodology is a means to solve a design problem which determines the success of an interior design. By understanding the design methodology, a design problem can be simplified into a clear and systematic classification.                Moreover, providing a lot of openings and the use of cross ventilation system in the room results to an optimal interior daylighting and a good air quality to help improve school activities. A consideration in the placement of appropriate lighting and air circulation is needed in order not to disturb the learning process, especially the right circulation flow so that one does not disturb activities of the others.

Football is one of the sports that is loved by many people. Many fans of a club founded organizations in support of their beloved club. One of the clubs that have a lot of fans is Arsenal FC. In Indonesia, many fans have set up an organization called Arsenal Indonesia Supporter. Where they support Arsenal by watching alongside Arsenal's games and various other activities. But there's a lack of place to accommodate a wide range of activities of Arsenal Indonesia Supporter.

Abstract

Nowadays, places like restaurants or café are very popular for middle-upper class and middle-lower class society for meetups, business, or to just simply sit back and relax, even in areas and cities in Indonesia that are still developing, for example; Blitar city. However, in those developing cities, those places are mostly still under-developed, and besides, most of the visitors who came to Blitar are only familiar with the tourists destinations without knowing the origins or the history of Blitar city. Blitar’s interesting heritage of local legends will be relived and applied to the restaurant’s design concept, so this place can also be used as information centre of Blitar, considering the lack of that kind of places in the city. This interior design is also as a renovation for the place with the goal of improving the interior elements and systems that still haven’t expressed the concept of Blitar, therefore, this design will use the concept of “Time Travel” to answer the currently existing problems.

Abstract

Glass is a material that often used, which result in increasing amounts of glass waste. The writer want to explore and develop glass waste which actually still has potential economic value but its rarely seen and developed by the people. Thiss research uses the Research and Development method which focuses on material innovation through several stages. The first stage is collecting data, then experimenting with mixing crushed glass waste with some adhesive materials (gypsum, PVAc glue, white cement) and analyzing to produce the final product. The final product in this reserach is decorative wall panels using a mixture of PVAc glue and aggregate of silica sand.

Abstract

Furniture that is cheap, easy to send and does not require much space for delivery is the people’s first choice nowadays. Many people prefer to buy furniture from the store, then bring it home and install it by their selves once they arrive home. This kind of furniture is the new breakthrough in modern times.                In addition to practical and easy to carry, flat pack furniture or knock-down furniture can also save shipping costs because it does not require a large space for the delivery process. Usually this furniture is neatly wrapped in a box made of cardboard. The manual book of how to install the furniture is also included in the furniture packaging. Furniture installation also does not require any tools.

Abstract

Environmental factors are the center of attention throughout the world. Garbage is the main cause of this problem, especially in the sea. A popular solution so far is the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle). Recycling method is the most effective solution to deal with marine debris. The marine debris material experiment aims to find new material that can be used as interior products material. The method used in this study is to grow creativity to make as many alternatives as possible, also by applying Research and Development Method. Several stages in processing marine debris are material collection, melting, mixing of materials, printing, and finishing. The results can create various material combinations of marine debris, especially plastic based that can be used for interior design materials.
