Abstract

The standard assessment of the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts is not available in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The objective of this research is to develop a performance assessment of the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY based on a review of sports biomechanics. The method used in this study was research and development. The subjects were 6 fighters for the initial trial, 14 fighters for the small scale trial, and 53 fighters for the large scale trial. The content validity measure was employed to determine the validity of the data, while the product moment correlation was implemented to measure its reliability. The level of objectivity was analyzed with the interrater technique (Alpha coefficients). The results of the study are as the followings. 1) The performance assessment of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in the province of DIY is highly valid; 2) The performance assessment of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is highly reliable; 3) The performance assessment of the of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is highly objective; 4) The performance assessment of the of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is divided into five categories, namely: very good, good, average, poor, and very poor. The conclusion of this study is that the performance assessment of kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is classified into five categories. It is suggested that the generalization area may be broadened and it is necessary to involve more subjects in the large-scale trial.

Abstract

This research aimed at determining the athlete's level of confidence in the three-meter smash on volleyball. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The instrument used was questionnaire about athlete’s confidence with 20 questions. The subject of the research were 12 volleyball extracurricular athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Pundong, Bantul. The data technique analysis used were validity measured by using the Product Moment Correlation formula and reliability gained 0.428 using Cronbach's Alpha. The result of the research showed that the level of confidence of volleyball athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Pundong while conducting a three meter smash was in the category: Very low, 5 persons (41.6%); Low, 3 persons (25%); High, 2 persons (16.7%); Very high, 2 persons (16.7%). The ability to smash three meters can only be done by especially in the open spiker and all-round. It is needed to support their ability in doing the three-meter smash. This study is limited with a few research subjects for those who specialize in open spikes and all rounds who usually do three meter semash. More research subjects with open and all-round specialties were reproduced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan validitas konstruk dan reliabilitas konstruk penilaian keterampilan bermain korfball. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang menerapkan model pengembangan yang dimodifikasi dari Strand Wilson. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah lembar kontrol kinerja yang digunakan untuk mengamati keterampilan bermain korfball. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) sehingga menjadi instrumen yang baik untuk melakukan observasi keterampilan bermain korfball. Hasilnya adalah sebagai berikut. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan bermain korfball dinilai valid, reliabel, dan memenuhi kriteria instrumen baik yang menunjukkan bahwa model asesmen yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan data yang sebenarnya. Validity and reliability of the instrument construction skills assessment of korfball using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis AbstractThis research aims to develop construct validity and construct reliability of korfballball-playing skill assessment. This research is research and development applying the modified development model of Strand Wilson. The performance control sheets are used as the main instrument, employed to observe the korfball-playing skills. The data were analyzed using the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) technique which is prolonged by the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) technique to make a good instrument for performing korfball-playing skills observation. The result is as follows. The instrument used to measure korfball-playing skill is considered valid, reliable, and meets the criteria of a good instrument which shows that the developed assessment model is fit to the actual data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kompetensi guru serta rumusan rekomendasi kebijakan yang mendalam dan kongkrit mengenai konsep strategi implementasi kerja yang efektif, efisien, produktif, kreatif dan inovatif demi terlaksananya program pembinaan kompetensi dan profesionalitas guru secara khusus di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat eksploratif reflektif. Subjek Penelitian adalah para guru PJOK di jenjang Sekolah Dasar di Yogyakarta sebanyak 30 guru yang dipilih melalui mekanisme purposive. Proses pengumpulan data akan dibantu dengan lembar-lembar identifikasi atau pencatatan. Mekanisme pengumpulan data yang selanjutnya adalah dengan melakukan FGD dengan beberapa guru yang juga ditentukan melalui mekanisme purposive. Sementara itu, langkah-langkah yang hendak diterapkan dalam metode analisis data berturut-turut berupa, (1) klasifikasi data; (2) display data; (3) melakukan  penafsiran dan interpretasi serta pengambilan kesimpulan. Guru PJOK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta masih terkendala oleh kapasitas IT, kejelasan program Guru Pembelajar serta rendahnya pendampingan dari instansi terkait, sehingga dalam melaksanakan program ini mereka mengalamai stagnasi. Community based learning menjadi metode yang diingini oleh para guru PJOK dalam mengembangan kompetensinya. Konsep The Five Disciplines dari Peter Senge yang meliputi personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, team learning, dan system thinking perlu didorong dalam upaya menghebatkan para guru PJOK. Needs analysis for the sport and health education teachers after the implementation of learning-teacher program AbstractThe study aims at mapping the in-depth and concrete teacher competence and recommendation formula toward the concept of effective, efficient, productive, creative and innovative job implementation in implementing the special program of teachers’ competence and professionalism development in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region. The study is a qualitative descriptive research with explorative-reflective nature. When the study was conducted, the subjects were 30 teachers of Sports and Health Education in the Elementary Schools degree throughout the Province who had been selected by means of purposive sampling technique. Then, the data in the study were gathered bt means of identification or record sheets. After the data had been gathered, a focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted by involving several teachers who had also been selected by means of purposive sampling technique. Then, in analysing the data for the study the following procedures were applied: (1) data classification; (2) data display; (3) interpretation and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the study, it might be concluded that the teachers of Sports and Health Education in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region are still troubled with their capacity of operating Information Technology, the clarity of Learning-Teacher Program and the low guidance provided by the relevant institution; as a result, the implementation of the program among the teachers become stagnant. The teachers in the program prefer Community-Based Learning as the method for the program implementation. In relation to the demand, the concept of Five Disciplines by Peter Senge that includes personal mastery, mental models, building shared vision, team learning and system thinking should be encouraged in empowering the teachers of Sports and Health Education.

