Abstract

Researchers wanted to find alternative materials other than wood because of the very high use of wood which if possible the supply of wood in Indonesia would run out in a few years if not preserved. In this design, research began to research and look  for  information relating to unused fabrics, such as strengths, weaknesses, how to process, and so on by experimenting with fabrics and also cement. With these information, researchers began to make experimental design concepts and from the concept created a design that is a flower pot and a light sleeper.

Abstract

Culinary is a part of life that is closely related to the consumption of food or a lifestyle that cannot be separated from everyday life. Therefore culinary is very important in life. Surabaya is the second largest city after Jakarta, as a metropolitan city with the urban communities of globalization trend that requires café and restaurant in everyday life. Other than that, time becomes increasingly valuable and city life hustles and bustles in routines. In connection with that reason, man becomes inclined for things that are practical in meeting their needs. By collaborating these two things, the café and restaurant, it is expected to introduce a variety of foods and beverages in the city of Surabaya as well as designing and make real a café and restaurant which is able to make the visitors get familiar with some of the culinary history of the city of Surabaya, so that the visitors can not only enjoy the food and drinks of Surabaya typically, but also will be more familiar with the history of the food itself. In addition, visitors can also enjoy a café for hangout which is located in the  the third floor outdoor area of the mall area to get a special sensation and to enjoy the served coffee and Surabaya city views from the top of the mall building.

Abstract

Amusement Park Attraction Kenjeran Beach is a beach located in the Village District of Bulak Kenjeran and started up in 1968 with an area of ± 4.3 ha to 2.3 ha of productive land is used as an area tujuanwisata, infrastructure and parking space. THP Kenjeran management conducted by the Office of Technical Implementation Unit Kenjeran Beach Amusement Park in the Department of Culture and Tourism of the city of Surabaya. Tarikwisata objects and targets that can be used as a recreation destination for tourists who want to visit. The concept of adopting design styles Industrial - Minimalism lifting the industrial city of Surabaya as applied in a way that serves the typical tourist attractions Surabaya.

Abstract

Bon Ami RestaurantSurabayais a building that exchange function from a house to a restaurant and it doesn’t change much in architectural and interior. This thesis aim to know, description of applying design style from its dining furniture. The research result shows that the restaurant furnitures have influence from baroque, art and craft, art nouveau, art deco.

Abstract

Abstrac— Batik is a high-value artwork and has become part of the cultural heritage of Indonesia (especially Java) since long. East Java actually has a typical batik motifs but many people do not understand about the philosophy and process of making the batik. As the capital of Surabaya in East Java and also the second largest city in Indonesia is a good place to built Batik Training Center. Hopefully, through this design can be a forum for lovers of batik in East Java to pour their love of batik while preserving the cultural heritage of Indonesia.

Abstract

Santo Antonius  Purbayan  church  is  the oldestchurch  building  in  Surakarta.  This  heritage building of  DutchColonial  period  was built  in 1916  and  still standing  to this day, and  did not experience  much  changes  in the  architecture  and interior  aspects.  The building is  a historical evidence of an event that  has  the value of  architectural  and  interior.  The  stylescombination  of  space  forming  elements  and  transition  elements in  the  interior  is  very variative, that are  Art  &  Craft,  ArtNouveau,  Art  Deco,  Nieuwe  Bouwen,  and  also to  the European Classical  style  such as  the  church  building at  the first in Europethat  are  Early Christian  style,  Romanesque  and  Gothic.  The combination  of  various  styles  could not be separated  fromaspects of  function  and  meaning  of  a  church  and  has beenadapted to the local climate and conditions.

Abstract

Aspects of the history contained in the objects of memorabilia compiled as the basis for designing the restaurant to establish an atmosphere and a restaurant marketing competitiveness. Memorabilia itself has a meaning as something that is kept because it is associated with a past history. This concept aims to bring back the atmosphere that existed in 1914-1940 to the present day in the city of Malang. So the effect of that has been adapted to colonial Javanese culture and art deco style design reinforces this concept.

Abstract

Dessert is an closing food that having a trend and more developing not only at restaurant or café. This Dessert Café and Cake Shop is a place to enjoy the dish like dessert at all once recreation facilities to take down the saturation where customers can enjoy an education by practicing dessert decoration. This design is all soriety addressed.  This café using counter service system that have a purpose to give fast service and indirect education  by applicating transparency between kitchen area and  food uptake counter. At Cake Shop, product which on sale like cake with whole size where customers can do purchase that served by waiter.                    With concept of Taste in Pleasant, this interior design of dessert café and cake shop be focused in order to customers enjoy dessert with pleasant atmosphere in relaxing at café area along with do practicing decoration appropriate taste and creativity every individual. To edvocating concept, this café design applying modern contemporary style that have an simple and clean character but unique.

Abstract

First of all, the palace is the official residence of the king (a head of state or a president) and his family. As we know, that the king is the supreme ruler of the kingdom (usually acquired as inheritance); a person, who is in charge to rule a nation or state. So, the place where he lives should be a majestic place. Many palaces anywhere but it impossible for palaces to have the same design and form.  Similarly, East Nusa Tenggara in the ancient time, it was well known as a region with kingdom era. It was recognized by an ancient buildings, which were occupied by the ancient king as his home that called the Palace. Those buildings do not have the same form and design. Thus, this study will examine the form and function of the space as this study is expected to broaden the public’s insight about the form and function of an existing palace.
