Abstract

The current problems in the Computer Laboratory of Udayana UniversityTechnical Engineering Faculty include non-standard room temperature of 28 0 C, nonstandardlight intensity average in the room of 110 lux, seat height of 43 cm and tableheight of 74,50 cm being not adapted to the workers’ anthropometric measurements, anddazzling white-colored curtains. Baseline data on six students after 3-hour workingrevealed the following findings: eye fatigue 81%’ and general fatigue 88%;musculoskeletal complaints 51%; average learning achievement 59.5%, performance16.25%, and efficiency 10.09%. In an effort to improve the working conditions, a totalexperimental ergonomic intervention in the form of redesigning the Computer Laboratorywas introduced.In this study 30 subjects were recruited. The data collected were analyzed by usingdesriptive statistics, normality test, comparability test, and paired-simple t-test with asignificant level of 5%.Total ergonomic intervention has resulted in a decrease of room temperature from280 C to 25.830 C (p<0.05), increase in light intensity from 110 lux to 136.67 lux, decreasein eye fatigue from 81% to 23% (p<0.05), decrease in general fatique 88% to 41%,decrease in musculoskeletal complaints from 51% to 11% (p<0.05), increase in learningachievement score from 59.5% to 89.5% (p<0.05), increase in performance from 16.25%to 41.25%, and increase in efficiency from 10.09% to 75.09% (p<.05).The results of this study revealed that appropriate total ergonomic intervention in acomputer laboratory had succeeded in improving the quality of working and performanceof the workers.

Abstract

Working with a computer over a period long enough to be done. Computer is the best medium currently in appearance and in the way of working, because the computer can assist in completing the work in a more rapid, efficient and very easy to use. With the convenience offered by the computer, almost all the work can be done with computer. Computers are a necessity in supporting work and communication tool that is quite reliable. The computer is useful in life, but can also cause problems on users, the computer can issue radiation that affects the condition of the user as well as ignorance in using computers can cause Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). Besides, the use of computers can lead to stress as a result of incomprehension  in determining the condition of the environment on room. To be able to know the stress resulting from the use of computer, conducted research with a sample of 30 people at Udayana University Computer Science students with a design the same subject. Data analysis was performed with SPSS 13.00 and differences in the data before and after the redesigned (improvement), that do use the test independent sample t-test (t test group), at the level of significance of 5%. After a redesigned (improvement) on the environmental temperature is obtained decrease in the standard cold temperatures of Indonesia work of 28.00 C to 25.83 C, occupational stress decreased from 86% to 42%, and improve learning outcomes from 59.6% to 98.1%.. Abstract

Load balancing is a routine done by PLN to manage a distribution substation. It is done on Peak Load Time (WBP) only. Initial load measurements and load data on a distribution transformer need to be done for balancing as input of simulation software. The load imbalance in a power distribution system is due to an imbalance in single phase loads in the R, S and T phases in low voltage networks due to the imbalance of the load the current in the neutral transformer arises. The current flowing in the neutral of the transformer causes losses, i.e. losses due to neutral currents in the neutral conductor of transformers and losses due to neutral currents flowing to the ground. In this research load equalization in substation KD 056 was done by making a simulation on the ETAP program by measuring the value of the voltage on the KD 056 substation. The result of load balancing in KD 056 substation with the simulation ETAP program i.e. the voltage drop obtained from the percentage of KD 056 substation after being balanced by voltage drop on phase R which decreased from 7.30% to 1.36% from the 219VA source voltage. Once the KD 056 substation is balanced, it can lower the voltage drop and power losses, thus the system voltage meets the standards of PLN.

Abstract

Public Street Lighting is a facility needed as a navigation aid for road users, increasingthe safety and comfort of road users, and supporting environmental security. The lack of lightingon the Ngurah Rai Bypass road is then performed a recalculation analysis and replacing theexisting lamps with LED types in order to maximize the lighting contained in the Ngurah RaiBypass. Measurements are made starting from the intersection of the Bali Mandara Toll roadtraffic lights towards (East) Sanur which ends at the first traffic light after the Bali Mandara Tolltraffic light, this road is an Arterial type road with a road width of 8 meters with a road length of1270m. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, that is, data collection isdone through measurement using objective and standard tools. The calculation results are thencompared with the conditions that occur in the field using IBM SPSS Statistics. Based on theresults of the research, it shows that the lamps installed with 10.21 lux still do not meet SNI 11-20 lux. Changing the type of mercury lamp to a 120 Watt LED lamp produces 13.21 lux, whichmeets SNI for PJU lighting.