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the characteristics of lactate threshold in Taekwondo Yogyakarta Special Region athletes during competition. This research is a descriptive study conducted with survey techniques. Data was collected with a test that aims to understand how high levels of lactic acid in the blood of Yogyakarta Taekwondo athletes during competition. The sample used in this study is a DIY Taekwondo athletes who participate in Taekwondo championship. This study was conducted in September 2013 at Sports Hall the National Development University of Yogyakarta. In this research, statistical analysis by paired sample t-test. All statistical analyzes were performed with computer applications using serial program SPSS for Windows version 19, with a signi icance level of 5 %. Different test results on the measurement of lactic acid levels at 1, at 2, at 3, at 4, and 5 to show that an increase in blood lactic acid levels. While the results of different tests on the blood lactic acid levels at 6 measurements decrease. Highest levels of lactic acid produced in the measurement to 5 or in Round 3. Recovery with a time of 10 minutes after the match has not been enough to restore blood lactic acid levels in condition before the match or at rest

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce a physical test instrument for combat martial arts in the adult fighting category (2) produce a manual for a physical test instrument in the adult fighting category. (3) Knowing the feasibility of the product manual for the physical test instrument for combat martial arts degrees in the adult fighting category.This research is a type of research (R&D) using the 4D development model. This development model consists of four stages: (define, design, develop, disseminate). This research was conducted at PB Kodrat Yogyakarta which involved two validators, 1 material expert and 1 physical condition expert, 3 practitioners and 2 colleagues and 10 combat trainer respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, the Delphi method, and an assessment rubric. The validity test uses content validity which is analyzed using the aikens v formula and concurrent validity which is analyzed using product moment correlation. Reliability test using Apha Cronbach. This research resulted in a physical test manual for the adult fighting category, which consisted of 12 test items, namely: (1) side split, (2) 20 meter sprint, (3) hexagonal obstacle, (4) standing broad jump, ( 5) shock test (6) Expanding Dynamometer (7) leg dynamometer (8) back leg dynamometer (9) 1 minute push ups, (10) 1 minute sit ups, (11) wall squat test, (12) run 2.4 km. The physical test instrument for fighting martial arts degrees is declared valid with r count > from r table with details; 0.94 > 0.632 and the test was declared reliable with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.945 > 0.765. The product of the physical test instrument for Tarung Degrees has a feasibility percentage of 100% with a very strong/decent/appropriate category from a material expert and 100% very strong/appropriate/feasible. from a physiotherapist. The trainer's response to the manual has a percentage of 96% including in the very very strong / appropriate / appropriate category.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out: (1) the influence of the difference between the direct practice methods and indirect exercise methods toward the drive technique for beginner tennis athlete; (2) the difference of the influence of high and low coordination skills toward the drive technique of beginner tennis athlete; and (3) the interaction between the exercise method and coordination toward the drive technique of beginner tennis athlete.The research sample was 40 students of Coaching Education Department of Sport Science Faculty of Yogyakarta State University who take field tennis lesson. The technique for taking the sample was done by purposive sampling. There were two variables in this research: (1) manipulative variable which consist of direct exercise methods and indirect exercise methods and (2) attributive variable which consist of sample group who have high and low coordination skill. The dependent variable was tennis field drive skill. The data collected were (1) drive technique data, and (2) eye-arm coordination data. The technique of data analysis was used Variant Analysis (ANA VA) in the level of significance 0.05 and continued by Tukkey test.The result were as follows: (1) there is no difference influence between the direct exercise methods and indirect exercise methods toward the drive technique for new tennis othlete F0  : 0.091 F1 0.05: 4.08; (2) there was a difference of the influence between the group sample who has a high and low coordination skill toward the drive technique for new tennis athlete, Fa: 67.354 Fw.as: 4.08; (3) there was an interaction between coaching and coordinating methods toward the drive technique for new tennis athlete, Fa: 10.030 F1 0.05: 4.08; (3.a) drive technique of the group sample who have high coordination skill by using indirect practice methods gave better influence than by using direct practice methods, qa: 5.1 q1 : 3.9698; (3.b) drive technique of the group sample who have low coordination skill by using direct exercise methods gave better influence that by using indirect exercise methods, q0 : 4.2 q1 o.as: 3.9698. Keywords: exercise methods, coordination, drive technique, and beginner tennis athlete