Abstract

Ketersediaan tenaga listrik sistem transmisi Bali perlu dianalisis untuk mengetahui Bali masih dapat memenuhi beban puncak dari Tahun 2015 sampai Tahun 2030. Keandalan sistem transmisi Bali dianalisis menggunakan alat bantu Electric Transient and Analysis Program(ETAP) power station untuk menentukan nilai System Average Intteruption Frequency Index(SAIFI) dan System Average Interruption Duration Index(SAIDI). Permalan beban puncak sistem transmisi Bali dilakukan mulai pada Tahun 2015 sampai dengan Tahun 2030. Ketersediaan tenaga listrik dianalisis menggunakan neraca daya dengan kondisi N-1 atau kondisi dimana pembangkitan terbesar keluar dari sistem. Analisis keandalan sistem transmisi Bali diperoleh, nilai SAIFI sebesar 1.4264 kali/tahun dan nilai SAIDI sebesar 0.7124 jam/tahun. Analisis ketersediaan tenaga listrik sistem transmisi Bali Tahun 2030 diperoleh, Bali masih aman dengan suplai tenaga listrik sebesar 3959 MW dan cadangan sebesar 1727.7 MW.

Abstract

The large starting current in the starting process has the potential to damage theinduction motor. In minimizing the risk of damage, proper starting methods are needed. TheDirect On Line (DOL) method is a starting method commonly used in induction motors becauseof its economical installation and high work efficiency. The starting method which also has goodwork efficiency is the Variable Speed Drive (VSD). There needs to be a comparative analysisbetween the two methods to find out how the performance of the two methods is.Research results, the ongoing performance of the two starting methods on the fanmotor for cooling towers shows that the performance of the VSD method is superior to that ofthe DOL method. Starting performance on an induction motor can be seen from the efficiencyand economic value of the DOL and VSD methods. This performance is of course taking intoaccount the current, rotation speed and the resulting output power.

Abstract

The load in the form of energy saving lamps has a harmonic loss generated. The harmonic effect generated is caused by the use of non-linear power electronic components, resulting in a current that is made into a distorted sinusiodal wave which results in the formation of waves at multiple multiples of the fundamental frequency. Based on the negative impact caused by the energy saving light, the filter was designed to reduce the THDi percentage generated by the energy saving light, by installing a low pass RC filter on the energy saving light.

Abstract

Load imbalance will always occur in low voltage network systems (JTR), this is due to the uneven use of one phase load on customers coming from household elektrical appliances. The uneven use of loads will cause power losses in the network and drop in voltage. Load equalization on the network is one way to reduce power losses and voltage drop. This research was conducted by analyzing power losses and unbalanced load voltage drop and balanced load on the KL0005 transformer secondary distribution network on the Klungkung Feeder. Based on the result of the analysis, the power losses in the unbalanced load state obtained a result of 3.029 kW and the voltage drop in phase R was 6,1%, phase S was 3,5% and phase T was 0%, while the result of the power loss analysis balanced load obtained 2,9 kW and voltage drop in phase R is 2,6%, phasa S is 1,3% and phase T is 3% with difference in balanced load efficiency and unbalance load of 0,1%.

Abstract

Protection systems play an important role to maintain the reliability of distribution line. Over current relay (OCR) is one of the equipments used as a protection line of 20 kV distribution. Feeder of Bukit Jati is equipped over current protection relay equipment installed in Recloser of Banda and relay in the substation feeder. Based on the data of PT. PLN (Persero) APD Bali, there are 5 time-short circuit disorders which one of them tripped the Bukit Jati feeder. Problems over current relay coordination failures can be overcome by analyzing the coordination of protection systems in the feeder of Bukit Jati. The analysis was done by recalculating the over current relay setting and create the coordination curve of the existing setting and compared it with the coordination curve setting according to the calculation result. The results of the calculation of instant recloser recycling settings obtained by 1.246 A with time multiple setting (Tms) of 0.11 while the value of the instant current setting of the feeder of 2.992 A with Tms of 0.38. Based on the simulation result using ETAP program, it is known that over current relay coordination has worked according to the protection zone when the noise occurrence behind the recloser bus did not result in a trip feeder.

Abstract

Thexhighxusexofxlaptops today by individuals will affect the condition of laptop andcausing various damage to the laptop itself. The limited knowledge by user solving the problemson a laptop make user have to consult an expert technician to obtain a solution for existingdamage. On the other hand, many and varied defects of laptops, as well as the hectic tasks thatmust be performed by technicians, causing problems on the side oftechnicians.xUtilizationxofxinformation technologyxcanxbexaxsolutionxtoxovercomexproblemsbetween users and technicians. By building a web-based expert system to get the result ofdamage diagnosis and repair solutions, hopefully it can help users find out what problems ontheir laptop and make it easier for technician to deal with damage. This research using webbasedforward chaining as system method. This system can display the results of a laptopdamage diagnosis that it come from symptoms asked by system and repair solution fromdamage diagnosis. Basedxonxthextestxresultsxusingxblack boxxmethod,xthexsystems hasfunction that according with system design, can run according to orders, andhavexbeenxdeclaredxsuccessful.xBasedxonxthexresultxofxthexSystemxUsabilityScalex(SUS)xtest, this system obtainxscorex82.5, which means that the whole system can beaccepted as functioning well on the web.
